This is actually the fifth time this year the northern lights have been seen in the lower 48 as far south as Florida. Good chance they can be seen again tonight and possibly a few days. This is thanks to seven flares, not a big one. That coupled with the weakening magnetosphere is causing much above normal storms. Much more to come in the near future likely. Don't tell anyone though, it's a big secret ya know.
