  • Detroit's offensive philosophy is physical and aggressive with Head Coach Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson at the helm. With weapons all over the field there is not much the Lions cannot do on offense. This is all thanks to the Best Offensive Line in the NFL!

Between 1990 and 2015 the Lions drafted 9 Olineman in the first round Taylor Decker was the 4th OT taken (16th overall) in the 2016 draft. He's performed better than any Olineman the Lions had ever drafted up till that time imo. Decker was the first piece, and one of the best 1st round picks the Lions made in the last 30 years. Last season, Decker came back early from injury which probably hurt his stats but helped the team. I hope he gets his ring this season, just in case this is the last hurrah.

Great points! Yes, he has earned another contract but my fear is that unless he is willing to take a major hometown discount his days could be numbered here in Detroit. I really do not want that but you're right, hopefully we get him his ring this year!

This offense is the most anticipated in my lifetime. Can’t wait to see them take the field.

Between 1999 and 2021 the Lions had a running game was bottom half of the league (usually bottom 5). They would often go years between running backs having 100 yard games. 2020 - 30th. 2021 - 19th. 2022 - 11th. 2023 - 5th.
Without a good Oline, it's hard to run the ball on anything but 1st down, which makes a team very predictable and restricts what they can call. With a good Oline you can run on 2nd and 10 and still expect to be on schedule for a 3rd and short.
With a great Oline and Dan Gamble, you can run on 3rd and 18 and still expect a 4th and go.
    Same Old Lions?

SOL is dead IMO. This oline will dictate everything they do in 2024 and beyond. The trajectory you just laid out is amazing. What a turnaround in 3 short years!!!
