When circumstances force a young woman to serve an unjust prison term, she emerges a cynical criminal who rises to power in the criminal underworld. Also known as "Paper Bullets."
Outstanding movie... the heisting in the movie is now done by our politicians on both sides as we enter into 2023 Sad ---- Fabulous movie. Alan Ladd's son just died as well. They were incredible. Ladds best movie was Shane. Thank you for all these classics
Everything does not depend on politics. 1941 the Japanese attacked and most of the world was in broiled in the worse disaster every perpetrate by men.
@@christenasmalls6118EMBROILED
True. They took out the mob and now run their operation.
@@christenasmalls6118 the world's worse disaster was conjob 19
If she had only become a politician she would never have to worry about getting arrested.
So where did they hide Alan Ladd ?.
Yeah
LOL.
Original title- 1941 Paper Bullets.....
That was a great movie ending and all and l really appreciated it lots of content and quite entertaining these are the things i look for movies thanks much for posting

I got a little confused at the end of this movie. Although I realized the outcome. Too many twists for me, but I did like it. Also seeing Alan Ladd.....what is he doing not wearing his cowboy outfit ? for me, he will ALWAYS BE SHANE!
Great movie thank you
Loved Alan Ladd when I was a young lad back in the forties. I still do which is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to see his old black and white movies again. England, December, 2023.
Alan Ladd, an icon and very dear person to my heart!
Goodbye Shane!
Yes, he will ALWAYS be Shane to me. I think that was the greatest western ever made!
Some of these actors and actresses had GREAT voices!
Great movie.
this was originally called PAPER BULLETS,but after alan ladd became a top star in the 1942-47 period, they re-released it as GANGS .INC.giving ladd top billing when in the original film he was mostly a sorta bit part and never even top billed
Not seen much of Joan's work, but liked her. I also enjoyed seeing Ladd before stardom.
Thankyou for posting I hadn't seen this with Alan Ladd. I really enjoyed it.
THIS WAS PRE PARAMOUNT DAYS FOR ALAN...THE MOVIE WAS MADE ON THE CHEAP LIKE MONAGRAM..AND IT SHOWS...
The iron mistress
this was originally called PAPER BULLETS 1941,but after ladd became a star in THIS GUN FOR HIRE 1942,this was re-released called GANGS,INC. with ladd now top billed but considered a supporting bit.
Thanks, I was wondering why his name appeared so large in the credits, when he clearly had a supporting role (though he was great in it).
They also issued new posters with his image dominant, replacing LaRue and Woodbury who were on the originals.
thanks for the google. we couldnt of done it without you
this is called Paper Bullets? well then, i wont watch that one, because there is one by that name also.
i beleive Alan Ladd must have been hiding under a rock in most of this Movie.
well he was too busy defending the farm out in Wyoming! Beautiful country out there , Shane was fantastic
@@kystars Shane was "Ace".
"Harold, if this will make a man of you, I'll assume all responsibility." Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Linda Ware was only 16 years old when she made this film, her second and last. She was mainly a singer on radio and in concerts.
Thanks. I was surprised to see the negative comments below.
The ending was abrupt for sure but the quality of the caste and performances was very good.
Joan's ability to be completely wholesome, turn vengeful but moderated by her conscience and back to wholesome was more than admirable.
She also was accepting her sentencing.
And the childhood romance held strong in the end.
Pretty nice.
Criticizing the movie isn't criticizing the person who uploads it. I really appreciate those who upload these freebies and have seen some very good flicks; flicks that I never even heard of and I wonder WHY!?!
Hey it was even safe to hitch hick in those days LOL . Thank you very much for this one and MENY other great old classics ,thank pizza Flixs for keeping these old classic alive
I hitchhiked around the country in the 70's and 80's with no problem, LAY.
I was waiting for Alan Ladd to show up...
Thanks , another classic...
It seems anachronistic for 1941, like a 30's movie, more theatrical than cinematographic, but thanks all the same, can't beat the price.
Thanks PizzaFlix great movie.
Telefonitis, that word should be resurrected
The original title made more sense - _Paper. Bullets_ aka Votes. Why they changed the title before re-releasing it I haven’t discovered.
Payphones ... 😂
Women movie !
This movie lists Alan Ladd as the star? He hardly had 3 minutes worth of time in the film?
@7:53 Buttermilk. My god, I forgot that generation loved their buttermilk. Ooof! 🤢
1941-2022. 81 years ago.
LOL. Just like me. I will be 81 in NOV.
I knew this was going to be a good movie when I saw that it was approved with certificate #7347.🙄
Thank you for sharing! :-)
B: movie! That was the reason, it was never Shawn on regular tv! I , liked Alan Ladd! I’m surprised he took this movie ! It was kind of silly! / Now Shane -is a, Classic movie!
Who is Shawn?🤔
I love this thing. Pizza!
Rita has all the luck; dad was a jailbird, boyfriend is a lush & she can't get a job. Her willingness to take the wrap for Harold-the-loser is so implausible, unless the writer really hated women.
What about her willingness to jack a poker game, rob a night club, and then pull a brokerage heist for 60 G's?! The crazy bitch is a straight-up hoodlum!
Not all of us had a “Leave it to Beaver “ child hood.
She definitely had a hard knocks child hood no fault of her own. And fell prey to a player and scum. Then made some bad choices.
It could and does happen to alot of people when they feel up against the wall.
RAP
Can anyone be that gullible?
Yes. Those who think Biden is doing a good job.🤮
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽⭐️⭐️💜💛💚⭐️⭐️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Reading what this movie is about Sounds like a modern movie called "Shot Caller," anyone else thought the same? However, watching the movie, its more like a movie I once saw called "Bad Girls." Amywas, I think this movie is good! I give it Two (2) 👍up!!
Good movie about bad morals that resulted in indictment and prosecution and conviction with sentencing! Ron PTL USA
From England,, well well ,,,, history repeating is self
It was ok for a cold rainy afternoon. I’m not going to hate on this. I knew going into it, not to expect A list actors at their prime or an exceptional plot. It was free and no commercials.
Better than some of the current stuff out there.
Chance to see 40’s cars and fashion.
Drive-by.
Could have ended better so crime don't pay and. Fair load you would think this is Perry m.
So, where is Alan Ladd ?.
Bill Dugan = Allen Ladd lol
Put yourself gov lock down

Alan Ladd was about 5' 4" short😅😂
Easily forgettable film noir. At least it's short and free to watch
forgettable comment.
Someone had to be sick to go through an to make this flick . Promised to kill ahh to marry this nut . Crazy nutty movie . She does the whole bid . No pay off . But no body believes she did the hit an run . But she now has to face how she should live out her life i did see this an how she was turned into a mean spiteful lady . All to say how crime pays . 1941 still the show must go on . Sad stuff Alan Ladd
