can i have your advice on this, i’m sure you’ve been in a couple MB’s, I got put in front ensemble because i didn’t do my schools band camp. i started on xylophone for the fall, and this upcoming indoor season im doing vibraphone. i really really want to do drumline, specifically snare, but i’ll take anything really. i can’t play pit music that well; sure i can play most of it but the times i can’t i just stand there and stuff. i’m kind of at a crossroads path right now. what do i do? this is my first year
Practice your fundamentals, and if you want to drumline/snare, show your director/teacher that your dedicated to the program by knowing your music and playing it well. set small goals that lead to bigger ones.
On steveweissmusic.com they have tons of percussion products on their website. The marimba i have is “DeMorrow 5 octave Padouk Practice Marimba” which was 3.4k. Its cheaper since it doesn’t come with resonators. The sound quality for the price is amazing. There are other options on their site too
Hey can I get your advice on getting pieces fast? When I say fast, I mean Flight of the Bumblebee (no joke)… it’s a xylophone duet with my percussion teacher for a performance and I’m struggling on getting it fast and accurate. Thankfully it’s a lot of chromatic scales though and I’ll be using 2 mallets 😅 PS: you gained a sub
who's gonna talk about that CLEAN implament change at the end
Thank you
I could never. Very well done
Thank you!
My brother plays pit, I'm pretty sure he'd want to play things like this. Good job, man.
Thanks man
This was posted on my BIRTHDAY
I thought the first few chords sounded like the beginning of Despacito and now I can’t unhear it
That mallet change is crazy tho.
Yeahh lmaoo, sixteen note run right after that 💀

Hey, the arrangement look really nice, where can I find the score?
This arrangement was from my school’s marching band show, then my percussion directors edited the music, i think you have to buy the show
Where did you get a marimba at an affordable price 😭😭😭

Thank you, id say break the piece into smaller chunks then repeat them at a slower comfortable tempo and then work it up
@@DavidThePercussionistI’m working on a tough xylo part for my college’s wind ensemble, and I’m practicing it exactly like how you’re saying to do it
At first I thought he was going to play Lose Yourself by Eminem
im a beginner who still plays with 2 mallets but this is really cool and i wanna try and play with 4 sometime
Go for it, never give up, and always practice!
good job!
