- Deadwood is an American Western drama television series created, produced and largely written by David Milch. The series aired on the premium cable network HBO from March 21, 2004, to August 27, 2006, spanning three 12-episode seasons. The show is set in the 1870s in Deadwood, South Dakota, before and after the area's annexation by the Dakota Territory. The series charts Deadwood's growth from camp to town, incorporating themes ranging from the formation of communities to western capitalism. The show features a large ensemble cast, and many historical figures appear as characters on the show-such as Seth Bullock, Al Swearengen, Wild Bill Hickok, Sol Star, Calamity Jane, Wyatt Earp, E. B. Farnum, Charlie Utter and George Hearst. The plot lines involving these characters include historical truths as well as substantial fictional elements. Milch used actual diaries and newspapers from 1870s Deadwood residents as reference points for characters, events, and the look and feel of the show. Some of the characters are fully fictional, although they may have been based on actual persons. Deadwood received wide critical acclaim, particularly for Milch's writing and Ian McShane's co-lead performance. It also won eight Emmy Awards (in 28 nominations) and one Golden Globe.
There were initial plans to conclude the series with two special TV movies, but the plans have not come to fruition. Several of the stars have since commented that the series is now unlikely to return. HBO had repeatedly asserted that the two movies could still be made, but it noted in July 2008 that the possibility of the two TV movies being made was very slim.
The show was produced by Red Board Productions and Roscoe Productions in association with HBO and Paramount Television (CBS Paramount Television in season 3).
Woo's street credit among his people went up to the roof after this. Imagine the biggest badass of the camp (not to mention white it was a big deal) brings Woo a corpse because he stole Woo's stuff.
Damn. I didn't think about it like that. Makes sense.
The real tragedy is Woo missed out on a real satisfying apology. Leon had one hell of an apology in store for him.
With soap.
@@TheGentlemanGamer lmao!! right.
It was a 2 phase apology..
😂😂😂😂
With fucking soap
If you leave your mouse over the thumbnail of this video, you'll see this happy alternative storyline where Swearengen and Jimmy just chat endlessly, while the latter's taking a bath. No violence or nothing. Just two men talking and bathing.
Deadwood
I love that in this scene, Leon is completely oblivious to the danger he's in, whereas Jimmy Irons is *keenly* aware that the short straw means life or death.
The fact they didn’t sense the clear danger they were in
Watching these videos makes you want to be kosher.
You don't like that human after taste in your bacon, or your links? ;-)
The last time I bought bacon by one of the major brands, the stench on cooking it about made me vomit. It smelled like cat piss.
Nah,i am not into kids

Leon was pretty cocky at first...
I think you been lying Jimmy..
You've been wrong, since you first entered here... and that smell... cat piss...
Ian Mcshane is INCREDIBLE at delivering his lines, and his performance... a master of his art!
"Nervousness doesn't cause cat piss smell....LYIN' DOES. I want to tear this entire fucking structure down!"
Simple fucking tasks. What’s so bad about saying sorry. Is life fair?!?
Someone needs to learn how to spoll.
downvote for illiteracy
Someone needs to learn how to spell.
Those hogs are gonna be high as kites after that meal.
Gives new meaning to the phrase high on the hog

Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy.....your big mouth and shitting your pants in Al's office probably nailed your death. The way Al just disposes of him is just beautiful.
Ya he was going no matter what straw he drew
Al couldn’t kill Leon because he worked for Cy
He was gonna kill Jimmy irons anyway because he already had Leon set up to spy on Tolliver's operations
How’s the leather boot taste on your tongue, you simpering COPsucker?
I think it was because he didn't want to start a war with Tolliver.
That’s exactly what it was
"Say your sorry Jimmy". LOL
I'm pretty sure Swerengen knew English and wouldn't make that banal error.
You're 🤡
“With fucking soap” 😢
Is this before Jane encountered the “I apologiiiiiize” guy? Lol
Shut the fuck up! Lol

VDAM1984 yeah I commented on this before I actually watched the show. Before then I was watching snippets on UA-cam. 🤷♂️🤦🏼♂️

@@bradchristensen9283 so, how did you like it?
"Al's a good guy."
no he is really not, but as long as you don't work against his interests he will work within a some ethical boundaries.
This was classic stuff
Should've disposed of Leon also. He gets Trixie who was on the rebound hooked on smack. Even Cy warned his gals not to do dope with Leon.
"Big man. Wu...big man"
This is a. Seties of which u can feel the radiant hatred between people and the. Foul and salacious are. Risen to prominence
Sounds pike his apologies were for the hogs that done were going to eat him. Peice by piece
anyone who hasnt seen this entire series is missing out on one of the absolute best pieces of entertainment, hands down. aside from the spectacular cast, it is from a time when words were a way to express yourself, and not 'violence' which they obviously are NOT. music from the 90's that was in the top 10, with single releases which played on MTV for months now has 'trigger warnings' on youtube. not because google is scared the music will hurt someone, but because rage against the machine advocates for an anti establishment way of life, and google is 250% establishment.
Great show
...you can call meeeeee al...
“He’s lucky we’re even willing to give him that” my goodness the times they were living in. Brilliant scene with even more brilliant acting. One of my favs 👏🏻
I love that Al thought "yea Dan, bring em to the bath house so they're not stinkin' when i fucking murder one of them"

I wonder if dying causes cat piss smell as well 😂😂
Nah, just shit hahahaha
The real tragedy is Leons thumbnail.
I'd never eat pork in that camp.
This was a masculinity test conducted by Al. He was looking for the strongest and weakest man. Leon was more fearless and showed the most courage while Jimmy was looking feeble and acting weak. Never act submissive to anyone in any situation because your executioner will stop respecting you and kill you in the worst possible way.
He needed to keep Leon alive as he was Sy's man. Not killing him meant Al would be privy to whatever Leon could find out about Sy's dealings.
Jimmy was no longer of use
Nah, he was not testing anything. He had decided the smart outcome before he came in.
Mr Psychology, this was no test at all. It was an arrangement. He even tells him so. Leon he used to get leverage and information on Sy. It wasn't about strength and weakness. They brought it on themselves, it's hard to feel much pity for these two individuals. Jimmy robbed the caravan coming from California and stole all the dope, then immediately flipped on Leon when Al summoned Jimmy to ask him about it.
Not even close
No, you’re way off on that. If it was a test (it wasn’t) Swearingen would have respected Jimmy for sensing he was in danger while Leon couldn’t keep his stupid mouth shut. Leon was acting the fool - nothing masculine about that.
