Hey Adam I forgot to tell you, if you go to the children's museum in Indianapolis. There's a huge exhibit that's been there as long as I can remember about Ryan White. They have a mock set up of his room, but they have all the actual toys and things that were actually his in the exhibit. Maybe something to check out?

The song had been written and performed by others before Jackson's version. But a very nice song. And Jackson sang it after Bill Clinton was sworn into office. Interestingly enough Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas when the state prison system was taking HIV and Hepatitis C tainted blood. It was these blood products that caused many hemophiliacs to be infected.

What Ryan White was put through in his short life was just terrible. He did nothing wrong and was persecuted by so many. +ShishkaBerry good thinking but when it comes to the biggest/historic funerals, Elton just seems to always be the automatic choice that Billy Joel falls short of possible solutions to the issue.
I am starting to think maybe the correct answer is Jesus H. Christ himself or the only other obvious/logical/worthy option out there left............David Hasselhoff!

I love your intro's Adam. 💖 Wow, Ryan White...I was around 11 years old when all of that happened. Another moment in history where things were misunderstood. Where fear caused so much confusion in a community and heartache for the family. All of this happening during a time when they needed love and support the most. It's hard to believe looking back on it now. I would like to think we've come a long way since then. Great vlog and a reminder to support and love one another. 😊💖😊

Adamthewoo, you are wrong about the final place where Ryan White moved to. He moved to a town south of Kokomo called Cicero Indiana. I done a story on Ryan before he passed away. I met his mom Jeanne who is a sweetheart and his sister Andrea White. They were an awesome family. You need to go to the Cemetery in Cicero Indiana where Ryan Whites final resting place is. He is buried across the lake where he lived. I cannot tell you the address on here for safety and private reasons. But his resting place is across a beautiful lake and also he has a large memorial marker as well. Yes Jeanne finally got married and moved on with her life. she is marvelous. Ryan was a great kid. I am so proud to have met him and I also was proud to have met all the Celebrities at his huge funeral held at the biggest church they could find just north of Indianapolis. The day I got to interview him which was when they just moved to Cicero, Michael Jackson was there as was Elton John. I was pleased to have met them both. Michael had bought Ryan a beautiful red mustang. Elton began the huge Aids awareness charity. At his funeral which I still have the Funeral Program, I met the first lady Bush, Phil Donahue, Lukas Haas, Judith Light, Elton John, Michael and Janet Jackson and many others to note as well. It was so beautiful of a funeral. Elton sang Skyline Pigeon during the funeral which was very nice. After the funeral, the procession went back North to Cicero and buried Ryan where he overlooks where he lived near a beautiful Lake. If you want Adam contact me and I will share more info with you and also show you his burial spot and the Church where it all took place. We can also visit the new High School where Ryan was welcomed with open arms even though he had the Aids virus. Obviously it wasn't contagious because I don't have the virus and I even gave Ryan a high five and even gave him a hug after we finished our interview.

Thanks for this video and educating viewers. Ryan White really was a catalyst in how the view of HIV/AIDS was seen. There was a foundation named are him, that went on to benefit many people who have been diagnosed with HIV.

Watching this video for the first time. Just have to clarify that Ryan White did not move anywhere near Illinois. They moved about 40 min south to Cicero, IN and lived there until his death. He is buried there.
Also, this video was created pre-Covid. Growing up, I couldn’t imagine people treating someone horribly with AIDS or reacting the way they did, but we have to remember there was little education then and it was a small town. Now, having gone through the Covid pandemic…we saw the world go crazy and attack and bully people for wearing/not wearing a mask or getting/not getting a vaccine. So looking back, if I were a parent, that could have been me reacting strongly and pulling my child out of school when he returned to school, out of fear of a disease I wasn’t sure about. But I’m done condoning the bullying and other crazy incidents that happened to them.
Thanks to Ryan’s story and his public fight to return to school, it gained national attention and he went around the state and country speaking about his experience and AIDS education.
The Power of Children, a permanent exhibit at The Children’s Museum in Indianapolis, is continuing to share his story to future generations of kids. It’s very cool to see Ryan’s bedroom, with all of his 80s toys. Highly recommend!

If you want to know anything, and I mean anything, about soy beans, just ask my father. He is probably the foremost expert on the subject. Doesn't sound very exciting, but you want to know anything about growing, cultivating, marketing and even production of soy, just ask.

Hey Adam, if you're ever in NC, I can show you some filming locations of the 1989 made for TV movie, The Ryan White Story(George C. Scott, Peter Scolari, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lukas Haas, Judith Light). My mom took me to see them filming a couple days, and got the chance to see Ryan and Lukas playing around the set!

It's pronounced "Roosh-uh-ville" not "Russia-ville". You should head to my hometown, Frankfort, Indiana (not far from there). There's not a ton to see and do there and I don't ever go there anymore (I live in Germany now), but we were the Frankfort Hot Dogs, which most people find amusing. A good portion of the movie Blue Chips was filmed there (and I know you love seeing filming locations), and Kyle Cook (from Matchbox 20 fame) is from there.

Crohn's here too.. On Asacol for the last 10 years. For me I just have to stay away from raw food. My body doesn't tolerate it at all. I handle wheat and diary perfectly just not a raw apple. I strictly only eat cooked, fried, nuked, boiled, pasteurized, or processed food. Hold the lettuce on my tacos please.

Those soybeans are NO WHERE Near ready for harvest. They will take on a Golden Brownish Hue when the are ready to be harvested. These plants are still YOUNG. I remember the day Ryan passed like it was yesterday. Us Hoosiers will ALWAYS remember Ryan and the way he was mistreated. WE didn't know much about AIDs back then, still no way to treat A HUMAN..

Talking about your intro, some liking it, some not lol
Ya just can't please everyone which is why you should do exactly what you want to do, how you want to do it, and when you want to do it lol
Everything is great with your vlogs, period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of people who have a good bit of land here, will plant soybeans just to get the farmers exempt on their taxes!!!!!
98% of soybeans are fed to animals!!!!
So sad about the way they treated Ryan White!!!!!
I love that Storybook building on the outside!!!!!!
Thanks for continuing to take us on your "very interesting" journey Adam!!!!!!!
    Have a great week!!!!

One of your best works yet, I remember the whole Ryan White saga, back in the 80's we were ignorant to AIDS , yes it was sad, we all learned at the expense of one child, again, very sad!!!

The early days of AIDS, scary crazy times. I remember Ryan. So horrible what he had to go through not only physically but also by the way he was treated by frightened ignorant people. Very heroic little boy. RIP Ryan White. Thanks Adam. Have a good day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Adam, will you please consider going up to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire during the fall? I desperately miss the autumn leaves (the potential drone shots of forests of changing leaves!) and there are so many weird roadside things- junk shops, maple-based food of every sort, etc.

Just relocated to Indiana from NJ, and live one town over from Cicero, which is where the White family was welcomed in school and community, and where Ryan was laid to rest. It wasn’t near Illinois, though. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis actually has his personal belongings in a room recreation.

The Ryan White story was incredibly sad. HIV and AIDS was misunderstood back then - and unfortunately those diagnosed still face much discrimination.
I wish you would have been able to catch the awesome sprint car race at kokomo last night. Saw some highlights online and it looked like a great one!

I enjoy your blogs Adam and have been following you for years, but I must admit, since you mentioned it, I find myself CRINGING every time you crush a water bottle at the intro!!!!
It would be cheaper for you you in the long run to buy a gallon of water just refill your water bottle and help the environment. I respect and admire you immensely Adam. In fact, I wish that I could quit my job and go on adventures like you! I am glad that you are drinking lots of water as it is important to keep hydrated, I am just wondering if you own a refillable water bottle? If so, it would be great to see you use it now and then.

It's actually pronounced ROO-sha-ville, LOL! There was a lot of fear and misunderstanding then. Ryan set a lot of precedents in his time.
