"I need that money to pay my bills. My internet bill, my water bill, and my WEF membership bill. (Snort!!!)"
And they are delusional.
ACKACKACKACKACKACKACKACKACKACKACKACK!
Book burnings will be all the rage again with people attempting to keep warm this winter erasing history and dying of carbon monoxide poisoning just as the architects planned.
Our dystopia is so gay.
Why couldn’t we get one of the cooler dystopias instead of this terrible in between of 1984 and brave new world
@@luigimrlgaming9484 all the corporate and technology over reach of cyberpunk, but none of the cool gadgets. Our dystopia carefully selected just the worst of all dystopias.
There is an additional, less obvious layer of irony: creating an energy-intensive digital environment during an energy crisis.
Shhh. We're trying to be hip and trendy.
@@jimkid1392 this isn’t even trendy…
@Luigi/MR L Gaming I'm sure there's some people who find this trendy.
But they'd have to be super retarded to do so. Seriously, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANTS THIS??!!
They created the crisis also.
This is what Democracy looks like! (Sees 4 other participants.)
Back in my day we just called that money laundering
you got it.
They're laundering tax money?
Well I mean they've gotta give Zuckerberg his money for doing their bidding somehow Jesus what do you think this is a democracy or something 🤔
or corruption
This is not money laundering, it's graft.
Dehumanizing it's citizens by turning them into a digital rainbow-colored paper-clip, that is the very essence of the E.U.
You are sooo right, Colonel Burton.
I was sitting there wondering why he had a giant O hanging off his nads. It didn't occur to me he was supposed to be a paperclip. That's how bad the designers did.
@@nitrolight1778 Truth be told, I have no idea in heII what that is supposed to be.
@@colonelburton8451 how dare you, a Virgo inclusion hire with the pronouns it/itself spent 30 minutes making that model!
They're not citizens. They are slaves. The masters are just being more blunt now in their messaging.
You know, I'd prefer if they'd just outright embezzled the money instead of doing this.
On second thought, that's probably what they did.
All projects like this are money laundering. Anything woke is embezzlement.
someone tried to offer me the Monarchy pill a bit ago. the more i see things like this, the more i realize they are probably right. at the worst it'd be more honest...
Of course it was embezzled, you really think this actually cost 387k?
I believe to embezzle you have to do it deceptively. This corruption is just theft right out in the open.
@MoreEvilThanYahweh You could certainly make it cost 387k. You could probably make something far better for less money.
But when it comes to the EU, I don't trust them at all.
Whenever you see costly events like this it's just politicians paying friends and family absurd amounts of money and calling it a grant.
100% this.
I absolutely guarantee the company that created the event is run by an old school friend or cousin of the politician that gave it the green light.
yep, money laundering. But legal.
I just watched a clip of rand Paul talking about $118k being spent on seeing if snapping a glove like thanks’ would work
Thanos* because my dumbass phone autocorrected
That's actually the point of government.
Money laundering.
How so? I think you money laundering folks mean to say money stealing.
it really is insane
I'm shook even 4Chan users didn't care enough to bombard the event with slurs and claims of pissing in the ocean or overall destroying the planet
Thats how little we cared: Not even pol or b would show up to troll it, just not worth the effort
If they knew they would.
Guys from the WEF literally said they want to use video games as a way to mentally occupy people they consider useless.
Funnily, I kind of agree with them. It's a fun way to distract yourself when you need to unwind, but for long term "hobby" or "fun" it just doesn't scratch the itch anymore for me. Honestly none of it does except my family, and getting preparedness supplies. *Shrug* some folks think I'm a "doom sayer" I consider myself a realistic-accelerationist. 😆 J/k
@@stillcantbesilencedevennow just become a doom slayer and no one will disrespect you anymore.
Sadly they are wrecking many long running game series with woke bullshit so good luck getting people to actually play in the first place.
@@Hybris51129 So much this. Ever since GamerGate it's like the battle they can't walk away from. They've been pushing and pushing more and more liberal woke bs in gaming. Combine that with the poor quality releases, the terribly unfriendly consumer practices, the games-as-a-service profit-based issues, and rampant abuse of developers via extreme work deadlines and long hours with corporations making the development decisions from a profit based perspective, the golden age of gaming is dead. We're in a warped era of corrupted nostalgia and greedy corpos, and the little guys are contending with the giants for attention. Gaming is not trending in a good direction.
Well they screwed that up considerably
Video games have only gotten worse over the last decade.
The best ones are no longer made by mainstream companies but smaller indie companies
And even still nobody is going to stay on these video games forever. Especially when these video games keep getting more and more frustrating they might just take a good look around at their situation, infact they probably already have
When you realize it's money laundering to some group, person or relative favored by the person authorizing the spending, it all makes sense.
I’m not even sure there laundering it anymore
They might just be wasting it so as to reduce their capacity to fix the problem
My thought is that the "company" is just this eight-year-old kid that whined enough to their uncle to make him in charge of this bit of metaverse, and the kid got scammed, a lot.
That's not actually money laundering. It's graft.
All my life I've always wanted to be a sentient paperclip
I'm glad they finally made a game for people like me
I thought those were his intestines and it was some sort of mutant-fest.
as if Clippy wasn't enough....
Good try clippy
You also got the free hunchback DLC. Life's never been this great.
This is what representation looks like
If there's one thing politicians are good at it's spending other people's money
.
.edit: wasting other people's money
And laundering it even to the banks and coke safe of Ukraine
New rule: politicians can only spend what’s in their pockets. Why did the world suddenly become libertarian?
Taxing the middle class to death and crushing them along with the working class with taxes and inflation while laundering the money I wonder who did that. This led and was the strategy of the Bolsheviks most infamously Vladimir Lenin himself
Wasting other people's money, you mean.
@@Russiansnow The money that is in the pockets of politicians isn't even their money either (unless they obtained it from an actual job/career that didn't involve government subsidizing their salary or income).

Politicians got to point to something… they’re all just really stupid or really malicious (usually).
It's self evidently money laundering, they use Facebook to do "favours" for them and this is clearly payment for, it's the exact same thing as politicians getting millions in "speaking fees" which is essentially payment for the politician voting a certain way or introducing a certain bill

That much money with only five in attendance. The door prizes must have been pretty nice.
Government bloat needs cut.

I can confirm that this is actually accurate. Same energy when I smoked the grass yesterday.
What a travesty. Think of how many migrants they could’ve put up in hotels for that much money. Surely that would’ve helped out the people of Europe.
Leave it to government to spend 387 thousand pounds on something that could have been done with a couple hundred pounds...
They could have spent $10000 or less on a Second Life server and probably had a better turn out.
Let's be real, they spent *maybe* even as much as $2000 on the event, and then pocketed the rest of the taxpayer money.
