Is it any wonder during all of the filming and photo shots their chemistry wouldn't go off the charts. Sentiments do project. Caitriona Balfe is beautiful, filming with Sam Heughan must have been very difficult not to be "swept away", irrelevant of how good a model she was before acting...good for them! It must not be easy.
I totally agree! I believe Sam did have a thing for her but she did not! How she could have resisted him I’ll never know! He is a good one and quite a catch! I would not have been able to say no to him! But we are all different in our feelings for one another!❤
Cait was already dating Tony McGill (her real life Jamie) when she and Sam first met at their initial “chemistry test” reading session. I suspect that Sam still carries a private romantic torch for Cait, but he is also a gentleman and respects her all-abiding attachment to Tony. This adds to the magic of the great actors portraying Jamie and Claire on video.

I get the strong feeling that Sam the actor is totally enjoying making these photo shoot stills with Cait. Sam’s expressive ocean blue eyes betray that he is feeling quite aroused by her on some level, even though he is also a polite and considerate sort and has been totally respectful of his costar’s feelings. While they have always been just good friends, I suspect that Sam has other and deeper suppressed feelings for Cait. If she had not been engaged to and eventually married to Tony, I suspect that Sam in other circumstances might have explored their relationship much more. It makes for good visuals and a sweet tension when filming the Outlander series.

There is a director at these shoots…the photographer directs their every move, there are also assistants so they’re not on their own…get your mind out of the gutter
