Relaxing sounds of the forest river in spring and chirping birds. Spengla reserve is Lithuanian state hydrographic reserve in the territory of Varėna district municipality. The area is 275 hectares. The lowland of Spengla, which is sharply curved by the floodplain valley, is protected. Trout live, galls are found, water thrushes stay in winter. The Spengla Nature Reserve was established in 1988.
