20 years ago, as Audit Trainee, I was on an asset verification team for one of the north-west states. We saw a lot of expensive, new but now obsolete equipment that were yet to be unboxed since the 1970s and 1980s when they were acquired at centres and facilities that were basically wasting away.
There’s nobody who won’t snap up Eurobonds at 10% after a 750 bp cut in U.S. rates. Nigeria has to pay $16b in principal and interests over the next decade on dollar bonds alone
Raised interest rates is the primary cause of the underperformance in the agricultural sector. The CBN should reverse this tactics of using interest rates to control inflation. It is not working; it would rather erode our productive capacity and further exercebate the food crisis.
Chai! This Rotus guy don try. Which kine analysis you wan use for Nigerian economy😂 By the time you finish preparing for TV, tinubu don change goal post 😂
Will you stop talking this nonsense. France used to be the third largest foreign investor country in Nigeria with many manufacturing companies employing a very large number of Nigerians until the de-industrialisation of Nigeria in the 80s and 90s. Nigeria/ French relations had been a very fruitful and productive one in the past. It was about business and trade with no political undertones or involvement. President Tinubu is trying to revive the benefits that Nigeria enjoyed doing business with France in the past.
Most of you were not yet born when your grandpa or grandma used to work in French multinational companies earning good salaries and riding the Peogeot, Nigeria s number one car in the 70s and 80s.
The stupid stuff that France has been doing in Francophone countries, they never tried in Nigeria. Nigeria was christened the giant of Africa at the time and highly respected in the comity of nations. A dollar was selling for less than #1 naira at the time. I just wanted you about our history with France. France will not at this juncture do anything that would cost them their friendship with Nigeria haven been kicked out of the Francophone countries.
