Best song i ever heard in eurovision! Expression of all culture elements of the country are in it and then the live instruments.. each of them are on level max ! Singer sings without forcing her voice.. soo chill and much passion in there.. pure sound-porn ! Then the performance of sebnem soo classy and confident and innocent and cute all charming and the instrument in her hand oooh all details completes. Nothing less nothing more needed! Great group that know whats eurovion is about! They shld have won that year!
I'd also like to know why Sebnem didn't make a career as a recording artist. She's done a few interviews - the answer is probably in them, but I don't understand Turkish. The boom in nostalgia means that her (and Coker's) songs have seen an upturn in popularity, so maybe she'll even start performing again??
hi Dadgecity, I'm not sure, but I think she switched to others occupations, she has been teaching music at school. Maybe because of less success after this incredible song. Honestly I don't know the genuine reasons behind this decision to stay away from music industry. I hope she'll come back one day too !
As a Turk, I read that interview. According to her, two songs made it to the finals for Eurovision and as a result, 'Dinle' was chosen. Şebnem says that she was closer to the other at first. Before participating in Eurovision, Şebnem was not a famous person like Sevtab. She didn't want to be a famous person. “I never admired any artist, so I didn't care if they admired me” she says. It made her very uncomfortable to collaborate with people who knew nothing about music. She's talking about the producers. She made an album with the composer of 'Dinle', but the album could not be released due to the monopoly in distribution (very few have been released) "I am forgotten but 'Dinle' is remembered" She's shy and confident person. She did ballet for seven years as a child. While she was singing 'Dinle', she was angry because her hair wasn't done properly. Şebnem is married and has two daughters. A year ago, she was appointed as a music teacher at a secondary school. She has been teaching music for twenty years. She wrote a music book When asked if she will make music again, she says yes. 'I am no longer obliged to producers, distribution companies, anything. Nothing is the same as before' Sorry my poor English.
Çok Harikaydı.
Your facial expressions made my day 🥰
