1 sit down and recite the quran with contemplation 2 listen to sermons of Prophet (saw) or of pious muslims who uplift your faith 3 when you attend janaza (funeral prayer), imagine it like you are attending your own (i.e. it's your time of death)
It's so true that listening to Quran moves heart and calm it down with very pleasing vibes. I felt it when I started listening after 10 years almost. Alhamdulillah! May Allah (s.w.t) guide us and protect us all.
We can get rewarded even in almost all of our daily activities, such as work, study, self-improvement, talking to others, etc., by having the intention of doing it for the sake of Allah

He was from the best of people and if I was to be in any one of these 3 states, I'd know I'm fron the people of Jannah: 1. the moments that I'm reading the Quran and listening to the Quran, 2. when I listen to the khutba of the Prophet (s), and 3. when I'm witnessing a Janazah. Every time I watcg a Janazah in front of me, I talk to myself and tell myself what the deceased is going through; I tell myself from the perspective of the person who is dead what is happening to me right now and imagine what I'm experiencing. "
