I love Iranian bread shops. In the morning they're the happy smell of fresh bread & life harmonious with the sunrise from behind the the blue & snowy mountains.

Tell all the idiots criticising why a child is working in this bakery, did it every occur to you he could be the son or relative of the owner? Here in the west I see this everyday. Eg kids working in their family business.
But no one says 'oh look child labour!'. Of course, child labour is wrong. It is never acceptable. But yes kids work in the west. And sometimes it is not cheap child labour but maybe kids who want extra pocket money.
Bravo anyway to this young lad who seems to be able to run a bakery by himself. May this hard working Iranian live long and prosper!

I see mennonite children at our local farmer's market every weekend working the counters and stalls. They know the value of hard work and contributing to their family business. I think a lot of children in the west are lazy and spend too much time on social media, raised in a coddled environment. They grow into adults that can't cope with the real world. At least this boy is learning a way to earn a living and isn't roaming the streets in a gang committing crimes like a lot of youth in America.

I agree. This talk of child labor is silly. Real child labor is a kid working from dusk to dawn in dirty clothes in a sweat factory, not helping their parents at a relativly safe bakery. There is no proof that this child is either forced to do this or he is doing it under terrible circumstances. I'm sure he helps out on a non-school day or this is after school.

You are very wrong. I can bet you are a westerner. Other parts of the world really get how to raise kids strong, independent, responsible and hard working adults. And that starts as early as possible within the ability of the child. Why do you think mostly in the west part of the world (America) you see 20-30 year olds addicted to their computer, mentally I’ll and depressed with no job or life plan living out of their parents basement.
I think the US system has become manipulated to make the citizen be dependent on the government (ultimately to control) instead of encouraging society to allow kids to work sooner (of course within the child’s ability and regulations) society would benefit so much more in so many ways.
In the end work has never hurt a child, but no work has and is.
I hope you understand I don’t mean the ir regulated child sweat shops kinda work.
BTW! What did you see on this kids face to tell you he hates what he’s doing.
In fact I see how proud and capable he feels. That is another great benefit. A sense of purpose and self confidence.
Just my experience as a 48 year old European mom of 4 living in the (used to be ) great country of the United States.
