i was born and raised and spent most of my conscious life beyond the polar circle, and since childhood been very fond of all the cold things people don’t usually like much, like months long nights, wastelands covered in snow dunes, frost instantly turning your breath into hoar, wind ripping roofs off, and blizzard scratching your face. somehow, as I was becoming more mature, I also grew to enjoy dark ambient a lot, it gives me that overcast serene void, the only kind of peace of mind that feels deeply real and relaxing, like lying outside staring into the cloudy night sky while snow falls down on your face. so this one feels twice comforting, twice like home. thank you so much for it, and for this whole channel as well ❤
I love how this music opens an inner path through my mind, while most of the other kinds only provide a support for sterile daydreaming. Long live to Cryo Chamber and all these great artists !

Fear has coated my mind like this snow Unable to see what's really underneath its indistinct form I can almost make out what's in the trees but it's almost like this forest or nightmare chooses to conceal the abomination behind the snow covered branches I almost wish the cold would take me just from the primal fear it strikes into my very being It's disdain is tangible like a horrific smell on the wind It's getting closer
I dont know what's worse anymore... the cold that bites at my limbs and face or the things I _think_ I'm overhearing being whispered amongst the trees.. the growing trepidation that I can't clearly hear what's being uttered but then I don't think I want to...
The feeling creeping into my mind is a realization I didnt want to have form into clear thoughts let alone into words. The feeling is that I should have succumb to the cold or the exhaustion by now... How could I possibly walk for so long? Its felt like days but night never comes. Willpower? Or what follows in the woods. How can any of this be real? If it's not real, what or where is this place? What's stalking me? A limb broke behind me. The crack of the branch echoed through woods as I turned to face nothing but stillness and silence. As the snow fell and my eyes strained frantically scanning the trees for movement or a figure. I see nothing. It frays my already tattered nerves as I realize the the longer I stare the harder it gets to see. It's getting darker. The longer I stand and stare the more the light seems to wane.. I turn back to the gap in the clouds to see it smaller then what I've been walking towards for seemingly days. The wispers return causing my footsteps to continue to be placed in front of one another. The wispers verge on words. Fear turns to terror.. It's closer.
Another dark polar mix? Thank you, Cyro Chamber! A very welcome and very appropriate treat since it was in the single digits in temperature where I was. I love these soundscapes whenever they come out and just digging the dark polar currently.
Day 208: If the cold doesn't get me the bear will... But, I've managed to wake up one more time, frozen and alone in this desolate wilderness. The Long Dark was only something I had heard of in movies, until my plane crashed in the northern Canadian wilderness. I've scavenged my way through abandoned towns and even found a huge cache of supplies near the broken tail of my fallen plane. The StarLink4 was still intact... Tonight, I awoke, fully rested, though still in the dark depths of night, and noticed that my powercell had fully charged... I connected to the only real place of use to me at this point... the Cryo Chamber UA-cam Channel. As if by some energetic connection of the universe, there it was... The new 'Midnight in Winter' mix. I turned on my earpods, wrapped my scarf and hood tightly around my head, and stepped back into The Long Dark.
