@@leotheliongamesI didn't know about the Tim Burton Batman film. So one time my parents were watching a channel that has Spanish dubs of films, I heard the music that plays when you do the level "You can Bank on Batman". I asked myself "Is that Lego Batman?". So I went to see it was Batman (1989) It was in the scene in Axis Chemicals during the shootout. You can bet how excited I was about learning there was a Batman movie that had similar music to Lego Batman. Now I own that film, Batman Returns and the other two Batman films most people don't like on Blu Ray. Batman (1989) became my favorite film of all time.
Lego Batman, Star Wars Complete Saga, and Indiana Jones The Original Adventures are in my top 3 and I have such fond memories playing couch co-op with my brother. Great video and I loved the Batman voice lol
Man does this game bring me back. Every time I hear the Danny Elfman music I still refer to it as the lego Batman soundtrack. Also we all use to punch alfred off the platform right?
Amazing idea and video. Could you consider a Kevin Conroy tribute? Today marks 2nd anniversary of his death. He was the best voice of Batman. I made a tribute to him using the classic 90's toys with footage from Burton, Nolan, Arkham and Injustice but I don't got ur reach, and he deserves much bigger tribute.
Speaking of buzz light year, you should cover the toy story games because your appointment with me also please finish Lego lord of the rings since you already covered the other lord of the rings games! :-) Loved your acknowledgement of Night at the museum as well! :-)
I would love for you to continue on with Lego Batman 2 and 3. I played the first two games so much but was burned out on the third game. It just didn't excite me as much as the first two. I think because it was more a DC Universe game, than the rich dark feeling of the previous Lego Batman games.
Needless to say the villains part of the game would 100% be DLC these days. We honestly didnt know how good we had it, the other time I saw this back in the day was Kingdom Hearts chain of memories on the gba with the whole Riku side of the game
What a coincidence. I went to a 'Batman Unmasked' Exhibition in London yesterday which had various props and costumes from the Batman movies. It even had The Batmobile from 'The Batman'
This was actually the very first Lego videogame I ever played. I owned both the console and DS versions and loved them both. In fact, this game was actually my introduction to the character Harley Quinn, before Lego Batman I had never heard of Harley Quinn before. And now she's my favorite character in the DC universe.
This one is a classic, for sure. The "Batman Voice" was really funny, my favorite was "Not now Robin, I'm having fun". Maybe we can get a Lego Batman 2 video in the future?
The level concept was so simple but awesome. Every level a villian until the last has the boss. Then find out what lead to that lineup. I wish lego could remember the pros of simplicity sometimes.
Would love to see you compare the 6 Versions of Batman (1989) (Commodore 64, Nes, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, PC-Engine, & Arcade), & the 8 Versions of Batman Returns (Genesis, Game Gear, Sega CD, Atari Lynx, MS-DOS, Amiga 500, NES, & SNES). & if you want, you can talk about the games based on Batman Forever, Batman & Robin & The Dozens based on the Animated Series (from early 90s to mid 2000s).
I didn't even know this game existed until now- I think the first Lego Batman game I played had all the characters roaming one continuous city, rather than divide it up into three separate "movies" if you will. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for this one, see if I can play it some day.😊
I'd enjoy seeing you do coverage on the Probe Entertainment Batman Forever video game. It'll be turning 30 next year, along with the movie. It would also be really cool if you could get interviews with some of the team that worked on it.
I only got the DS version but it was good. It had a bit of a more serious tone I think but my favorite of the trilogy has to be Lego Batman 2. The open world and the ability to change characters on the fly? It was magical. Sadly Lego Batman 3 was a bit of a let down but I think it was reflecting the times to come for Lego Games
I haven’t really played this one yet. Its been in the Steam library for years but i didnt play it because i think it was lack of voice acting and just lego game formula is one you just need to be in the right mood for.
Love the suits/second half with villains content, easily best part to me. PSP I had. Only Lego I had on DS was Harry Potter others Batman/Pirates on PSP others on PS3/360/PS2. DS seems fair/Smartphones either they tried something different or were that weak wow. Gameplay matters to me so the double campaigns with the villains and the suits (big deal for me in gameplay is the use cases for them/items not just generic combat and movesets in other games) make it the best Lego games besides the fair mix of batman media (not a batman fan but I very much appreciate it, I do sometimes play licensed games to see how they are but I got this years ago even when not into batman and while I haven't expanded to the movies or tv show, even though have access to them to watch, I enjoyed the game)I think is cool ad never really knew. Easily best Lego game for sure. I could never get the villains side minikit in the theme park though I have the detection bonus but I don't know how to trigger the minikit. Or did I collect it? I can't remember but either way 98% is good enough.
2:10 I need to bring this up because I’ve never heard anyone talk about this. As a kid I had a PSP with Lego Batman and Lego Star Wars 2. Both games were nearly identical to the console version just with very minor changes. I’m not knowledgeable on every detail of the games but I know for Lego Star Wars 2 there was a different way to acquire the prequel characters. Does anyone know if there are any more differences between the PSP version and the Console version or if there are any other Lego games on the PSP that are identical to the console release?
Love this game and played it a lot on the PS2 with friends when I was a child and bought the PS3 version a while ago, but was it anyone else here who played the PS2 version and the F***ing snow gates on the Catwoman Penguin ice level was glitched so you hit one and slid right of so you couldn’t get the last minikit????
Is the first lego batman nice and simple? I find a lot of the later Lego games (post Harry Potter) way too visually cluttered and cluttered with features
I played the DS version a lot in my middle school years, and even though the console version has better presentation and more content, I prefer the game I grew up with. I mean, does the console version even feature a bossfight with Bane?
I guess you could argue Bane is a guinea pig for the experimental drugs pumping into his system to make him stronger. So...close enough to an animal 😂.
I don't know why but I found him saying penguins packing heat hilarious
☠️
Flandrews Batman voice is not something I thought I needed but am so glad to have ❤
I always loved that the game used the tim burton score for it's main theme
It cemented it as THE Batman theme for me growing up

The ds version just hits different 🔥
Playing local co-op on Lego batman DS was one of the best DS experience I can recall before the 3DS dropped
Lego Batman 1 is peak Batman media, a love letter to everything The Dark Knight stands for.
IMO, LEGO Batman 1 feels more like a love letter to 1990s Burton/Schumacher film series than Nolan's The Dark Knight.
Man does this game bring me back. Every time I hear the Danny Elfman music I still refer to it as the lego Batman soundtrack. Also we all use to punch alfred off the platform right?

Today marks 2 years ago.
Aw yes, the nostalgia is coming back to me.
Congrats on the sponsorship!! Get the bag 😎
"Not now Robin i'm having fun" XD XD XD
The DS version was my childhood.
Glad to see you with a sponser! It's nice after first seeing your Harry Potter game comparisons :D

I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM BATMAN!
02:02 to skip the ad for gamer powder
But then you don't get to hear the British pronunciation of the word 'vitamins'!
@signalzero77 as a Brit, he's definitely not British 😭
@@RobTFilms Whoops! Neither am I! Where does he sound like he's from, from your perspective?
Why? What if someone was interested? Jeez chill😂
@@RobTFilmsHe sounds English to me and his twitter says he's from the UK.
Been waiting on this for a while
I loved lego batman DS as a kid. Thank you for covering these!
Brickman and Nobin.

3:16 “the ability to pick up objects”
Um Batman that object is a person😂
I’m remember playing this game.
Why do you keep typing comments. Slow down
but which one? because there were four completely different versions released across 10 different platforms
Wow, this is nostalgic. I grew up playing the ps3 version AND the DS version. Seeing them again is certainly something.
If you’ve never played the DS version of the game I HIGHLY recommend it. ITS REALLY GOOD.
There is Also Lego Batman 2 and 3
& don't forget LEGO DC Super-Villains.
The Next Lego DC Game Will Be Lego Batman 4 Crisis One Infinite Earths
What a coincidence. I went to a 'Batman Unmasked' Exhibition in London yesterday which had various props and costumes from the Batman movies. It even had The Batmobile from 'The Batman'

the level of nostalgia that I had when I saw the DS game. It is the only device that I had played Lego Batman on when I was a kid
I owned the PSP and Wii versions growing up... I honestly didn't even know there *was* a PS2 version until a few weeks ago.
I grew up playing the PC version. I played it a lot with my older brother and we even worked together to get it to 100% complete.
I just beat lego indiana jones on my 3DS the other day and was about to start lego batman on DS, so your timing is perfect.

I can't wait to see you cover Lego Batman 2, it's one of my favorite Lego games ever
I grew up with the ds version and was the first LEGO game I beat so it has a special place in my heart
YES! Thank u for this review! Miss ur LEGO review series 🥺
I didn't even know this game existed until now- I think the first Lego Batman game I played had all the characters roaming one continuous city, rather than divide it up into three separate "movies" if you will. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for this one, see if I can play it some day.😊
I remember hiding under the covers late at night playing Lego Batman on my DS, the glory days.
Thanks for this video! I hope you cover Arkham Asylum next. It turned 15 years old this year.
Congrats on the sponsor Flandrew!
You’re Batman impression surprised me it was pretty good haha
I grew up playing the psp version and one thing i remember about that game was its incredibly slow loading time
Such a niche video again. Could you please also make videos for Lego Batman 2 and 3? Or Lego DC Supervillains?
He can't really do Lego DC Super Villains since there's only the console version.
He also included the Skywalker Saga into his videos and there is just a console version too.
This Batman video game is like a hodge podge of everything Batman made before the 2010’s. Yet it was a glorious fun Lego game!
This is why i love Lego games.
So much fun, enjoyable, entertaining, creative, imaginative, and hilarious.
10:22 For anyone curios as to what that house symbol does, it takes you to Wayne manor. I forgot what you can do in there, but it's pretty cool.
All you can really do in there is walk around, destroy everything for studs and even look at a portrait of the Lego versions of Bruce and his parents.
6:08 Feathers mcgraw called He wants as guns back
8:28
I thought Ben Stiller was holding a lightsabre for a moment there.
Love the original Lego Batman, one of my most favourite Lego games. 👍🏻
I'd enjoy seeing you do coverage on the Probe Entertainment Batman Forever video game. It'll be turning 30 next year, along with the movie. It would also be really cool if you could get interviews with some of the team that worked on it.
The ds version of lego batman i played to death i can still remember getting this game for Christmas when new.
9:19 yes!! there's my request!!

I remember playing this on Wii as a kid it was actually kinda fun this was my first Wii game I ever played this and Wii sports
Do Kevin Conroy in the Batman games.
I love this video. Great video as always. 💙
Maybe you should compare every version of Piglets Big Game, lol. 😂
I haven’t really played this one yet. Its been in the Steam library for years but i didnt play it because i think it was lack of voice acting and just lego game formula is one you just need to be in the right mood for.
God I wish my 360 copy of this game still worked. So many memories😔😪...
I had this game on the Nintendo DS i still love it
Oh yes the adventures of Bruce and robert (Robert is a bit special but he's alright)[eyezar reference]
Memories for the Wii/Xbox 360 and DS versions
I remember there being an early iOS version as well in which you would play mini games. Does anybody else remember this one?
It’s called Lego Batman Gotham city game
You could argue that Bane is animal themed due to his venom
THIS GAME WAS MY CHILD HOOD 😭😭😭😭

I could never get the villains side minikit in the theme park though I have the detection bonus but I don't know how to trigger the minikit. Or did I collect it? I can't remember but either way 98% is good enough.
Lego, Batman. The video game is one of the best lego games of all time I wish it had a remaster
I reviewed the Wii version of this game yesterday. It's pretty fun!
Still have my PS2 Copy

I had the Wii version, but, I've also played the 3DS version.
You should do the shrek games. Lots of console exclusive versions and spin offs that are the same.
I actually got Lego Batman with Pure when I bought the xbox 360 "slim" .... so yes, I finished
XD
Can you cover the Bionicle games in the future?
That sponsor was really bad, I first thought it was a joke
Best video so far
At this point you might as well cover the rest of the Lego Batman games.
If you do the Arkham games, can you do it in the same style as your Budokai videos?
I'd love to see the Lego Marvel Superheroes games compared!
Waiting for other Lego DC games
I’m currently replaying it on my iPhone via the psp version
Haven't played these yet but i did just but them so that'll be fun
Lego Batman is arguably the greatest Lego video game ever made.
i think of several others that are better
Lego Racers, please!
The best lego batman game ever
LEGO POTC next ❤
Lego batman 2 next
Is the first lego batman nice and simple? I find a lot of the later Lego games (post Harry Potter) way too visually cluttered and cluttered with features

please do lego lord of the rings i hate they wont release it again its such a great game to interduce voice acting
I guess you could argue Bane is a guinea pig for the experimental drugs pumping into his system to make him stronger.
So...close enough to an animal 😂.
