- is the Kymco Xciting 400i able to compete with the Yamaha T-Max 530cc ? In terms of power definitely, in terms of price for sure, but design, image and quality ? well there is still some progress to be made, is the Xciting exciting ? what do you think guys ?

Love it ...love it ...and would not want to trade it for a Yamaha, Honda or Piaggio or else....it is sharp looking, drives like a motorcycle but with the comfort of a scooter.... done 11K miles on Swiss Alpine passes and it goes around curves like breeze....I am entirely happy with my purchase :)

How is the fuel consumption like, how many kilometres you can go on a full tank?
The best town scooter. Top speed can reach 170kmh... I owned it since 2013..
I have the 2015 model. My scooter after use of just 3 - 5km when I reach my destination I wont shut the engine off immediately as the engine fan is on atleast for 30seconds to 1 minute. This happens in cold or hot weather say 15 - 30 degrees. Does this happen with you ? If not, what could be the problem ? Please also advise if changing the engine oil will help, right now using 10w-50 changed at the Kymco dealer. My bike only goes to max 123kmh and not 170kmh.

Tres confortable, moins confortable qu'un Maxsym 400 ou 600 mais plus sportif, le chassis est un peu plus raide un peu comme le T-max
J'ai pocédé un honda sh300i année 2010, et je l'ai revendu pour la seule raison que je ne suportais plus les coups de raquette dans le dos à chaqu irregularité de la route.
Aussi ce s400i kymco me plait bien. Donc merci pour votre retourt et de votre vidéo cher monsieur
@@bilithequid7543 je conseille fortement les scooters SYM qui sont souvent plus confortable, mais pour eviter les coups de raquettes dans le dos rien ne vaut une vrai moto avec de vraies suspensions 😉

Hi can it beat downtown 300i drag race? is anyone tested?
it can but clutch and cvt must be correct setup if it have correct setup than it should be around 10% faster in accceleration than downtown 300 .
beacuse downtown have around 23 whp what give with 80 kg rider around 85-86 whp per tone and xciting 400 have 28 whp =96 w/t so around 10% more acceleration .

1. You need check eng liquid box. maybe its not enough!
2.check Mars plug & Injector.Replace Air clean.
3.on the speedway my bike max only 160/kmh.....
4.My bike right now over26000km.Its good work everyday.

well 116.800.000 IDR for the Kymco and 195.000.000 IDR for the T-Max, the problem as usual is the import taxes in Indonesia which makes those bikes and scooter overpriced

the overall design is ok, but the dash though.. the dashboard looks really outdated..
anyway, what is it with kymco and pointy headlamps? almost ALL of their scooters big and small have sharp pointy headlamps.. LOL hahaha :D
yes the dashboard is disappointing especially when you see the dashboard of the Kymco Downtown 200 more actual in design

The Tmax 530 is not the competitor of the kymco xciting 400i.. It should be compared with the yamaha xmax 400

I have the S400 2020. And its slow slow slow. I modified it by adding a mallossi variator and upgraded clutch spring Rapid bike easy air fuel controller and race arrow exhaust. Still nowhere quicker than Tmax. Sorry i bought the scooter. Kawasaki j300 bmw 400 are quicker. Tmax kills all

no it dont ak 550 for sure but not xciting 400 ,both ak and tmax are project in little diffrent way than tradiotional scooter like xciting t max have less no sprung mass on rear axle than xciting similar weight whellbase probably stronger frame however xciting also not belong to weakest , tmax also have more lean angle around 50 degress while xciting only around 40 deegres maybe 42 and tmax have stronger engine it pumps 35 whp xciting only 28 whp ,xciting 400 is good scooter but defenitely not competition for tmax 530 in sport terms it win only in one competition =weight its lighter be 5% around if we take only sports category in rating than i give 4 :1 for tmax 530 well maybe 5:1 t-max =les mass no sprung , better power to weight rati, more lean angle what give tmax more speed on corner in good weather , stronger frame and closer 50-50 mass schedule so it have 5 point and xciting win only lower weight 210vs 220 kg so it have 1 point in sprot category in any other category both are very good so daily ride in city or tourist ride both are probably close in comfort fuel consumption etc real oponent for tmax 530 is kymc ak 550 for sure not xciting 400 .

@@chrisw4215 hi im lil far from this theme now from thsi what im remeber there was couple version /years or maybe not :x give me some time i answer you more precisely when i do lil research about what im writing about ;) this what im know for sure it have typical scooter drive train not like tmax or ak 550 or bmw c 650 etc what is in terms of drive properties disadvanatage =biger mass on drive wheel which isint amortization less lean angle it also is probably heavier than xciting 400 and it isint probably also faster on straight overall good tourist scooter but if im must joice i take xciting 400 or tmax or ak 550 also they end produce them i quees its god alarounder but heavy and not as agile as new construction like xciing 400 tmax 530 ak 550 .ok so it have also good brakes i have silverwing 600 in 2018 0r 2019 it was faster on stright than xciting 500 but have much worse suspension i mean to soft front xcitig have better suspension which better balance scooter ergonomcis is most individual issue depend on somebodys size weight for me silverwing 600 was god only for short distance at longer it have to small space behinde drive wheel im also seat once on xciting and from short conatct witch this scooter i can say that it have lil better ergonomics like for me 183 cm seat lil higher also on + like for me in xciting because you have better view however some people prefer to seat more inside than on mototercycle /scooter i more like on it give feeling more like fly in air rather than be closed in cage :x so yea alot depend on indyvidual preferences you can hear alot diffrent argue at end it depend on you what you buy what you really want and prefer so best be just try those vehicle which intrest you in test drive simple as that :x only paper can be decive especially if somebody not ne cessery understand very precise what they write in test etc especially about engine characteristic and drive train but if you want know me word than like im write overall not bad scooter very god brakes and god suspension and god ergonomic like for me engine dont have supoer strong peak performance but nice elasticity and for daily riding most people should be happy ;x its drive train construction is disadvantage comapre to roller from sport category like kymco ak 550 tmax bmw c650 but not when you comapre to scooter like xmax 400 etc which have the same drive train on rear wheel so you know thers alot small difrenc which overall can somebody fit well and somebody not so well gretings .
about this drive performance comapre to new sprot scooter ak 550 .tmax 530 in daily riding in fact most people dont feel to big diffrenc only when they start to drive really fast and agresively on some twisties etc but even than if they dont try tmax530 and ak 550 they dont be feel big diffrenc ;) those nromal typical constsuction cvt drivetrain at rear wheel give more mass at rear wheel in results when you try to go very fast out of corner the front wheel faster try to exit from road on outside but like im write you found such issue only when you start drive really agresive :x.like in me silverwing 600 which have the same construction and alot mass at rear wheel i was unable to go so fast out of corner after hit tip of corner comapre to for egzample sports bike :x or kumco ak 550 .also lean angle is lil smaller it have i uees like 40 degeres max like silverwing 600 probably vs ak 550 have 50 degress so it can lmited somebody who try to ride really fast on twistes especially if he cant use proper sport body balance techniue on corner which increase artificial lean angle ;) but still i quees even with marc maruez behind its wheel it be stay behind more and more from scooter like ak or tmaxx on track for egzample :x anywway if im must joice again beewten silverwing 600 and xciting 500 i probably go with xciiting it have more + than - comapre to silverwing like for me preferences . xciting alos have lil boger wheel diameter than me previous sioverwing 600 fo egzample what this mean ? =it better take hole and other bump on road so like for me xciting win with me silverwing 600 because of 3 factor = lil bigger wheel size for wors road ,lil better ergonomic and much better suspension .it is lil slower on straight the diffrenc is like 10 sec to real 100 km/h not tahco vs lik 8,5 sec it also probably burn less fuel than silverwing so overall i say it uiet nice scooter .
@@mociczyczki Dziekuje za szybka odpowiedz. Dla mnie skutery to dosc nowa dzialka bo zawsze jezdzilem motocyklami. Ostatnio mialem Kawasaki 1000 ale stwierdzilem ze robie przerwe na rok, dwa az ten caly bajzel z wirusem sie uspokoi. Kupilem skuter Hondy 250 bo nie wyobrazam sobie zycia bez dwoch kolek, przynajmniej na razie. No wiec tak.. jest inaczej ale fajnie. Motocyklisci mnie nie widza (smieszne) a samochody traktuja jak cos gorszego. Najbardziej zabawne jest jak kierowcy szybko lapia kompleksy. Skuter jak motor, wszedzie sie wcisnie a spod swiatel nawet ta 250tka rusza naprawde szybko no I juz pare razy mialem sytuacje ze samochody gonily mnie tylko po to zeby byc przedemna tak im wjechal na ambicje skuter o pojemnosci 250cm haha
Pytalem o Kymco bo mysle zeby kupic w lato xciting o pojemnosci 500. Bedzie troche wiekszy i comfort z pasazerem na pewno lepszy. Bralem pod uwage tez silverwing 600 ale kymco zwyczajnie wyglada lepiej. Honda z pewnoscia zagwarantuje pewien stopien bezawaryjnosci wiec czasem mam watpliwosci. Co do ak550, tmax czy teraz wychodzi forsa750 to ceny maja jak motocykl wiec dla mnie odpada

The T-Max remains the better scooter. But the Xciting definitely beats the X-Max. He is faster, taller and looks much sportier.
But you do not notice that in this boring video ...
