Hey Adam I forgot to tell you, if you go to the children's museum in Indianapolis. There's a huge exhibit that's been there as long as I can remember about Ryan White. They have a mock set up of his room, but they have all the actual toys and things that were actually his in the exhibit. Maybe something to check out?

Ryan's story truly shaped my life in ways unspoken. As a young girl, it became clear.. I'm on quest to understand & cure HIV/AIDS. Studying infectious diseases & helping those suffering from them became a true passion of mine. This vlog means a lot, thanks Adam.

There is no credible science to support these ludicrous assumptions. In Ryan's book Ryan White My Own Story he actually writes about the many "Miracle Cures" people tried to send him. Not to mention the faith healers and snake charmers.

What Ryan White was put through in his short life was just terrible. He did nothing wrong and was persecuted by so many. There was not a lot known about AIDS at that time but still, he didn't deserve to be treated that way. Very sad story resulting in his life ending at a very young age. Thanks Adam.

I love your intro's Adam. 💖 Wow, Ryan White...I was around 11 years old when all of that happened. Another moment in history where things were misunderstood. Where fear caused so much confusion in a community and heartache for the family. All of this happening during a time when they needed love and support the most. It's hard to believe looking back on it now. I would like to think we've come a long way since then. Great vlog and a reminder to support and love one another. 😊💖😊

The song had been written and performed by others before Jackson's version. But a very nice song. And Jackson sang it after Bill Clinton was sworn into office. Interestingly enough Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas when the state prison system was taking HIV and Hepatitis C tainted blood. It was these blood products that caused many hemophiliacs to be infected.

Adamthewoo, you are wrong about the final place where Ryan White moved to. He moved to a town south of Kokomo called Cicero Indiana. I done a story on Ryan before he passed away. I met his mom Jeanne who is a sweetheart and his sister Andrea White. They were an awesome family. You need to go to the Cemetery in Cicero Indiana where Ryan Whites final resting place is. He is buried across the lake where he lived. I cannot tell you the address on here for safety and private reasons. But his resting place is across a beautiful lake and also he has a large memorial marker as well. Yes Jeanne finally got married and moved on with her life. she is marvelous. Ryan was a great kid. I am so proud to have met him and I also was proud to have met all the Celebrities at his huge funeral held at the biggest church they could find just north of Indianapolis. The day I got to interview him which was when they just moved to Cicero, Michael Jackson was there as was Elton John. I was pleased to have met them both. Michael had bought Ryan a beautiful red mustang. Elton began the huge Aids awareness charity. At his funeral which I still have the Funeral Program, I met the first lady Bush, Phil Donahue, Lukas Haas, Judith Light, Elton John, Michael and Janet Jackson and many others to note as well. It was so beautiful of a funeral. Elton sang Skyline Pigeon during the funeral which was very nice. After the funeral, the procession went back North to Cicero and buried Ryan where he overlooks where he lived near a beautiful Lake. If you want Adam contact me and I will share more info with you and also show you his burial spot and the Church where it all took place. We can also visit the new High School where Ryan was welcomed with open arms even though he had the Aids virus. Obviously it wasn't contagious because I don't have the virus and I even gave Ryan a high five and even gave him a hug after we finished our interview.

WOW SIR VERY COOL. I was less then a mile away from him when he passed. I remember it like yesterday all of the controversy. Back then we JUST DIDN'T know as much as we do today. I remember watching an interview or story that was televised where he answered alot of questions about AIDS. Glad to hear you got to meet such an AWESOME Man Gone TO SOON, NEVER FORGOTTEN BY US HOOSIERS

I truly miss Ryan and always will each and everyday and never forget Jeannie or Andrea as well!! All beautiful Hoosier family!!! God Bless the White family......as I knew them back in the 80's.

+ShishkaBerry good thinking but when it comes to the biggest/historic funerals, Elton just seems to always be the automatic choice that Billy Joel falls short of possible solutions to the issue.
I am starting to think maybe the correct answer is Jesus H. Christ himself or the only other obvious/logical/worthy option out there left............David Hasselhoff!

You're even more sanctimonious than Adam. The kid, tragically, had Aids. Parents and students, who didn't know as much about the disease as we know today, were concerned that it could be transferred to them. Even today, a great enlightened and yet also religious person like yourself would likely not be overly keen to let your kid go out and ride bikes with the neighbour kid who has Aids.

It's not true. A great deal was actually known about AIDS at the time. There was a great deal of fear and panic among the general population, but this happens with all epidemics. It's not fair or reasonable. And the school administration and local citizens action group didn't seek a reasonable understanding of the disease and any perceived risks. Compare it to a similar case in Swansea, Massachusetts with Mark Hoyle. During the same time with the same laws and information about the disease the community rallied around Mark.

Just relocated to Indiana from NJ, and live one town over from Cicero, which is where the White family was welcomed in school and community, and where Ryan was laid to rest. It wasn’t near Illinois, though. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis actually has his personal belongings in a room recreation.

The soy beans look like they have flowers on them right now, so that means that the actual beans are on the way. When it's time for harvest, the bean plants will be a golden brown color.

Adam, will you please consider going up to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire during the fall? I desperately miss the autumn leaves (the potential drone shots of forests of changing leaves!) and there are so many weird roadside things- junk shops, maple-based food of every sort, etc.

Just keep being who you are, Adam. If people don't like you, they can go away.
I remember hearing about Ryan White when I was in elementary school. His story was in the Weekly Reader.

the small flowers you saw will become the bean pods. those plants have another month before the beans form. they will continue to grow and mature until the plants are brown and dry, which will be around late October or November. then they will be harvested.

Likely GMO, roundup resistant soya beans, erckkk. The only way you should consume soya is in its fermented state. Bad stuff altogether and now prevelent in so many food stuffs and much used in cattle fodder.

Thank you for the Ryan White part of the video. People need to stop and remember the boy who was treated so unfairly for something outside of his control. I was in my early teens when it happened and was so mad at the world for how they treated him.

I love you for this Adam. Seeing a kid my age have to face death from an illness, then the harassment and difficult fight just to attend school was very hard to watch. At 11 years old, I knew they were all wrong.

What a heart touching vlog today! Such a heart wrenching story.. I remember him as being courageous and brave in telling of his life and situations that he'd had to live through on television and of getting the message out about hiv. R.i.p Ryan White. And may he be getting good dance lessons from Michael Jackson in heaven!
