This just goes to show you don’t need to spend a fortune to look great I would never pay what some of these influencers pay The drugstore is great They hsve stepped up there game
Bless your heart Marnie. Finding all those dupes & applying side by side had to take a lot of time and effort. You are absolutely the Best! You did a fabulous job! It was fun & also relaxing to watch, not that I can ever duplicate as pretty a look but I keep watching & trying, lol. Thanks again 😘
When I travel, I take a small tin of Nivea as my night cream! I have used it all my life (my Mum used it on me as a baby) and always have a tin on hand. I find it too rich for daytime use, but it works very well at night!
Love your dupes Marnie, I’ve enjoyed some of your finds in the past and I often wear similar shades. And I appreciate honesty about the difference in performance. I’m 65 and there are some drugstore items that I adore because they outperform high end and some that I’d rather pay more for and get the performance that helps me just a bit more. L’Oréal Lash Paradise mascara, LE Signature eyeliner, Lumi Bronze It, WetNWild’s Brûlée single eye shadow and Milani Eye primer plus Maybelline’s Lip Ink Crayon in Lead The Way and their Lifter glosses. Those are worth their weight in gold! Some of those I have you to thank for. High end for me are usually foundation, concealer and setting powder and eyeshadow although the next time I am in the States that Number 7 powder is one I plan to pick up.
Marnie this is maybe one of your top keeper videos. I look for drugstore brand items first. Since there are so many brands, it is great to actually see which ones work. Thank you Ruby
Hi enjoyed the video I’ve been using Niva for years & when I was small I used to pinch my dads I agree with you I only buy high end if it’s better as I do love 💕 high end products 🌷🥀🌻🌺🌼🌸🌹🌺🌼🌸
This was so interesting. Thank you for doing it. I love luxury makeup, but there's a lot of good drugstore makeup. Luxury isn't always feasible for me, so it's nice to know about dupes and almost dupes. xo~linda
I honestly have used both high end and drugstore all my life. I'm in my late 50s now and I think drugstore has upped their game alot now. I buy Lancome sometimes but actually find drugstore products just as good if not better. I also use drugstore skin care. The best drugstore mascara is Lash Paradise. I bought Lancome Idole and it was not good at all. Threw it out. Bought drugstore again and 20 bucks cheaper. I have used Makeup Revolution Conceal and Hydrate foundation for 4 years now. Better than high end brands to me and 12.00 /bottle. Milani blush is the best too.
Yesterday it was snowing here🙄, so I re-organized my makeup and I found green shimmer eyeshadow! It feels good to clean out all the junk (then I went to Ulta and got the IT cc foundation and the brush, wore it out Saturday night and I liked it)
Hi Marnie, The Physicians Formula side looks really similar to the higher end side. The only real difference I see is the mascara, the higher end side is richer. I guessed the Physicians Formula side in the beginning, even though the mascara looked richer on the other side. Enjoyed the dupe video. Kindness and happiness, Teresa
I love dupe videos is good to see some alternative for high end makeup and skincare even though I agree I do invest in my skin care for sure …. Love your videos
I do like higher end products like foundation lipstick , and eyeshadow. But..drugstore has grown so much in quality...I bought a Chanel loose powder..but actually preferred my Maybelline fit me loose powder more.
Right? So shocking! I have clea de peau, charlotte tilbury, hourglass, Nars concealers… for the last 2 months, nothing compares to my elf hydrating camo. It’s all I’ve been using
Love the video and appreciate your honesty. I personally do not have a budget for the high end products but if you do, go for it and enjoy. Both sides look great and it sure helps having the names of products you recommend when I go to purchase.
Only difference I see one side being deeper pigment that being the more expensive side , but both look awesome. I also think splurge on high end cosmetics is worth it .
Hi Marnie, When I first started watching your video I couldn't tell which side was luxury and which was drugstore. They both looked really pretty on you. The Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift is very hard to dupe. The closest dupe (and it's not an exact dupe) I have found for it is the Clinique Airbrush Concealer in the shade Fair. The Trish McEvoy one is a little pinker/darker than the Clinique Airbrush, but when I put them on I can't tell which is which. I enjoy both products. The Clinique is $24 and the Trish McEvoy is $46. Putting together a dupe video takes a lot of time and you did a fantastic job! Thanks so much for posting this video. I hope you have a wonderful week! xoxo, Karen
The reason I find the Trish McEvoy hard to replicate is not just the color but the texture. It's thin but not drying. The Clinique is a much thicker product.
Thank you for this video! I love IT cosmetics foundations and have been using for 10 years, plus a big fan of Estee Lauder eye cream, however have been enjoying drug store brands even more this last year.
My brother lives in San Antonio! I miss HEB from when I lived in Austin. I would love to meet you my next visit out there:) I do love my supergoop glow screen too. I may try the LaRosche-Pasay this year bc it has an spf of 100!
Thanks for great vid. Love both dupes and your GRWM’s 😘 The best dupe for Gucci 1 bronzer is also from Laura Geller (shade Fair). Heard it from Jen Phelps Channel, and love it. It’s also fragrance and cruelty free 🧡.
@@MsGoldgirl Me too, girl, me too 😘 Which powder foundation from LG you love? Maybe my dry, sensitive skin would like it too, only have blushes & bronzer from her so far.
The le mer foundation really looks amazing! And same with the cle de peau concealer! I’m interested in the elf face powder - elf has some amazing products! Essence makes a face powder that mimicks hourglass really well as well ;)
The only one that came close was from Nars, so that's not much of a savings. I haven't really tried many cream bronzers other than those two, and none from the drugstore.
Thank you and I’m sorry, I meant the brush that you used for the highlighter 🙄 I have the setting one from RT based on your recommendation and I agree, it is great.
Love these dupes. I am trying so hard to find lol gloss that does not decide to gloss my entire face. 😂 I think it’s ages because my lip products are NOT applying and staying as they used to. :( Even with lip liner. Anywho..HAPPY EARLY BDAY! Just in case I forget. :) Mine is coming up in a couple of weeks as well.
I enjoy hearing your thoughts on how we spend our money. Could you do a follow up to this video and state from the high-end to the dupe products, which 1 you would prefer and would repurchase.
🌸🌸🌸 Hey sweetie, not sure where my initial comment went …. BUT you said the Supergoop and the Kroger didn’t have any thing in common BUT to me, the ingredients are practically EXACT
Happy Birthday Marnie.Hope u have a great day.I am the same age as u are born on the 7th of March.love love ur channel and all good content. Stay safe and God Bless🙂👍
I called it, the left side just looked a bit nicer. I use both high and low, just love makeup. How sad you have to worry about triggering people, especially in a makeup video. 🤦♀️

You found excellent dupes! I 100% agree with you that there are definitely products worth the splurge for high end.
Definitely!!

The luxury side definitely looks best in this case!
Quite similar looks! Drugstore is my preference based on my budget and frankly it provides the same look. Thanks for the comparison !

Loved this video, Marnie! You did great! It was as professional as ever!🌸
Glad you liked it!!
I like the luxury side better but understand the price point is way different. Very informative video. Happy Sunday!

Both sides look spectacular. I have tried so many mascaras and primers and I always come back to Lancôme. It’s worth the money to me. 💰
Great video. I am very particular / critical on makeup and must admit the DS side looks almost identical to the HE side. DS all the way!
Only difference I see one side being deeper pigment that being the more expensive side , but both look awesome. I also think splurge on high end cosmetics is worth it .

Eyelash primer, you need to try Loreal Voluminous Base, it is now my favorite of all primers I've ever used, including Lancome!
I've tried that before and I think it's the same as the Lancome and so much cheaper.
Thanks for great vid. Love both dupes and your GRWM’s 😘

Ooh! I’m really getting into Laura Geller products. Thanks for the tip!

Which powder foundation from LG you love?

Pretty sure it's called the Double Take Foundation.

Hi Marnie, I noticed you don’t wear eyeliner anymore. What are your thoughts/ reasons for that ? I have trouble with eyeliner.
Nice video!! Marnie any dupes for Chanel cream bronzer?
The only one that came close was from Nars, so that's not much of a savings. I haven't really tried many cream bronzers other than those two, and none from the drugstore.
@@MsGoldgirl thank you ❤️do you recommend the Chanel cream bronzer? Original color?
Very good dupe video! Thank you! What brush did you use for setting your under eye area?
The Real Techniques setting brush (at least II assume I did because that’s the one I use every day).
Thank you and I’m sorry, I meant the brush that you used for the highlighter 🙄 I have the setting one from RT based on your recommendation and I agree, it is great.
I'd have to go back and rewatch it but it's likely this one from Sigma: bit.ly/3wE5KGz
@@MsGoldgirl thank you so very much!❤️

Thanks Quincey! Maybe try a lip stain instead of a gloss? Or…very gently blot?
The L'Oreal Lash Paradise primer is much closer, since they are both from the same parent company! Great video!🥰
I think so too, but so many articles are saying the Essence is a dupe. I just don't see it!
@@MsGoldgirl I haven't tried it, but I love their mascara in the black and purple tube!
I thought the luxury side blended out better!
Call me crazy, but from the getgo (before I knew which side was which), I decided I liked the drug store side better :) Love dupe videos!!
I enjoy hearing your thoughts on how we spend our money. Could you do a follow up to this video and state from the high-end to the dupe products, which 1 you would prefer and would repurchase.

I hsve the physicians formula one and I do like it It’s not bad I line the NYX also I’m
I have no problem with the PF one
I still enjoy the Physicians Formula foundation...my Walmart just removed them from the shelf, bummer...🌞
Oh no!
thanks for vid pretty lady. be safe
Which Real Techniques brush did you use with the powder to set your under eye please?
The setting brush!
I adore the PF foundation but it is officially discontinued according to website reviews.
I know. But so many of us already have it! And it’s still on a lot of shelves at Walmart!
Happy Birthday Marnie.Hope u have a great day.I am the same age as u are born on the 7th of March.love love ur channel and all good content. Stay safe and God Bless🙂👍
no primer?
I rather spend more money for skincare and foundation. Although I feel that higher end eyeshadow and lipgloss are worth the splurge
I can’t tell the difference at all I can see she prefers luxury But I’m sorry the drugstore is just as good
That's not entirely true. Some products I prefer luxury, sometimes the drugstore is better. It really is a case by case basis.
💚🥰💚
It is a waste of money to me to buy highdnd
I called it, the left side just looked a bit nicer. I use both high and low, just love makeup. How sad you have to worry about triggering people, especially in a makeup video. 🤦♀️
Dupes????? . But not really, a lot of these products were not dupes, but you look back anyway . 💄
I would have to disagree.
