the second place you stopped is one of my favorite. they used to have their kitchen on the beach side with a funky guitar shaped bar. The last time I was there it had been washed out in a storm and they moved across the street for their kitchen. They do the best beef noodle soup I have ever had!
Hey Suay! Seriously, the food in Thailand is so so good. We miss it already. Now we're going to have to come back to eat some more, lol. Plus the Thai people were so nice to us.
Thank you for making this VDO. I watched it in the night and the next day, I run to Chao Reau restaurant ordering 2 dishes that you guys introduced. It was SURER GREAT! The best fried fish dishes I ever had. By the way, I’m Thai. 😊
I'm always so happy when a viewer goes somewhere we recommend and loves it! We were lucky to be staying 5 minutes from that restaurant so we ate there a lot. The food is great and Mr. Chai always took good care of us. Nice to hear that you, as a Thai, thought it was great too! Thanks so much for the nice comment!
Nice! Btw you got the catfish salad confused for the softshell crab Went and tried the catfish salad and fried fish today from that restaurant… incredible
this video is so enjoyable and also really helpful!! about to go to koh samui in 2 days, has it been raining or pretty sunny? really hoping for good weather even though I know it’s monsoon season
Oh awesome CJ, have an amazing trip and make sure to check out the Fisherman's Village night market. It was our favourite that we visited on the Island and is open Monday, Wed, and Friday evenings. We left Koh Samui a few weeks ago (our videos are a bit behind because it takes a while to edit them, etc) but the rains when we were there weren't really bad at all, but you just never know with Monsoon season I think. We've been wet non-stop in our current location, we'll tell you more in next week's video. We hope you get good weather on your trip!
Hi guys, super good video! When you're both talking about, eating, and filming food you're clearly in your passion spot/element - it's infectious! Particularly liked your street food section, and your final meal at Green Leaf. Your street food bit was super cool in the way you filmed the authentic cooking. And the Green Leaf section was awesome in the way you went behind the scenes - filmed the food prep, ate what the chef recommended, etc. You're both super passionate about food and you interact with people so brilliantly too. Focussing on the people and their businesses that are behind the local food could be a sweet spot...with you then eating their creations after speaking with them. Apologies for perhaps too much detail (!) - I just think you both are totally awesome!
Hey Hamish! Not too much detail at all, we really love the feedback from viewers. We loved the street food markets in Thailand, and we find that when we're happy and having a lot of fun, it tends to come across in the videos. We also love the times where we can talk to the restaurant owners, see the food prep in the kitchen, etc. Angela loves to cook so she's trying to steal their secrets in the kitchen too! So we try to talk our way back there whenever we can 😂 Sometimes it's hard due to language barriers, sometimes people are camera shy. When we come around with our cameras blazing we don't blame people for being uncomfortable. Lord knows that after a year of this we're barely comfortable in front of the camera. Gobi, the owner at Green Leaf was a super cool guy. So passionate about the cuisine, smart and well-travelled so we loved talking to him. But we have some really cool food stuff planned upcoming in a few weeks, let us know what you think then! Take care & hope all is well in sunny London 😂
@@PureDetour I think we can make it. But so many food videos on UA-cam. We will make videos, why we travel . We will learn from other culture and take the best for our life. Best wishes Siri and Uwe
Hey guys, I'm a new subscriber and loving the channel. You must spend a lot of time in the gym. How are you not fat ? We're coming to Samui in the middle of November (we're English so we can handle the rain) it'll probably end up as a food and drink tour but we can handle it. Keep up the great work.
Dearest Mick, you are our new best friend. Not one person has ever suggested that we look like we spend lots of time in the gym, so we are forever in your debt for the lovely ego boost today 😂. If you're looking for food and drink also check out the restaurant in our Koh Samui Tour Video called Mekong. It was delish. Thanks so much for your kind comment, I hope you enjoy your trip and that you get some decent weather.
@@PureDetour Mekong Restaurant looks very nice. Luckily we'll be going into Chaweng fairly regularly so we will definitely check it out. We're staying in the south east of the island this time.
Thanks Jennifer! We listed the restaurant names in the description if you're looking for them, I think they're all on Google maps. Go check them out! We don't put the so-so restaurants we tried in the video, so all of these are our top finds, go check them out!
Thailand has 4 regions in the North, East, South and West. If you can present each province in detail in terms of culture, food and nature, I am sure it will be of great benefit to your followers and to you.
Yes, this video is more over a year old now. Angela and I split up a few months after this was released. Em is someone i started seeing a couple of months ago
@Dana ****, In all of our travels only Geoff has had food poisoning and that was back home in Canada. We have been to Thailand multiple times and never once have we been sick and we street food daily everywhere we travel. Just look for the packed stalls with all the locals. We tend to stay away from places that nobody is eating at.
Hi, do you remember how early is the night market start at, our cruise ship will stay in Koh Samui for 10 hours, the ship will be leaving by 5pm, do you know if the night market will start early on a Sunday ?
Hi Judy, the video is chaptered with the names of the restaurants. Obviously we couldn't list all of the places at the Fishermans village night market, but the good thing is it's no too big so you should be able to easily find anything we had there

Well i think that's not papaya but the green mangoes which they add to give a unique sour taste.
Ahhh, good to know. It was very delicious
Good day ! Yummy ! Thank you .

at 6.36 was not papaya salad, it was green sour mango salad.

unless i missed something, you only put prices up of the street food ? would be nice to know what each dish/meal cost..thanks
Hi Nic. you're right, we keep meaning to add the prices when we upload the videos and we keep forgetting. We'll try to add in future videos.
