I once in a while get a Left behind notification of my Airpods Pro or my S7 being left behind. Even though they are in close proxymetry to me/my iPhone 12 pro (like 2 meters or so).

It’s a great feature. When it works! If I leave my iPhone in the car I don’t always get notified or I get notified after I have gotten all the way in my apartment. It would have been better to get notified before I get into the building.
Why do I not receive notifications immediately after disconnecting from the air tag, but only after, for example, walking 200 m + or after about 4 minutes? After all, it's stupid, it should immediately notify you that you've left your keys behind, and not when you've already driven or crossed half of the city. Im use Iphone 14 Pro.

LMAO I'm grateful for this feature but more often than not, the phone still notifies me that I left one of my device behind although it is surely in my backpack.

Except my AirPods Pro keeps on notifying me it was left behind at my last known location when in actuality it’s currently with me in my pocket. Gives me a mini anxiety attack every time I get a notification like this.

We need features like
1. App lock to lock any application
2. PiP for WhatsApp and facebook video calls
3. call recording is a MUST HAVE in the times of fraud
this would really be useful for parents so they dont need to yell at kids for losing their phone

I used to just load my entire music library right from my computer and now I have go every single Item while connected to wi-fi and hope I didn't forget a single item. Also
the damn iCloud doesn't download my whole library onto my iPod tough and it is very annoying to go every single album song what ever to download items. And Yes I have the Library sync on and yet I still have go to every item to download it. It sure feels like your just forcing a harder to use (What used to be an option) on everyone. I would like to just load Music from my computer to my iPod without a connection to Apple just like when I first got it.

I doesn’t work with my AirPods Pro
This sounds like a helpful feature. Does Apple have a channel for people who use VoiceOver? I'm a new Apple user and find doing things like removing app icons on my home screen to be VERY easy if I was fully sighted, but no idea how to long-tap to select an icon to delete it when VoicOver is on. One finger, two fingers, three, all it does is read the name of the app to me. or make a short sound. That's just one example of how challenging it is to do wht everyone else with an Apple device can do.

Do you know why this won’t work for my AirPods Pro? The option is not there on my iPhone se 2020. I can do it on my iPad mini 6, but I want it on my iPhone!

Great, I just wonder from which devices you can do this. I seriously doubt it works on an iPhone 6S plus. Could you give a list of the compatible iPhones, please?

I set up Except 1 location 300 ft. Does that mean that when I leave and go beyond the 300 ft, will Notify Behind be activated?

@@applesupport In my testing, if I set the exception location as my home when I leave home with my iPhone, I will NEVER be notified of devices and items Left Behind.
If I remove the exception, I WILL be notified when I leave the area on my iPhone

The question is how far will you get away from the item before it goes off and how long will you be away from the item before the alarm goes off and let you know that you've left it behind

Does this work both ways with the AirTag? If my AirTag leaves the trusted location will it notify me if I’m at home (trusted location)?

In my testing, an AirTag leaving the Trusted Location will NOT cause a notification on the iPhone.

That is really interesting. I have never seen AirPods, AirTags, or a MacBook being able to report Left Behind notifications to an iPad as an option.
By chance, does your iPad have a cellular connection? If so, what happens if you turn it off when setting up Left Behind on the AirPods?

Surprising that Iphone does not notify when watch us left behind, forgot my watch at the airport security
It can't do that because the Apple Watch can be assigned to show a notification when the iPhone is left behind.
The Apple Watch treats the iPhone like a "device", just as the iPhone treats an iPad as a "device".
A "device" like an iPad can't show a notification for the iPhone left behind.
How come notify when left behind is not an option on my end?

@@applesupport I do have the 13 pro max I contacted apple support but she couldn’t even figure it out. Find my location is already turned on. So for the “notify when left behind” does it only work for apple watch/Ipad/airpods products?

Here is a problem... if you choose your home as a Trusted Location because you don't want notifications as you move your iPhone around in the home... then you will NOT be notified when your iPhone moves out of the trusted location (you leave home)... your devices and items will NOT send a Notification... you leave home without your AirPods
