I have somewhat the same story with my son - decided not to go into motorcycle riding then, 8 years ago. Congrats my man, going to get this same bike for me too. Already payed reservation for it. on the phone holder - use something like Quadlock, because you Iphone camera will fall of inside because of vibrations.
Fantastic bike. I just purchased one myself. You seem like a very calm and considered guy. I got rid of the fender straight away, it does throw more debris up the back of you. I don’t ride in the rain, but if I did I could imagine that would be bad too. It looks way better without the big fender but maybe not as functional. I added the taller screen too as I’m in the winter season here in Australia. I’ll probably take it off in summer. Heated grips is the next addition, I’ve had them on every bike and to me it is the best item to add. Oxford heated grips are always easy to install especially on a naked bike. Same bike . And wasn't riding for a while. Still keeping in "C" now after 2 months of riding I am comfortable enough to switch to "B" low speeds it is very quiet. You must pay attention because people especially pedestrianns can't hear you coming . riding it faster it gets loud enough .
Ride Safe - The bike has a quick shifter, once in 1st gear you can just up & down shift on it with pulling in the clutch. Just remember to do so when coming to a full stop.
@@alivekicking6247 the 8r version is great also. Not having a windshield or fairings on the highway is at bit much when big trucks are around. So the 8r is a win in that department. I thought the 8s was a little more comfortable (handle bars) and I like the naked look. Both bikes are great.
@Supernatural_Choices yes, I think yours looks awesome. Very, very nice. I also think it looks better than the competitors in its class. You're lucky to have such a nice bike.

@@elekkr yes. I am going to do a review. The exhaust is too quiet. I plan to get a new exhaust.

Yes. I did. I think the 8r is a great bike. The 8r might be better on the highway with the fairings and windshield. But I like the naked look more.
I love the bike but I hate that phone mount. Had one on my bicycle and my phone would pop out when riding off curbs

Quad Lock with vibration damper is about the best you can get for motorcycles.
