32:28 "a military film with the robots guest-starring" That's not a conspiracy at all. The US Military will fund big blockbusters as long as it shows them in a positive light (Battleship, the other hasbro adaptation by Bay, is similar). It's also the only way film makers can use actual military vehicles or equipment as props and the US Military gets the final say in how it's presented. Transformers 07 was a car commercial meets a military propoganda film with some toys tacked on. That doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed, or that people are wrong for liking it, it's just the corporate reality of the product.
The US military won’t often give funding but will offer technical support. Extras for scenes, aid in filming vehicles. Being able to film on bases etc. You don’t need it. But you’re going to far more limits in what you have access to.
I’d say the 2007 film was okay, Revenge of the Fallen was mid, Dark of the Moon was a massive step up, Age of Extinction and The Last Knight were terrible, the Bumblebee movie was amazing, and Rise of the Beasts has its flaws but it’s alright
35:46 Rachet being that highlighter colour makes sense because he's an emergency vehicle and needs to be visible. I know in America that a lot of Ambulances are white, but you do get some in that highlighter colour as well
The issue is that in 99% of his appearances, he's a red-and-white ambulance. Just like Optimus is a red-and-blue Semi and Bumblebee is a yellow-and-black car. I don't really care about the rest. Besides, as you said, most American ambulances are white...and the Autobots landed in the States.
@@joshuateixeira2709 Never said it was. But if Bruce Wayne isn't a white guy with dark hair, he's not Bruce Wayne. If Peter Parker isn't a nerd with brown hair, he's not Pete. If Optimus isn't red and blue with horn-shaped ears and turns into a big truck, he's not Optimus. Characters have iconic looks for a reason. Sometimes they deviate and it fits (Arcee in Prime, for example). Other times, they deviate and it doesn't (most Bayverse designs). I like Jazz's look in the films. That's quite a change. I think Sentinel looks pretty rad. Definitely a change. Blackout, Barricade, both pretty good film-original designs. But I dislike Ratchet and I dislike Ironhide. Prime, get rid of the flame job and the mouth and he actually looks pretty good. Just because I dislike certain redesigns doesn't mean I'm opposed to change. It means I don't like *that* change. I like Nick Fury's look in the MCU and Ultimate comics. I like Megatron in Armada quite a bit (I prefer more G1-adjacent looks, but the horns did grow on me). I enjoy Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon. I still *prefer* more comic-accurate castings (Vincent D'onofrio and Gary Oldman, for instance), but I still liked those takes. But I think Ratchet (and Ironhide and Starscream and...most of the characters, honestly) looks ugly as sin in the films. Me having that opinion is not me saying "change bad." It's me saying, "I don't like that."
@@KnightsRealm98 yeah I get what you mean, but Ratchet is nowhere near iconic as Bruce Wayne, Peter Parker or Optimus Prime. It is nice to stick to the classic designs, but at the same time, some of the most iconic designs that were translated over to other continuities came from the movies, like Bumblebee for example. I do agree that the designs for Ratchet, Ironhide and Starscream are ugly, and I feel like the design team neglected the designs of some of the Autobots, with few exceptions. The Decepticons however I like, they do lose a lot of the personality they had in G1 and later with Animated and Prime, but it does the job of making the Decepticons intimidating. I particularly like Brawl and Blackout’s designs. I do think most of the designs are quite terrible or straight up just glorified Bionicles like The Fallen and the Decepticon protoforms. I found it refreshing watching Bumblebee as they managed to translate the designs I grew up with into live action and I wish we had a movie like the original Transformers 2007 movie but with the G1 designs
Hey Knight (if you don’t mind me calling you that), what’s your thoughts on this Transformers cast for a film idea I have? Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime Dylan O’Brien as Bumblebee Jeffrey Combs as Ratchet David Sobolov as Ironhide Liza Koshy as Arcee Frank Welker as Megatron and Soundwave Steve Blum as Starscream Corey Burton as Shockwave Keith David as Barricade Danny Hansen as Thundercracker Mark Whitten as Skywarp

Hey Knight, how would the Bumblebee movie and Rise of the Beasts go if you made them? Also, did Scorponok die in this version? There was also a deleted scene were it would’ve shown Fig dying, which I’m questioning to why it was cut cause it would’ve added some emotional depth to Lennox’s character
@@LordBumblebee1238 Scorponok's still around. I forgot him, but I meant him to be in DotM (there were a lot of characters in that movie). Thanks! Stay tuned for Part 2
i loved the opening that is like the bb movie that take place on cybertron but is based off of the idw comics with the flashbacks that is
This is good, the main reason Bay directed the movie like he did was due to budget.
no its not lol. the reason he did it that way was because he has no idea how to do good story, he just cares about explosions
You should do more of these your not even finished and i like it better than the original
