You had me at bead stash. Ohhh I hope you do make your own tweed. I thought of that too. that would be so fun!!! I also thought the Linton tweeds are not always in colors that are good for my skin tone (Olive) so I thought of adding threads maybe in my colors!!! You are so talented!!! I'm always amazed!!!
I definitely want to make my own tweed but I know it will take ages and I'll need so much room. I guess I could make the tweed in sections and on frames. Then I could pack them away sometimes. I love the idea of weaving extra threads into a tweed. That could be so unique and beautiful.
I like natural fibres but use poly thread, two strands, because it lasts longer and is stronger. I have a beading tutorial where I show how I did the beading on 11 of my jackets. ua-cam.com/video/hK-Zbc0P5OM/v-deo.html 🥰🎨
As I said, I've been collecting beads for decades. I'm just using up the ones I have now. Fabric stores have bead sections and most towns have specialty bead stores. There's also online.
I love a bead haul! So much fun looking through your lovely collection of beads. They’re all so beautiful! 📿🎨🧥💖🌸
Thank you so much. It is fun to look through them. I hope you have a fabulous New Year! 🥰🎨✨🌸💚
So inspired to organize my beads. Thank you!
It does take a lot of time but it's so much fun looking at them all. Best of luck with your collection. 🥰✨🎨💚

What thread are you using for beading on your tweeds and your cottons?
