I too love navy cause it’s dark enough to be an alternative to black but with some color that makes it to stand out! Again I too love ferragamo and have a few pairs of their shoes which I find so very comfortable! And of course their bags! In a way I’m glad they’re not becoming too trendy because I’m sure their prices would go even higher! 😊❤❤❤

I just went in to purchase the Navy, but fell in love with the olive green season limited and purchased that instead! They are so lightweight and can fit in all the those little extras that must be transported home at the end of the day!

Oh I am such a gold girl, too! I love all the accessories you listed. I have that same Longchamp bag - love it. I also put in a felt insert to help keep its structure and protect the corners from wearing. It’s so easy to carry. Lily Silk items are such good quality and feel wonderful. Unfortunately, they don’t have petite sizing, which I need, so anything long sleeved on me is too long. However, I love how you simply turn up the cuffs and it looks both casual and elegant. I always look forward to your thoughtful videos.

This is an excellent video! So many simple and elegant choices. While I do love navy, I also love deep charcoal grey as a foundation colour. I believe it suits Soft Summers even better than black, and goes beautifully with black accessories. Adding an accent colour such as Cyclamen plum or vivid midnight blue can be wonderful. 😊

“6A” refers to the silk fiber-quality rating, not the sheen. Any combination of quality level and sheen is possible, if not necessarily desirable. Different weaves create different surface finishes or sheens, from roughish (raw), matte (as in crepe de chine), semi-matte (as in habotai/habutai, most scarves are in this weave) and satin/charmeuse (glossy). I wear mostly silk clothing, because of impossible skin allergies, and prefer matte or semi-matte sheens because then no one knows I’m wearing silk, so I don’t get those comments like “what are you, made of money”?, why are You so dressed up”?, etc. Lily Silk makes lovely silk items, it’s my principal clothing brand. Their “sueded” silks are really nice. I especially love silk knit/jersey, there is nothing half so blissfully comfortable. Boden also makes really nice silk shirts in a matte weave, they’re completely wrinkle-free unless you park a truck on them!
Janis do you mind if I ask a personal question? How tall are you? By your ratio of head to body I am guessing that you are taller than average. I also really like your makeup, your application looks pretty and chic, much more French and not discernibly 'made up'.

These type of pockets, are sewn shut as part of the manufacturing process for this type of pocket. They are normally left that way, so the consumer can decide whether they want to open them, or not. It is much neater looking to leave them closed
that first piece may have been a sailor shirt, but i think for most Americans it is more closely associated with the striped prison shirts inmates had to wear lol esp when the navy looks black
Ramona, I would love to wear my hair down, but unfortunately I had a health issue over the last two years that caused my hair to be extremely dry, and my scalp to be so sensitive. I cannot use normal hair care products so I must wear it up, I’m afraid. But, I’m grateful to still have my hair at least. Hopefully, someday it will get back to normal looking… in the meantime, I must wear it up.☺️
Dislike a blouse hanging out of the bottom of a sweater of jacket-looks sloppy, no matter how fashionable it is thought to be. The bow blouse? I wore those in the late 70’s, early 80’s. No thanks. SPF shirts are great!

I too love navy cause it’s dark enough to be an alternative to black but with some color that makes it to stand out! Again I too love ferragamo and have a few pairs of their shoes which I find so very comfortable! And of course their bags! In a way I’m glad they’re not becoming too trendy because I’m sure their prices would go even higher! 😊❤❤❤

Your videos are wonderful! Your presentation is so gentle, you are well styled, old money! I just love the Longchamp bag! I just went in to purchase the Navy, but fell in love with the olive green season limited and purchased that instead! They are so lightweight and can fit in all the those little extras that must be transported home at the end of the day!

Oh I am such a gold girl, too! I love all the accessories you listed. I have that same Longchamp bag - love it. I also put in a felt insert to help keep its structure and protect the corners from wearing. It’s so easy to carry. Lily Silk items are such good quality and feel wonderful. Unfortunately, they don’t have petite sizing, which I need, so anything long sleeved on me is too long. However, I love how you simply turn up the cuffs and it looks both casual and elegant. I always look forward to your thoughtful videos.

While I do love navy, I also love deep charcoal grey as a foundation colour. I believe it suits Soft Summers even better than black, and goes beautifully with black accessories. Adding an accent colour such as Cyclamen plum or vivid midnight blue can be wonderful. 😊

Your vlogs are so calm & relaxing & You have such a pleasant calm voice. May i make one suggestion? The music you use at the beginning & end is rather jarring & juvenile. I like the intro music too, it's different and a little offbeat. Not childish at all.
“6A” refers to the silk fiber-quality rating, not the sheen. Any combination of quality level and sheen is possible, if not necessarily desirable. Different weaves create different surface finishes or sheens, from roughish (raw), matte (as in crepe de chine), semi-matte (as in habotai/habutai, most scarves are in this weave) and satin/charmeuse (glossy). I wear mostly silk clothing, because of impossible skin allergies, and prefer matte or semi-matte sheens because then no one knows I’m wearing silk, so I don’t get those comments like “what are you, made of money”?, why are You so dressed up”?, etc. Lily Silk makes lovely silk items, it’s my principal clothing brand. Their “sueded” silks are really nice. I especially love silk knit/jersey, there is nothing half so blissfully comfortable. Boden also makes really nice silk shirts in a matte weave, they’re completely wrinkle-free unless you park a truck on them!

These type of pockets, are sewn shut as part of the manufacturing process for this type of pocket. They are normally left that way, so the consumer can decide whether they want to open them, or not. It is much neater looking to leave them closed

Ramona, I would love to wear my hair down, but unfortunately I had a health issue over the last two years that caused my hair to be extremely dry, and my scalp to be so sensitive. I cannot use normal hair care products so I must wear it up, I’m afraid. But, I’m grateful to still have my hair at least. Hopefully, someday it will get back to normal looking… in the meantime, I must wear it up.☺️
