MJ actually did not buy ems catalogue, he bought a company that owned rights to 3-5 eminem songs which eminem later bought back the rights to.. Dont know why people keeps getting this wrong. Google this and you will see. Great video either way guys!!

D12 were Ems homies from Detroit. They had a pact that if one of them got signed, they would bring the rest. Em followed through with that and got D12 signed. He performed with D12 after Bugz was killed. The SSLP 1999, MMLP 2000, D12 DEVIL'S NIGHT was 2001, The Eminem Show 2002, 8 Mile 2002, 50 Cent GRODT 2003, D12 World & Em Encore was 2004. 😎👍 RIP Proof

That whole Michael Jackson story is wrong. Michael Jackson bought a catalog of different songs and in the group Of songs there were mix of three or four Eminem songs. Michael Jackson didn’t buy the catalog of songs just because it had Eminem in it. Michael Jackson was known for investments because he knew it made royalties. Michael was not spiteful like that. Even though he was hurt and disagreed with what Eminem did in the music video I think he was more disappointed/hurt. He was never revengeful and spiteful like that. I think years down the road I think he forgave him in private. He still respected eminem as an artist. This rumor has been spread around the Internet about buying his catalog to get back at him it’s just not true.
Truth except one part of your statement. Michael DID buy artists work regardless of whether the artist wanted MJ to own it or not. Ask Paul McCartney.

This is a year after Stan / Marshall Mathers LP. Eminem has been sober for 18 years. Proof, who was Em's best friend, was killed 2006. And Eminem overdosed on pills and was close to dying Dec 2007.

Nothing “caused” Marshall to do anything.. Slim is a persona (as is EM and Marshall) The funny / controversial (as in shock value) is the persona made for him to attract the larger audience/ get attention. The serious songs “are” who he truly is.. of course he has a great sense of humour too so that adds to the funny tracks + he has a crazy creative imagination. The marketing behind EM was absolute genius and he had the talent to back it up.

Em's first album that made him famous didn't have all the downtrodden shit on it. It was more akin to nerd rap though he talked more shit than general nerd Rap. It was definitely more like this D12 song than the Stan stuff that came later and did take him over the top.
I was a fan of the first album but he list me when he started trying to be hard and soft at the same time. The first Em album was 90's not 2000’s. D12 was 2001.
This is the best version of Em. Definitely the only one i give props to
