All I got from your comment is that you're human & your taste in music is awesome..not something to be embarrassed abt, I think :) I hope you're doing well now
I was at Columbia University that year when it came out it was Mayday Parade communist socialist I was neither and I always Associated this song with social communism and I loved it
I was 27 and all the young kids at Columbia U was celebrating communist May Day trying to get us to join they play this song all the time I loved it I still do I'm not a communist
Apesar da maioria das pessoas colocarem Badmotorfinger ou Superunknown como os melhores da banda, eu tendo a escolher esse como a maior obra-prima. Lindo.
A singular song that DEFINES melancholy while itself being undefinable, showing---with the rest of this album---just how far away from grunge this band had become.
I'm embarrassed to say but I cry everytime I hear this song. I listened to it alot during a tumultuous time in my life. I love this song
Never be embarrassed to say you love Soundgarden!
Nothing to be embarrassed of. Me too!

Cast away that embarrassment! U are in fine company💜
There's a lot of songs on this album that did that before he died. Hang it up now.
amazing. .... criminal not more people know or maybe even understand how beautiful this is
their albums just kept getting better
COMPLETELY UNDER-RATED.
I would say superunknoen and badmotorfinger are better imho
Such a fucking amazing musician/human being. Most grunge heads had Nirvana. I had Soundgarden. Miss him, his music was always so close to my heart.
Spashaei he will be missed😢
all kurt cobain layne staley scot weilland and chris cornell will be missed. I hope eddie vedder doesn't leave us any time soon
Me too! 💔 miss him forever ♾ 🤍🕊
@@AZIZAxBLUE is that really you in that picture
This song needs to be heard...one of my favorites
can't stop crying. Already miss you Chris. RIP
"Nothing is when everything is all right
Switch is on..."
One of my favorites off down on the upside. I wish it was played live!
This song is sad and beautiful and epic. The end of the band as we knew them was over, and you can hear it in this incredible song.
My favourite song from Down on the Upside :)
brilliant song
Most beautiful introduction for any sg song
listen with headphones
Doing it right now, amazing!
"That's perfect!"

Sounds like something a communist would say

Tamo junto cara! Essa música em especial é maravilhosa!
I know the word underrated has become overrated but this album has always been well... underrated.
Ben and bass this song beautiful
chris cornell rip
I always thought this was a very underrated album.
I love how the guitar in the intro sounds almost like a sitar.
Should have been the last single. Would have been a huge fucking hit.
wish u had the lyrics i tend to get lyrics wrong and this song slurs so its one of them i get wrong. amazing album tho. best of the 90's
capolavoro
We need s Soundgarden tribute
Sick Badass Fucking Song

Because they were never 'grunge'. Grunge was an industry term put upon them.
@@spicyspecial333 yeah they were
By far the best song on the album
What makes this better than the othr songs on the album?
I agree. This is the most memorable song on the album. It's just so well composed.
Lay your children on their thrown switch is on
it opens
More please.
Slaves can't be held down anymore? Time travel? Paradigm shift?
Thoughts?
The intro sounds like Heart-shaped Box
I cry when i hear it too..dunno why.
It's a beautiful song.

The chorus in this song takes me back to the early proto-grunge of groups like Screaming Trees and early 80’s college rock like R.E.M.
This song was written by Ben I think...most of it
he wrote the music, Chris wrote the lyrics
@thebystander Ya, what's with the low views? I don't get it at all.
