I remember last year I drove from Wisconsin to Texas, and I was driving through a snow blizzard the whole time because it was snowing in Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas. When I was growing up I loved these songs. Still do. This was a regular sing along for us.
I remember some of the elders and Bible scholars denouncing Kirk Franklin. We didn't care about any of that, we loved the music and was just enjoying it.
These days, listening to some of the lyrics from back then to now, I realize that Franklin is not what he appears to be.
