  • I've faced down some pretty dark demonic powers in my life that have attempted to disqualify me or pull me away from God's calling for my life. It's even harder for men nowadays, with so much graphic lust available, on demand. How do you beat it?

The more I listen, the more I realise I've been allowing toxicity into my life, believing it was normal & that I was the problem.
Thank you for your boldness, I pray one day soon I can break my bonds x

My testimony is different. I failed over and over. I am part of three generations of spiritual warfare and sexual immorality. About 15 years ago I rededicated myself to Jesus and my 3rd wife did shortly thereafter. My relationship with Jesus is the focus of my life now. I will be starting a life group for men using "Act Like a Man" . Thank you for being willing to speak on the temptation that men face. May God continue to bless you, your family and your ministry. As a woman, I respect a man who is HONEST. Other white pastors and preachers won't even broach this subject. Blacks do in certain cases, but I don't normally see it amongst whites. THANK YOU. Maybe we can change this.

Why is skin color so important to you. All pastors both black and white ignore this. maybe it’s time to find a church that really preaches God’s word it doesn’t matter to God about a persons skin color. Your statement appears to be quite racist

I am black and I see this topic addressed in white pastors who are actually biblical a lot. That being said, a person's color should not even be addressed as we are all fallen human descendants of two parents; Adam and Eve. If a pastor does not address sin of any type irrespective of color, they might not actually have been called by God and instead chose this vocation on their own. Without a doubt Pastor Driscoll is a genuine servant of the Lord.

I think she is just saying that she happens to hear black preachers address this topic more than white preachers, that’s all. To be honest, I am very disappointed in the way that Pastor Mark is talking about sexuality here. He’s making it sound like it’s perfectly normal to have uncontrollable lusts. I love so many of Pastor Mark’s sermons, but the few times I have heard him talk on this subject have made me extremely disappointed. NOT all men are like this. Jesus said that if we look at others in lust that we are actually committing adultery in our hearts. It means I think that their hearts aren’t pure if they do this. I wish Pastor Mark held himself to higher standards on this topic like a Derek Prince might. He is minimizing and joking about lusts and it’s making it seem like perversions are fine. Let’s set high standards. Let’s not act like this is common place and normal. It shouldn’t be.

This is the first time also that I shared that about myself in this way..I just read in the bible last night that Paul said that this is a spiritual gift to live a life of celibacy. I honestly do not want to live this way for the rest of my life! I want to meet a man that loves the Lord as much as I do and lives their life accordingly everyday. No, we can't be perfect, but I am always trying to better my actions as well as grow in the spirit! It can be lonely, especially having no one to talk to about it..but I am grateful to God that this is a period of time in my life that I have been "set apart!" I believe God has a wonderful plan for my future and this is the time to grow closer to Him and it will prepare me to be the best wife! I don’t think that every man struggles with uncontrollable lust. Every person has his or her own battles that they face. Not every single man necessarily struggles in this area. I’ve read about how there are some people who are actual asexual too. They are more cerebral and get really excited by great conversations. I just think that everyone is different in his or her struggles. I remember talking to a man once who said that s*x was never his issue. It was alcohol.

So while work is necessary- work prioritized over the family should not. Stealing from the family to selfishly do what they want in the business- infidelity and financial infidelity and destroying relationships at any cost- stealing product ideas from other businesses, stealing financial means from the spouse to start the business then discarding the spouse that was necessary start to biz…no integrity…not following gods word but following their own word. It is the ripping apart at a cellular level and so painful for a faithful follower to be on the receiving end.

Doc, yes demonic powers have the ability to throw darts, so to speak, at our brains. That plays a huge role in why you believe the way you believe. You hearing what you think is your own voice in your conscious. The devil does not want you to believe because all unbelievers will not inherit heaven. They will take part in a lake of fire to forever be tormented day and night. Why would anyone choose to go there?

    • @robsummers8210

Gay sex is unnatural and deviant, and sex outside of marriage leaves women emotionally and physically vulnerable because they can get pregnant, so God instituted marriage to provide a healthy and safe outlet for sex, pro-creation and the best family outcomes based on committed love.

I’m disappointed with Pastor Mark in this sermon. It’s hard for me to write this, because I love so many of his other sermons. But I don’t think that every man struggles uncontrollably in this area. We aren’t meant to be animals. I think about Pastor Derek Prince and how honorably he behaved, and I don’t see him talking like this. It is uncomfortable to hear a Pastor talk like this. He has children and grandchildren. I don’t like the new movement for some men to just voice this out in the open as if it’s totally normal. I think we need to call ourselves (both men and women) to much higher standards than this. It’s also incredibly offensive I would think to one’s spouse to talk about one’s struggles in this area. I think of how Jesus said that if we even look at another person with lust outside of our spouse, that we are committing adultery in our hearts.
I think what that woman did to Pastor Mark when he was preaching was of the devil. I don’t like that Pastor Mark gave such a wicked note to his wife after she just gave birth. That wasn’t funny. I think what he should have done was to tell the WHOLE congregation the following week what happened, and to announce that if he ever sees that woman back in that church that he will file a restraining order against her, and that in no way will any type of that behavior be allowed in that Church. If the woman happened to be in the audience at that time, she would know to never return. That type of evil should be confronted directly and rebuked.
Pastor Mark, please don’t make these type of things “normal” or like a joke. We should not be hearing about a Pastor’s sexual struggles in my opinion. It can be very upsetting for some people. Everyone struggles in different areas, and NOT all men have this struggle. As I mentioned below, I remember talking to a man once who struggled with alcohol, and he said that he would choose alcohol over sexual intimacy any day. Not everyone has the same issue and please don’t make sin just seem like the “norm”. It can be upsetting for some viewers. There are men who fall in love with a woman’s soul, with her intellect, and with her personality as well. Some people really thrive on having intellectual discussions with someone, for example.
Also, many women struggle with this issue as well. It’s not just men. Let’s not make sin normalized. Thank you very much and God bless you and all of your viewers in Jesus’s Holy Name, Amen. 🙏🙏
