The reason Shadow kept getting shafted was because the writers knew he was too competent. If he was allowed to go on the journey with Sonic, the show would've been much shorter.

I also think its also SEGA‘s Shadow Mandates that they‘ve enforeced on the writers. Due to the Mandates interactions in general are considered…‘hard to write‘ according to Ian which is why you also don‘t see Shadow in a lot of Sonic Games or Stories as of late.
I didnt really like the style 3D animation can look good tho especially the opening of Sonic Unleashed But even the animation itself feels kinda off as if it was rushed . Sonic's running especially the peel out looks so unfitting
Remember, in a different universe, Sonic Prime would've been a crossover between every Sonic continuity. giving a final send-off and a definitive conclusion to all of them before being put back in the vault because Sega of Japan hate everything that isn't from the games. Snivley (Satam) could've been the mastermind who started it, we could've fixed the shattered Mobius from the Archie Comics because iirc, the comics were cancelled before they finished the Unleashed adaptation, Sonic (Underground), Sonia, and Manic could've defeated their robotnik and reunited with their mother, TELL ME THAT SHOULDN'T'VE BEEN WHAT PRIME WAS! Because that is the only thing sega is good at always making things inconsistent because they don't know how to give us a consistent Canon to begin with if they took notes from DC how about multiple universes and timelines if they need to give us which part of it is Canon and what isn't Canon because if they don't then we get stuff like this like Sonic acting out of character him childish and taking way too long to even learn the lessons given to him he's not even cool he is lacking that cocky energy that he has and he does care for his own freedom as well as inspiring anyone around him to live to their fullest lives can Sonic can be serious if he wants to and prime Sonic doesn't have the same maturity as game Sonic does like game Sonic has way more experiences of fighting eggman multiple times or visiting different dimensions multiple times even knowing the difference between the alternate versions of his friends and his actual friends and prime is more impulsive impatient and doesn't even recognize that nine it's not the same tails that he knew which game Sonic from Black Knight knew that version of tails is not his tails and it would be much better if Sonic prime is not canon at all it can be Canon to the multiverse but not canon to the video games same thing with idw sonic

New Yoke, I will keep generally the same except for the name which is Neo Imperial Robius Earth or NIRE. I will add more locations instead of just Green Hill (same for the original world) like Central City, Station Square, Soleanna, and other locations. I will also make it a universe when Sonic surrenders to the Robotnik Empire in a canon SatAM, which results in Earth to become NIRE. All the Freedom Fighters will be led by Sally instead of Rebel Rouge, and Nine will become that because he wants to cut ties to Sonic, thus changing his nickname from Tails to Nine. Next would be Boscage which I will change to the Underground Universe. It has Sonic’s father Jules marry Aleena instead of Bernadette, giving birth to the 3 twins instead of just Sonic. (don’t bother to explain how that would work, just go with it.) Both Sonics, Manic, and Sonia stop Robotnik from finding the Paradox Prism Shard Or a universe where Sonic and Shadow failed to stop the ARK from crashing into the Earth causing it all to start again. And finally my favorite change is No Place, which will be the OVA universe. Here, the world was lifted to the sky, cutting ties to the Eggman Empire below. I would love to see Sonic be completely amazed by this place, just like I was every time I see planet Freedom

I think the main problems is that it was claimed canon, they only had one season to work with, Sonic had to be the main character and they wanted Nine to be the big bad villain that everyone works together to fight during the last arc. Which is why a couple of the episodes had more or less the same plot. They needed to keep Nine as an antagonist but with the way he’s written, His villain arc should only last about an episode or two. Which it would have had Sonic decided to deal with Nine on his own. in order to make Nine the way he is. Sonic had to be deliberately written badly.
It was just a generic brand show made for 5 year olds and only them, only thing it’s got going for it is how it looks way better than most cg cartoons I just pretend like it’s not canon since they ignored all of Ian Flynn’s notes and revisions
I agree the show’s writting can be pretty bad. Sonic Prime shouldn’t be canon and Prime!Sonic should be his own thing. But I do really like him a lot. He’s not always well written but when he is, he’s so sweet, wholesome, energetic and acts/sounds like an actual teenager. Not to mention his model and animation are some of my favorites in terms of 3D animation. He’s just too kind and caring for you to hate him while at the same time you hate the fact that he’s canon to the games when he shouldn’t be. Deven is also my favorite VA for him. His range is ridiculously good. Shadow too. I loved him throughout all the craziness he had to be put through in this crazy show.
I feel like you perfectly described how every season felt. First and Final were important and the rest were just filler to TRY to add some story and “lore.” I ABSOLUTELY HATE the fact that they threw shadow in a hole to get rid of him. They had so much potential in season two just to throw it all away in season three
We were also straight up missing an episode from season 3 since the final one ended on a cliffhanger. With the kinda lazy explanation of “season 1 episode 1 is twice as long so we’re just gonna act like this was intended the whole time”
Me too. Prime Shadow is the best version of Shadow that we've gotten since the peaked Sonic 06 version of him. He should have had more screentime in that show.
I remember a video saying that it's coincidencial that every first episode was the highest rated ones. And who was in those episodes? Shadow. Not to mention, Netflix promotes the first episodes of each season. This makes it believeable Shadow was a marketing tool.
And for anybody who wants to defend prime Sonic by dissing movie Sonic, movie Sonic is deliberately an alternate version meant to be an impressionable younger teenager who is still growing into his own for the sake of getting more mileage out of the character’s growth for more entries while prime Sonic is a flanderized OOC version of an established character within an established canon all so the production team could get their kicks out of making a cheap silly fun time haha cartoon show without caring too much about details.
I honestly do like Sonic Prime, I liked(MOST of) the plot, and honestly it was a nice show for me. Just don’t like how it’s canon, or how exactly it works as canon
I will never love the jungle or Pirate characters and if they're going to ignore me and make childish characters in the way at least do a good job of making me care about them like give them a back story or something to make me care about them but no we don't know anything about them none of them have any backstory or character traits at all WHY SHOULD WE CARE IF THEY DIE OR NOT!?!? Also every universe is so basic they could have gone more creative with that but no every universe is so uninteresting and there's no other Sonic level or other different type of world every single world is a different version of Green Hill.
Instead of a multiverse, they should have just focused on the one alternate universe with New Yolk City, where Eggman won. Also, watching this right after playing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart...the similarities are uncanny. And Ratchet and Clank did it better.
The animation and action is great, but it became soo annoying that they gave more appearances to the shatter space versions of the characters who aren't as interesting as the real versions of them instead of having the episode plots be serious enough for Shadow to need to be with Sonic more in the story plots instead of having the Ultimate Lifeform be sidelined. Why have the second most popular character in the whole franchise who lots of people would want to see and finally wasn't being shown as an unlikable edgeloard jerk only be in some episodes and also only get a small amount of screentime in those episodes?! What happened at the end of the final episode looks more like a cliffhanger than a true finale to the show because they showed that a battle was about to start, and gave no explanation of where Shadow had ended up at after he cleverly used Chaos Control to warp himself and the connected Paradox Prism shards away so that Eggman couldn't get those gems! PS, Was it just me, or did anyone else think that the Chaos Counsole member who was called Mr. Dr, Eggman looked as if he was wearing an Ace Ventura Pet Detective cosplay wig all the time? Lol.😂 Him dressing up a bit like a character who was in the past played as by the comedian actor who was cast in as the 2020s movie counterpart of the real Eggman a.k.a. Robotnik can be hilarious for sure.

And for one thing the creator of the show never even explain how it's even Canon or how it even makes sense anyway like Sonic x makes way more sense of not being Canon than Sonic prime just because they have the events inspired by sa2 does not make it canon to the video games or Sonic movies not being Canon because they're continuity is much more consistent then Sonic prime I am fine with movie Sonic being childish because this is how he was implemented in the movie it keeps him distinct and different from game Sonic but eventually movie Sonic will grow and he'll have his own character development like he would get for the third movie unlike Sonic prime who barely even changes
I mentally checked out once I could see that (the true) Eggman wasn't going to be involved in the story after ep 1. The little screen time he had was great, so it was a huge letdown.
I think the premise of the show could've been more interesting if every universe that sonic explores into strictly had one alternate version of the cast per world. That would've given the show the opportunity to give more time to flesh them out without having to juggle with every single character varient and preventing it from feeling cluttered. This is kinda what show try to do with having the one primary character for each of sonics friends but we never got one for rouge and two of the of those worlds were bland plot relevent worlds instead of getting more interesting themes
I want my boy shadow to be in more shows and not be sidelined so what he’s powerful JUST GET HIM MORE INVOLVED also shadow in sonic prime was my absolute favorite character sonic on the other hand he’s my favorite character too it’s just he’s so childish and reckless but that still didn’t make me hate the show it’s still my favorite
This is why i feel i think that it should be a different continuity from the games, and i hope Sonic Prime doesn’t get namedrop in future games or i gotta do something.
The problem is that they don’t go too deep with the multiverse concept. Like, the Eggman world is overused and obvious, the plant one is just there, the pirate one doesn’t make sense, since it’d make sense for Rouge to be the greedy pirate and not Knuckles, and as for Big and Tails, they get shafted. They don’t have alternate worlds that would fit who they are, no swamp or science world. Just the Grim, Colorless Hill, and the Void. As for threats, they’re just kinda boring. The Chaos Council feels like if the Deadly Six lost a member, and were all Eggman, Chaos Sonic was an interesting idea until Grim Sonic came in, and made him meaningless, and they had an opportunity to give us Evil Tails with Tails Nine, and then dropped the ball. Also, the rules aren’t explained. Like, why does Eggman only exist in one world, how did Tails make robot devices in the pirate world, what was the Grim, how does the Prism Crystal or whatever work, who made it, how did Eggman hear about it, what happened to Orbot and Cubot, what happened to other Sonic characters and villains, why is Big in every world despite not being near the explosion, why is Omega missing. So many questions, and yet none of them are answered. Also, why did the advertising make it seem like this show would be a time traveling show where Sonic had to stop a bad future made by Eggman, where Amy is a cyborg, Tails has nine tails, Rouge is a general, and Knuckles is whatever the muscle in a army is called. For the first season, at least.
And not only that but she is lacking in sexual charisma you know the type of manipulation or her version of rizz that she uses to get what she wants and prime Rouge just doesn't do it for me
Sonic Prime could've been about Sonic meeting other versions of himself (the animated counterparts, comic counterparts) after shattering the crystal and all them working together to get the universe back to normal while fighting all the other incarnations of Eggman over the years as well.
The biggest sin of any TV show is rendering itself pointless. The ending retroactively makes the whole series worthless, as there's zero investment to be had knowing everything will be undone. A whole year's worth of time and investment for nothing. Shame to have such a great cast wasted. And with what we know now about the writers ignoring the lore management team despite this show being _declared_ canon, only makes it worse. And yes, I specified _declared_ because, like IDW before it, this was never meant to be canon, it was just declared so after the fact; contradictions and inconsistencies be damned. And because of that, I will tolerate no Knuckles hate. That show beats Prime by default, on the grounds that it has an actual story with a beginning, middle and end that they commit to. I am confident at calling Sonic Prime the WORST Sonic series of all time.

WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE THIS FUCKIN SHOW?! Okay, I get it! It's flawed. Sonic's character is kinda annoying. WHAT IN THE HOLY FUCK WAS THE GODDAMN POINT OF THE VOID???!!! But I loved it despite these flaws. Nothing is perfect and what worked, worked for me and my family! I dunno, maybe it's because I'm a die-hard Tails fan and seeing him finally become a villain after ALL that foreshadowing sense GODDAMN COLORS it was a big relief to me. His character MADE that show! Also seeing Shadow NOT be an edgy punching bag or a stupid angsty bully was also a relief too. The animation was fantastic, the character interactions were mostly good, the musical score was great, I GENUINLY liked the Chaos Council despite it's cringe, and despite it being rushed it told a pretty good rollercoaster of a story. Sure we could wish for more, but why not appreciate what we have. And why are we even complaining we need more in the first place? We are literally mostly writers or artists as fans; if we want more we could just MAKE more.

Even if you say you're decisive they will still listen to the part mentioned in the title and thumbnail like it's gospel, not listen to the other side of the argument and not form their own opinions. It's so frustrating and a lot of other things on the internet have this problem too. And the worst part is it's not really your fault but the audience will put blame on you anyway for influencing that opinion which is such a pain. I feel like Sonic Prime is a worse viewing experience when you watch it as three 8 episode seasons instead of One Singular 24 episode season. But even if you were to consider all of Sonic Prime as one single 24 episode season it's still a mostly subpar show with a few good moments sprinkled in every couple episodes or so.
I used to give this show two thumbs up in Netflix, due to how good the first season was. However, I rated down to one thumb up as I noticed how the is becoming more and more boring as the seasons went on. Now I do not believe I even like the show anymore. I especially feel this way with how the writers of the show mischaracterized Sonic from being the perfect character we know from the games to a round character who has to relearn the same lessons he already known in the games.

Sonic Prime mainly failed because it promised to show a lot of different dimensions, but all we got is several empty and boring locations with Sonic characters designs. Now, I get that Sega is mostly responsible with not including other Sonic incarnations(a bunch of killjoys), but even without them involved just like with Spiderverse fans would've most likely expected Prime Sonic interacting with other worlds from other cartoons and comics. But nope, we got just a whole boring lot of nothing just like with Knuckles show. By the time of season 3 I was so bored I didn't give a damn that Nine will be the final boss, it was that much anticlimactic. I'm going to repeat this in every Prime discussion, whoever happens to read this, just check out Sonic Villians fan film and wait for it's final release, that's the real Sonic multiverse with passion, the crew behind this does their best to make it epic.

I was fine with the first two seasons, it was great for the first season and got bad in the second I thought there was gonna be more worlds! The last season was just the same thing over and over and over agian.
After Frontiers ushered us out of the Meta era (at least I like to think so) Prime felt… late to the party. I don’t really like any of the games in the Meta era (besides Generations) but had this come out at the same time as, say Lost World, it would’ve at least fit the tone the rest of series was going with even if it sucked. I like bits of Sonic Prime but overall, it’s pretty eh. Voice actors are a decent fit tho direction was hit or miss, the models are also pretty good. If they used em in the games, I wouldn’t be against it. Oh and it being canon to the games makes no sense whatsoever. 100% agree that that is stupid
I liked sonic prime season 1 and I loved season 2 but season 3… is so unbelievably rushed I can barely call anything good about it. It is disappointment on the highest regard and this series works much better in its own universe especially in terms of Sonic, there is no way the same Sonic form the canon would act the same like Sonic did in this show. I think people wouldn’t have mind it too much if it was its own thing. I like the first two seasons but season 3 is so disappointing and to the fans out there, please rewrite season 3 or the show as a whole. I like this show but even I agree it could’ve been done better and so fans please rewrite this show and make it fantastic like you guys did with forces and the bad Sonic games.

New Yoke, I will keep generally the same except for the name which is Neo Imperial Robius Earth or NIRE. I will add more locations instead of just Green Hill (same for the original world) like Central City, Station Square, Soleanna, and other locations. I will also make it a universe when Sonic surrenders to the Robotnik Empire in a canon SatAM, which results in Earth to become NIRE. All the Freedom Fighters will be led by Sally instead of Rebel Rouge, and Nine will become that because he wants to cut ties to Sonic, thus changing his nickname from Tails to Nine.
Next would be Boscage which I will change to the Underground Universe. It has Sonic’s father Jules marry Aleena instead of Bernadette, giving birth to the 3 twins instead of just Sonic. (don’t bother to explain how that would work, just go with it.) Both Sonics, Manic, and Sonia stop Robotnik from finding the Paradox Prism Shard
Or a universe where Sonic and Shadow failed to stop the ARK from crashing into the Earth causing it all to start again.
And finally my favorite change is No Place, which will be the OVA universe. Here, the world was lifted to the sky, cutting ties to the Eggman Empire below. I would love to see Sonic be completely amazed by this place, just like I was every time I see planet Freedom

I think the main problems is that it was claimed canon, they only had one season to work with, Sonic had to be the main character and they wanted Nine to be the big bad villain that everyone works together to fight during the last arc.
Which is why a couple of the episodes had more or less the same plot. They needed to keep Nine as an antagonist but with the way he’s written, His villain arc should only last about an episode or two. Which it would have had Sonic decided to deal with Nine on his own.
in order to make Nine the way he is. Sonic had to be deliberately written badly.
It was just a generic brand show made for 5 year olds and only them, only thing it’s got going for it is how it looks way better than most cg cartoons

I agree the show’s writting can be pretty bad. Sonic Prime shouldn’t be canon and Prime!Sonic should be his own thing. But I do really like him a lot.
He’s not always well written but when he is, he’s so sweet, wholesome, energetic and acts/sounds like an actual teenager. Not to mention his model and animation are some of my favorites in terms of 3D animation.
He’s just too kind and caring for you to hate him while at the same time you hate the fact that he’s canon to the games when he shouldn’t be. Deven is also my favorite VA for him. His range is ridiculously good. Shadow too. I loved him throughout all the craziness he had to be put through in this crazy show.
I feel like you perfectly described how every season felt. First and Final were important and the rest were just filler to TRY to add some story and “lore.” I ABSOLUTELY HATE the fact that they threw shadow in a hole to get rid of him. They had so much potential in season two just to throw it all away in season three

Me too. Prime Shadow is the best version of Shadow that we've gotten since the peaked Sonic 06 version of him. He should have had more screentime in that show.
I remember a video saying that it's coincidencial that every first episode was the highest rated ones. And who was in those episodes? Shadow. Not to mention, Netflix promotes the first episodes of each season. This makes it believeable Shadow was a marketing tool.
And for anybody who wants to defend prime Sonic by dissing movie Sonic, movie Sonic is deliberately an alternate version meant to be an impressionable younger teenager who is still growing into his own for the sake of getting more mileage out of the character’s growth for more entries while prime Sonic is a flanderized OOC version of an established character within an established canon all so the production team could get their kicks out of making a cheap silly fun time haha cartoon show without caring too much about details.
I honestly do like Sonic Prime, I liked(MOST of) the plot, and honestly it was a nice show for me.

I will never love the jungle or Pirate characters and if they're going to ignore me and make childish characters in the way at least do a good job of making me care about them like give them a back story or something to make me care about them but no we don't know anything about them none of them have any backstory or character traits at all WHY SHOULD WE CARE IF THEY DIE OR NOT!?!? Also every universe is so basic they could have gone more creative with that but no every universe is so uninteresting and there's no other Sonic level or other different type of world every single world is a different version of Green Hill.
Instead of a multiverse, they should have just focused on the one alternate universe with New Yolk City, where Eggman won.
Also, watching this right after playing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart...the similarities are uncanny. And Ratchet and Clank did it better.
The animation and action is great, but it became soo annoying that they gave more appearances to the shatter space versions of the characters who aren't as interesting as the real versions of them instead of having the episode plots be serious enough for Shadow to need to be with Sonic more in the story plots instead of having the Ultimate Lifeform be sidelined. Why have the second most popular character in the whole franchise who lots of people would want to see and finally wasn't being shown as an unlikable edgeloard jerk only be in some episodes and also only get a small amount of screentime in those episodes?! What happened at the end of the final episode looks more like a cliffhanger than a true finale to the show because they showed that a battle was about to start, and gave no explanation of where Shadow had ended up at after he cleverly used Chaos Control to warp himself and the connected Paradox Prism shards away so that Eggman couldn't get those gems!
PS, Was it just me, or did anyone else think that the Chaos Counsole member who was called Mr. Dr, Eggman looked as if he was wearing an Ace Ventura Pet Detective cosplay wig all the time? Lol.😂 Him dressing up a bit like a character who was in the past played as by the comedian actor who was cast in as the 2020s movie counterpart of the real Eggman a.k.a. Robotnik can be hilarious for sure.

I mentally checked out once I could see that (the true) Eggman wasn't going to be involved in the story after ep 1. The little screen time he had was great, so it was a huge letdown.

I think the premise of the show could've been more interesting if every universe that sonic explores into strictly had one alternate version of the cast per world. That would've given the show the opportunity to give more time to flesh them out without having to juggle with every single character varient and preventing it from feeling cluttered. This is kinda what show try to do with having the one primary character for each of sonics friends but we never got one for rouge and two of the of those worlds were bland plot relevent worlds instead of getting more interesting themes
I want my boy shadow to be in more shows and not be sidelined so what he’s powerful JUST GET HIM MORE INVOLVED also shadow in sonic prime was my absolute favorite character sonic on the other hand he’s my favorite character too it’s just he’s so childish and reckless but that still didn’t make me hate the show it’s still my favorite

The best part of this show was Shadow. Other than that everything of this show was bad.
This is why i feel i think that it should be a different continuity from the games, and i hope Sonic Prime doesn’t get namedrop in future games or i gotta do something.
The problem is that they don’t go too deep with the multiverse concept. Like, the Eggman world is overused and obvious, the plant one is just there, the pirate one doesn’t make sense, since it’d make sense for Rouge to be the greedy pirate and not Knuckles, and as for Big and Tails, they get shafted. They don’t have alternate worlds that would fit who they are, no swamp or science world. Just the Grim, Colorless Hill, and the Void. As for threats, they’re just kinda boring. The Chaos Council feels like if the Deadly Six lost a member, and were all Eggman, Chaos Sonic was an interesting idea until Grim Sonic came in, and made him meaningless, and they had an opportunity to give us Evil Tails with Tails Nine, and then dropped the ball. Also, the rules aren’t explained. Like, why does Eggman only exist in one world, how did Tails make robot devices in the pirate world, what was the Grim, how does the Prism Crystal or whatever work, who made it, how did Eggman hear about it, what happened to Orbot and Cubot, what happened to other Sonic characters and villains, why is Big in every world despite not being near the explosion, why is Omega missing. So many questions, and yet none of them are answered.
Also, why did the advertising make it seem like this show would be a time traveling show where Sonic had to stop a bad future made by Eggman, where Amy is a cyborg, Tails has nine tails, Rouge is a general, and Knuckles is whatever the muscle in a army is called. For the first season, at least.
It was generic kids show slop, I literally fell asleep half way through season 2 and didn’t bother with the rest.

Sonic Prime could've been about Sonic meeting other versions of himself (the animated counterparts, comic counterparts) after shattering the crystal and all them working together to get the universe back to normal while fighting all the other incarnations of Eggman over the years as well.

The biggest sin of any TV show is rendering itself pointless. The ending retroactively makes the whole series worthless, as there's zero investment to be had knowing everything will be undone. A whole year's worth of time and investment for nothing.
Shame to have such a great cast wasted.
And with what we know now about the writers ignoring the lore management team despite this show being _declared_ canon, only makes it worse.
And yes, I specified _declared_ because, like IDW before it, this was never meant to be canon, it was just declared so after the fact; contradictions and inconsistencies be damned.
And because of that, I will tolerate no Knuckles hate. That show beats Prime by default, on the grounds that it has an actual story with a beginning, middle and end that they commit to.
I am confident at calling Sonic Prime the WORST Sonic series of all time.

It was such a stupid idea to make the show canon and for Sega to apparently make the comics canon too they're trying to make every single piece of Sonic media canon and it's not working and obviously it's not working cuz it's such a stupid idea.
WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE THIS FUCKIN SHOW?! Okay, I get it! It's flawed. Sonic's character is kinda annoying. WHAT IN THE HOLY FUCK WAS THE GODDAMN POINT OF THE VOID???!!! But I loved it despite these flaws. Nothing is perfect and what worked, worked for me and my family! I dunno, maybe it's because I'm a die-hard Tails fan and seeing him finally become a villain after ALL that foreshadowing sense GODDAMN COLORS it was a big relief to me. His character MADE that show! Also seeing Shadow NOT be an edgy punching bag or a stupid angsty bully was also a relief too. The animation was fantastic, the character interactions were mostly good, the musical score was great, I GENUINLY liked the Chaos Council despite it's cringe, and despite it being rushed it told a pretty good rollercoaster of a story. Sure we could wish for more, but why not appreciate what we have. And why are we even complaining we need more in the first place? We are literally mostly writers or artists as fans; if we want more we could just MAKE more.

Even if you say you're decisive they will still listen to the part mentioned in the title and thumbnail like it's gospel, not listen to the other side of the argument and not form their own opinions. It's so frustrating and a lot of other things on the internet have this problem too. And the worst part is it's not really your fault but the audience will put blame on you anyway for influencing that opinion which is such a pain. I feel like Sonic Prime is a worse viewing experience when you watch it as three 8 episode seasons instead of One Singular 24 episode season. But even if you were to consider all of Sonic Prime as one single 24 episode season it's still a mostly subpar show with a few good moments sprinkled in every couple episodes or so.

I used to give this show two thumbs up in Netflix, due to how good the first season was. However, I rated down to one thumb up as I noticed how the is becoming more and more boring as the seasons went on. Now I do not believe I even like the show anymore. I especially feel this way with how the writers of the show mischaracterized Sonic from being the perfect character we know from the games to a round character who has to relearn the same lessons he already known in the games.

The only thing I didnt like was when it became canon to the mainline games and it still baffles me.
Tye Chaos Council is a lazy excuse for villains.
Maybe they shouldn’t make any more of the animated series and more of the UA-cam animated shorts to promote the games and IDW comics instead.
Sonic Prime mainly failed because it promised to show a lot of different dimensions, but all we got is several empty and boring locations with Sonic characters designs. Now, I get that Sega is mostly responsible with not including other Sonic incarnations(a bunch of killjoys), but even without them involved just like with Spiderverse fans would've most likely expected Prime Sonic interacting with other worlds from other cartoons and comics. But nope, we got just a whole boring lot of nothing just like with Knuckles show.
By the time of season 3 I was so bored I didn't give a damn that Nine will be the final boss, it was that much anticlimactic.
I'm going to repeat this in every Prime discussion, whoever happens to read this, just check out Sonic Villians fan film and wait for it's final release, that's the real Sonic multiverse with passion, the crew behind this does their best to make it epic.
I think prime was alright tho, but could have been better in many aspects.

After Frontiers ushered us out of the Meta era (at least I like to think so) Prime felt… late to the party. I don’t really like any of the games in the Meta era (besides Generations) but had this come out at the same time as, say Lost World, it would’ve at least fit the tone the rest of series was going with even if it sucked. I like bits of Sonic Prime but overall, it’s pretty eh. Voice actors are a decent fit tho direction was hit or miss, the models are also pretty good. If they used em in the games, I wouldn’t be against it.
Oh and it being canon to the games makes no sense whatsoever. 100% agree that that is stupid

I liked sonic prime season 1 and I loved season 2 but season 3… is so unbelievably rushed I can barely call anything good about it. It is disappointment on the highest regard and this series works much better in its own universe especially in terms of Sonic, there is no way the same Sonic form the canon would act the same like Sonic did in this show. I think people wouldn’t have mind it too much if it was its own thing. I like the first two seasons but season 3 is so disappointing and to the fans out there, please rewrite season 3 or the show as a whole. I like this show but even I agree it could’ve been done better and so fans please rewrite this show and make it fantastic like you guys did with forces and the bad Sonic games.
