Finally someone who isnt mindlessly bashing this film just because it’s not another Del Toro Hellboy film. Yes it’s quite low budget but they really did the best they could with what they were working with. Jack Kesy is just as good as Ron in as Hellboy imo. He did a fantastic job. The film is definitely a love letter to the people who are fans of the comics. I can understand that the general audience won’t feel as connected with this tho. I personally really enjoyed it. Crooked Man’s make up was phenomenal
FYI: Despite having played in Belgium, had a limited release in the UK and at a couple of film festivals, there is no theatrical run planned for North America, according to the film's producers. It's going straight to digital VOD sales / rentals and from there to streaming after those wind down. No info yet about physical media either as of this writing... Release date for VOD is October 7th.
I can see why they released it to digital instead of theaters. It wasn’t marketed well and there is no way it would be able to compete with Joker and Venom. It would’ve just ended up like Transformers One.
@@Jones183 saw it in some parts it's pretty weird I mainly noticed at the beginning with the spider but after that it's pretty good the make up I enjoyed the movie. Jack Kesy felt like Hellboy straight from the comics he's great. He may be my favorite Hellboy

I think this is a great start to a proper cinematic HELLBOY universe.
It deserves a sequel. This is exactly what hellboy needed.
I watched the movie and to be honest i like it
I hope we get a sequel
I really hope a show or more movies come from it!
