Hi, in my experience, if a bracelet only has one string and the string brakes, the beads go flying and some may even “disappear”. Therefore I cut the string upfront (measured twice around my wrist with more than enough string to tie double knots) and I use a big eyed beading needle to go through all the beads a second time. This way, ìf the string breaks, the second string will prevent the beads from flying all over the place, and the second string adds strength to the bracelet.
