Kamil Krolak, the Galway based filmmaker behind’ Fifty People, One Question’ and ‘Galway is also Happy’ is back with a new viral video project ‘Galway Bailando’. This time he has collaborated with Tai Chi and tango expert Niall O’ Floinn to celebrate Galway as a city of diverse identities and dance forms.
The ‘Galway Bailando’ 90 minute documentary was also released as part of this collaboration. It is the first documentary of its kind, filmed in various locations across Galway, both indoor and outdoor, and includes over 20 dance artists and schools. It features both world champion dancers and amateur’s with powerful and passionate performances on the city’s streets. For more see / 1547338908874041

Thanks for the support. No one got paid except for the director, camera guy and photographer which i paid, not the tourism board.The director also may get some money from youtube . All of us dancers gave our time, talent and resources voluntarily as we love dance so much.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! As a dancer with no dance partner, surrounded by people with no interest in dance, in a non-enthusiast dance community, this warms my heart so! It's videos like these that keep the passion alive, no matter how frustrated I may get. Super cool tho! Been a longtime since I've seen something different. Keep it up! Its a pity there is not a bit more of the indigenous Irish dancing: Ceili, set dancing, step dancing and sean-nos dancing are all practiced on a weekly basis by hundreds of people in Galway City.
