  • We discuss the common 4x4 5G Omni antenna options, and explain why two OMNI-402 antennas from Poynting Antennas might work better than a single OMNI-414 solution on a Teltonika RUTX50

I need help, i have a huawei b525s-65a and a NetgearM1, it disconnects many times in a day and I need to restart it each time, is there a way to make it reboot automaticallly like a smart plug socket or a device that ping each 5 seconds or any solution?

Not sure...there must we ways to resolve this, but this is the reason we don't always endorse consumer electronics :)

With the dual sim routers such as the rutx12 or rutx50 do the 4 antennas all go to both modems or is it 2 antennas to each modem/sim.

That's a good question, and it's different between modems.
On the RUTX12, two antennas are for one modem and two for the other modem (it's marked on the documentation). Each SIM goes with a modem.
On the RUTX50, all four antennas are used. They are used differently on different bands, but it's quite complex and switches between setups so impossible to pinpoint. The simplest is to just assume all four are used at the same time.

So which antenna setup will you recommend to use with the RUTX12 for maritime application ? thanks @@RFShop

@@GpconnectInfohotspot I would consider one of two scenarios (sorry, always have options). Keep it simple, and use a single 4x4 MIMO omni antenna such as the Poynting OMNI-414. One antenna, four cables...it's a simple and very good solution. Can also look at the MIMO-4 antennas that do the same job but for best gain I would stick with the OMNI range of antennas.
Alternatively, if you are willing to do something slightly more complicated and likely to be somewhat superior I would consider 2 antennas. 2pcs of the same OMNI-402...each antenna with two cables. One cable of one antenna to port 1 and the other to port 3. Then the one cable from the second antenna to port 2 and the other cable from antenna 2 to port 4. Then you'll have spatial diversity on both modems.
