मूवी से आज के समाज को भी सीखने की जरूरत हे ताकि छोटी छोटी बातो से टूटते परिवार को रोका जा सके । एक फिल्म का क्या उद्देश होना चाहिए इसे बखूबी रूप से बावर्ची में दिखाया गया है। 70,80 के दशक को हिंदी सिनेमा का स्वर्ण काल कहा जाए तो कोई अतिशोक्ति न होगी। काश इस तरह की movies Bollywood में आज भी बनाई जाती।
ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी के निर्देशन का जवाब नही। उनके हर चलचित्र जैसे खूबसूरत (१९८०), आनंद, चुपके चुपके, गोलमाल में कोई न कोई गहरी सीख और भरपूर मनोरंजन होता है। वह अपने अभिनेता और अभिनेत्री को बड़े ही सख्त तरीके से काम करवाते थे।

In 1972 l was a 4th officer working on an Norwegian oil tanker in the merchant navy. I was 23 years old. We had docked in Bombay oil jetty and l remember myself and another 3rd engineer had taken shore leave to watch this movie at Minarva. It was like a fresh breeze after spending months at sea.
What a beautiful picture with simplicity.That created in 1972 means 50 years back. Now a days so many films are made useless. No family Story. No joint family story. Every where fight shoot. rape,.... suspicion... New Generation should see this and learn from this Film. This is recommended for those born after 90,s. Lastly beautiful introduction by non other than Amitab Bachan Ji's voice lovely
