When they were all grown and married, I gave each his/her specia ornaments to begin their own Christmas trees. That means our own tree became a bit void of ornaaments, which I've joyfully replenished. I'm told my oldest child (a son) has especially loved his treasured pieces--a special joy for me. I served my church mission in New England. Specifically Maine and New Hampshire. I grew up in California my whole life. I fell in love with everything about New England. I actually went to some of the best yard sales there. I feel like there, no one is in competition with anyone. Everyone just has their priorities right. They decorate with what makes them happy. They don't do it to impress anyone. I'm new to your channel. I love how relaxing you are to watch. Personally I use the same Christmas decorations year after year. When our pines all had to come down, along with other items I used 40 years ago, I began to g to where live trees were sold to get fresh greens. Unfortunately, here in Georgia, the greenery dries out so quickly, for safety I finally abandoned most of the natural decor. Now, I watch your videos and reminisce. Thanks, Hillary...a lovely job!
