It's lovely to see the little things people remember and cherish of their holiday, this for example, even though i have never taken this transportation in the airport, i can understand why people cherish the memory.. its lovely :-)
Now this really takes me back alright! four times I've been on holiday to florida & Orlando now in '91, '95, '00 & '01, the 1st 2 times through here @ MCO, the first time @ Terminal 4 (DL/BA/VS) on a Britannia 767 charter from LTN, the 2nd time on Monarch 757 from LTN again (that time @ Terminal , both times via BGR; flying from what I used to call a 'shoe box' of an airport (back then it was!) namely Luton (prefixed London nowadays, and bigger & better as well) I found MCO an amazing airport
I remember the first minute I stepped off the plane in Orlando. I couldn't get over how humid it was there compared to where I live up in Alberta, Canada. XD I really do miss it.
Today! Im leaving Orlando to move to Dubai and I am going on that train, and I been enjoying that since I was a little kid :). I will say goodbye to my life in orlando and now I will build on it in Dubai! Cheers!
My dad always drove down, And for my daughter we still do, But I will admit the 2 times we have flown I must admit that is one damned impressive air port! :)
@iwatchfunny what luggage conveyor? If you are talking about the area in the middle of the two tracks, that is an evacuation walkway baggage is brought by the little truck.
In an emergency, NASA's Space Shuttle Orbiter can land at Orlando International Airport. Imagine one day if the astronauts do land at Orlando International Airport, you will probably see them riding on this monorail to the main terminal so they can claim their bags arriving from the International Space Station!
I love this thing when I am just arriving but hate it when I am about to go home.
