This is a very good real test for the survival ammo can!! Not only for ammo, but important documents and cash. I'd put a big flat rock on top of the can before finishing filling the hole with dirt, more concealment from electronic equipment! Also, have 2" to 3" of dirt on top of the flat rock so grass can grow, after a while, no one will know you have something in the ground, (long term thinking). Just make sure you record the location of the can......

One thing about the O-Ring which I assume is made from rubber? Keep in mind that rubber does deteriorate over time , so I wonder how many years this could truly last?
