Well put up and well moderated. I am 2013 pass out alumni of LPU and at that time they were in there initial stages. We have seen the university transform. We hardly got 1 or 2 companies visiting that too for a Prod. Support roles or voice. As she acknowledged, individual attention is still a challenge as it was back then. The guidance was very less, not much research work, and practical application of work was none. We figured that out in the Industry. But I would say they made us industry ready and the strict rules made us wrap up the course in time frame with no distractions. Good to see the University excel with the vision set.
TRUTH OF LPU UNIVERSITY I am currently a student in this university.Its my 4th year of Btech.Would not recommend anyone to join this university because of various reasons. They really don't care about the well being of their students.I currently live outside the campus because of poor conditions of their hostels but they try their best to keep you inside the campus .They have a lot of gates but the students living outside are only allowed through the main gate.Its all business so that students are forced to take hostels due to the poor conditions of the roads outside which can be better(because Mr Mittal is now a MP but they wont be because then again business) and the gates close to students are also kept closed and they are forced to travel around the university to enter through the main gate. Also,they debarr you from placement services for illogical reasons so that you take them seriously. They make you do self paced online courses from college. Attendance criteria is really bad.Teachers quality is not good. And they really don't care about your complaints unless you are influential. Hostel timings for girls are 6:00 pm for girls on winters and 7:30 pm in summers BUT for boys the timing is far more extended and they can roam around the campus even after those timings. They show various facilities that they have in the campus but then charge you for those same services. The ACs inside the hostels mostly don't work and Hostel Wardens do not have a clue of what to do. The quality of teachers is really bad . There is an additional fees for placement services(14000 INR) over the tuition fee if you want to sit for on campus placements. The majority of the teachers are the past students from this college only.Its like a city managed by Mr and Mrs Mittal .The management is really bad.The situation is similar to a government office where one person redirects you to another and so on.If you can get them free advertisings by winning any medals and claim that you are their student ,then you are more than welcome in this university but apart from that ,if you are a normal student like me,I feel like this place limits my potential by introducing weird rules. .They always hide the unreasonable hostel charges and increase it by 10k every year( for ex the cost for two seater room is 1.5 lakh🙃) NON VEG IS NOT ALLOWED Except if you are a sports quota student,then everything is allowed. To pick up parcels you have to go either to the main gate or the mall. IF YOU ARE A GIRL,you will regret taking admission and living inside because of the restrictions they impose. They call and ask your parents if you want to take a leave from hostel. The guards are really rude and think that they own the place. When you stay here long enough,you will know that they really do own this place and will treat you really badly.This is the sole reason I went out of the hostels because they invaded my privacy by coming to my room at 1 AM and mishandled my stuff. The freshers are shown somewhat care but after you enter your second year they start revealing their true faces. Also their seats are never full, they take as many admissions as possible thinking that their campus is huge. But no matter how huge a campus is it has a limit and they don't understand this. After a lecture is over its like a kumbh mela, you can't find a place to eat, all the canteens are full, everyone is bumping into each other and somehow making it to their classes. A special digital marketing team among the students is present whose sole job is to glorify the UNIVERSITY on different social media platforms for which they are paid handsomely depending on the amount of views.This is the reason that many people join this university and get to know the truth afterwards but they cant do anything but I am here to help. Most of the focus in this university is given to extra curricular activities to the point that the main education suffers. THIS IS THE TRUTH.I am just helping you have an informed decision about which university to join. Don't come here,its disappointing except only for the 600 acre campus.Enjoy the puddles in rainy season inside the college when you have to walk 1.5 km and climb 9 floors just to attend your classes as the lifts are just for show. ( which most of the students spend chilling ) Say , there are 5 work days in a week , total in 5 days ma , kitna hours ka work time hoga ( approx , including home assignment , any preparation , classes , travel , etc )

I have mentioned that they want you to come to college even during your summer term to watch online videos which you can watch at home.And if your attendance falls below 75% then they will debarr you from placement services.As for free time bro it is directly related to the attendance criteria,you get 25% of your classes as free time.After 9 to 5 ,you have to do the Class assignments most sem me 3 hote hain aur 1 mid term aur 1 end term exam .There are not 5 work days in a week ,they can call you whenever they want for various exams and preparation .Baaki depends on your semester.Also you can chill all you want as long as its above 75% attendance but it will affect your studies.Bahar rahoge to travel time zyada hoga kyuki college wale gates band rakhte hain taaki unke hostels chalte rahe nahi to sab bahar aa jayenge itni bekaar haalat hai andar ki. Mostly 1,2 year me workload zyada rehta hai ,3rd year me placement ka pressure aur 4th me depression.
Most people in highly competitive universities succeed because they were already brilliant. Some people from low ranking universities also succeed because they’re bright enough to learn and adapt themselves. Rest will never achieve anything no matter what because they neither have the drive nor the capacity to succeed.
My daughter normal student and she did BTech from LPU with 8CGP and now she is doing masters from MAC GIll University one of the top university with scholarship ❤
The worst part of lpu the dark side is they do not focus on student opinions they literally neglect our problems Strict hostel rules for girls and not for boys Reappear and backlogs are the main source of their business There is no any strong student union to be bridge between student and administration Now the best part of LPU Great experience and diversity within the campus They respect everybody's culture The best infrastructure Well managed campus (you will feel like you are in western part of world) LPU is a city in itself, if you are a person who just wish for good education then lpu is not for you But if you want to explore yourself be part of different clubs showcase your talent then lpu is the best platform for you
You need unions and start riots its a college not for people who want to argue over backlogs. If you study well be 10 pointer why only failures talk about backlogs. And why be jealous if college is earning if you have skills go open a business like them lol. Very easy to talk shit about a university why you take admission and not go to top institutions who don't want to admit you and waste parents hard earned money defaming their hard work here just because you are lazy and want free placement for your money. For anyone wondering if LPU is good or not : Let me tell you (I am Bsc Hons Agriculture Pass out this year ) Academics is good in LPU. Like teachers are helpful , classes are very regular .But pressure outside academics is really high , they'll force you to participate in every seminar, workshop etc .Anf examination system is really trash .Teachers put avg marks for everyone in Practical exams. Should you take admission? Definitely if money isnt a problem for you .😅 ( Plus one thing : Management is very bad in long term planning , they'll suddenly change class commencement or exam dates , leads to trouble for students who come from very far )

Was taking admission in LPU this year, was really close with getting the admission but I dropped my plan. Somehow managed to convince my father and succeeded in doing so. I really don’t want to spend money on a college degree, instead I want to utilise that money for a business or something of my own. Now I have 3 years to do something to prove myself else I have to do whatever my father says. Going all in🚀🚀. With due respect, the fact that there's often a shaming of students in the sense that they would do no good apart from being an obedient kid, or someone who's not street smart, is anything but cool. I have been a good student myself, seen brilliant minds in my class and family and all of them have been intelligent both on-field and off-field (life outside education). They seek excellence in everything they do, and if unachievable, they tend to atleast give their best. 10 CGPAs are not just into books, they have fun, lead life, and do their studies as well. I am from Jalandhar. The founding person of LPU on the small sweet shop and then went on to make a huge brand. They worked really hard but yes the current generation of mittala is quite money minded
Raj seems so disconnected from the notorius reputation of LPU in terms of student intake, the qualtiy of education, placement stastics, drugs culture in lpu and many more things which is censored by PR team of LPU, just look at the comments, hardly you will find any criticism. I agree with Maam. I have noticed that in my office that the toppers or Indians from premier universities treat others with such disrespect. Also they think they deserve better pay and promotion etc. They dont know how to be managers or leaders. While we make the same contribution at work regardless of where we come from.

With due respect to you ma'am, I feel you've no idea of the reality of students, the toughness of exams, and the efforts put in by both--students and faculty in such Universitiesm Being an Alumnus of IITBombay, I challenge you to randomly pick up a question from a quiz/midsem/semester exam from ANY enginneering stream. Now, give it to a professor from your college. He/she will spend quite sometime mulling over it, to find the answer. That's how each question is--indirect and competitive, where an avg IIT student's first reaction is 'yeh prof ne kab padhaaya?' 😅 Jokes apart, my point is, both the students and professors CONTINUE to put in dedicated efforts to improve themselves, and maintain the quality of university.

Those who are mocking LPU, so let me tell you, mai waha ka student hu, teacher professor bhale theek na ho, but LPU force you to study n attend the classes.. they try everything make a avg student getting place, by hook or crook .. during my days 1100 students where in Comp. Science only, and out of those 1100, 700+ got placed.. iss se jyada kya ummed laga skte ho ek University se 39000 per semester ki fees me, 7.2 Lacs ka placement dede mujhe..
As a BALLB graduate from LPU, I would not suggest to do law in lpu because studywise they just focus in theory and 9 to 5 lectures even in 4th,5th year also some teachers in law block are unprofessional and have poor way of teaching Inshort just the book knowledge They hardly focus on practical study of a law student Apart from law school the rest university is very cool, great infrastructure and great opportunities in extra curriculum
Agreed with her. IIMs & IITs are factories producing engineers for Western Countries. In fact Govt must impose heavy tax or fines on those who wants to go out of India after degrees from prestigious universities or must fix 4-5 times fees.
I am 1st year Btech CSE student In LPU . security in lpu is something else forget about the the drugs you can't even allowed to take outside food items inside the university , if someone caught doing any suspicious thing whole team of security guards interrogates him. Most of the guards are retired from military or police service and they extremely professional . University feels like some corporate organization and operate at a scale you can't even imagine their near-about 12,000 Btech CSE student only in first year . fun fact my hostel : Boys hostel 6(bh 6) has 3000 students alone . their are so many things to talk about but i can't wrap them in a single comment .for girls university is extremely safe, girls are not allowed to roam around in the university campus after 7pm. A team of female security guards walks with girls students who wants to study in central library after 7pm . no time limit for boys as such but sometime guards tells you to go inside the hostels after 12pm. you have to apply for online receipt : approved by hostel warden to go outside the university campus which you again have to show to the guard at the main gate . the receipt has the timing of your entry and exist from the main gate ,which automatically gets sent to your parents. University has it own flaws but food,security where not the issues inside the university campus.
LPU is a Marketing genius; they know how to sell their courses. New folks who are planning to consider LPU shouldn't get trapped by looking at the infrastructure or the lives of students on campus. LPU is not at all a value-for-money option; you will get trapped in 9-5 classes and unnecessary course curriculums. .

Well put up and well moderated. I am 2013 pass out alumni of LPU and at that time they were in there initial stages. We have seen the university transform. We hardly got 1 or 2 companies visiting that too for a Prod. Support roles or voice. As she acknowledged, individual attention is still a challenge as it was back then. The guidance was very less, not much research work, and practical application of work was none. We figured that out in the Industry. But I would say they made us industry ready and the strict rules made us wrap up the course in time frame with no distractions. Good to see the University excel with the vision set.

TRUTH OF LPU UNIVERSITY
I am currently a student in this university.Its my 4th year of Btech.Would not recommend anyone to join this university because of various reasons.
They really don't care about the well being of their students.I currently live outside the campus because of poor conditions of their hostels but they try their best to keep you inside the campus
.They have a lot of gates but the students living outside are only allowed through the main gate.Its all business so that students are forced to take hostels due to the poor conditions of the roads outside which can be better(because Mr Mittal is now a MP but they wont be because then again business) and the gates close to students are also kept closed and they are forced to travel around the university to enter through the main gate.
Also,they debarr you from placement services for illogical reasons so that you take them seriously.
They make you do self paced online courses from college.
Attendance criteria is really bad.Teachers quality is not good. And they really don't care about your complaints unless you are influential.
Hostel timings for girls are 6:00 pm for girls on winters and 7:30 pm in summers BUT for boys the timing is far more extended and they can roam around the campus even after those timings.
They show various facilities that they have in the campus but then charge you for those same services.
The ACs inside the hostels mostly don't work and Hostel Wardens do not have a clue of what to do.
The quality of teachers is really bad .
There is an additional fees for placement services(14000 INR) over the tuition fee if you want to sit for on campus placements.
The majority of the teachers are the past students from this college only.Its like a city managed by Mr and Mrs Mittal
.The management is really bad.The situation is similar to a government office where one person redirects you to another and so on.If you can get them free advertisings by winning any medals and claim that you are their student ,then you are more than welcome in this university but apart from that ,if you are a normal student like me,I feel like this place limits my potential by introducing weird rules.
.They always hide the unreasonable hostel charges and increase it by 10k every year( for ex the cost for two seater room is 1.5 lakh🙃)
NON VEG IS NOT ALLOWED Except if you are a sports quota student,then everything is allowed.
To pick up parcels you have to go either to the main gate or the mall.
IF YOU ARE A GIRL,you will regret taking admission and living inside because of the restrictions they impose.
They call and ask your parents if you want to take a leave from hostel.
The guards are really rude and think that they own the place.
When you stay here long enough,you will know that they really do own this place and will treat you really badly.This is the sole reason I went out of the hostels because they invaded my privacy by coming to my room at 1 AM and mishandled my stuff.
The freshers are shown somewhat care but after you enter your second year they start revealing their true faces.
Also their seats are never full, they take as many admissions as possible thinking that their campus is huge. But no matter how huge a campus is it has a limit and they don't understand this. After a lecture is over its like a kumbh mela, you can't find a place to eat, all the canteens are full, everyone is bumping into each other and somehow making it to their classes.
A special digital marketing team among the students is present whose sole job is to glorify the UNIVERSITY on different social media platforms for which they are paid handsomely depending on the amount of views.This is the reason that many people join this university and get to know the truth afterwards but they cant do anything but I am here to help.
Most of the focus in this university is given to extra curricular activities to the point that the main education suffers.
THIS IS THE TRUTH.I am just helping you have an informed decision about which university to join.
Don't come here,its disappointing except only for the 600 acre campus.Enjoy the puddles in rainy season inside the college when you have to walk 1.5 km and climb 9 floors just to attend your classes as the lifts are just for show.

I have mentioned that they want you to come to college even during your summer term to watch online videos which you can watch at home.And if your attendance falls below 75% then they will debarr you from placement services.As for free time bro it is directly related to the attendance criteria,you get 25% of your classes as free time.After 9 to 5 ,you have to do the Class assignments most sem me 3 hote hain aur 1 mid term aur 1 end term exam .There are not 5 work days in a week ,they can call you whenever they want for various exams and preparation .Baaki depends on your semester.Also you can chill all you want as long as its above 75% attendance but it will affect your studies.Bahar rahoge to travel time zyada hoga kyuki college wale gates band rakhte hain taaki unke hostels chalte rahe nahi to sab bahar aa jayenge itni bekaar haalat hai andar ki. Mostly 1,2 year me workload zyada rehta hai ,3rd year me placement ka pressure aur 4th me depression.

For anyone wondering if LPU is good or not : Let me tell you (I am Bsc Hons Agriculture Pass out this year ) Academics is good in LPU. Like teachers are helpful , classes are very regular .But pressure outside academics is really high , they'll force you to participate in every seminar, workshop etc .Anf examination system is really trash .Teachers put avg marks for everyone in Practical exams. Should you take admission? Definitely if money isnt a problem for you .😅 ( Plus one thing : Management is very bad in long term planning , they'll suddenly change class commencement or exam dates , leads to trouble for students who come from very far )

Was taking admission in LPU this year, was really close with getting the admission but I dropped my plan. Somehow managed to convince my father and succeeded in doing so. I really don’t want to spend money on a college degree, instead I want to utilise that money for a business or something of my own. I have been a good student myself, seen brilliant minds in my class and family and all of them have been intelligent both on-field and off-field (life outside education). The victim, a 24-year-old student, was dining at a food court near Dhilwan railway crossing, jalandhar with her friends on Monday late night (24th june 2024).
Three young men, two of whom were dressed in Nihang attire, approached them. They frightened her friends away, claiming they would drop the victim to Campus.
The suspects then took her to a secluded place and gang-raped her before fleeing.
The victim informed her friends after the suspects left, and they immediately took her to a hospital and reported the matter to the Patara police station.
The police have arrested three suspects-Aman, Ranveer Singh, and Manjit Singh-who were involved in this heinous crime. The suspects had approached the student on the pretext of offering her a ride to campus and subsequently committed the crime.
The police promptly arrested the three suspects on Tuesday morning. SHO Baljit Singh mentioned that the accused include a government water treatment plant employee, a DAP student, and an electrical goods shop.

Being an Alumnus of IITBombay, I challenge you to randomly pick up a question from a quiz/midsem/semester exam from ANY enginneering stream. Now, give it to a professor from your college. He/she will spend quite sometime mulling over it, to find the answer.

As a BALLB graduate from LPU, I would not suggest to do law in lpu because studywise they just focus in theory and 9 to 5 lectures even in 4th,5th year also some teachers in law block are unprofessional and have poor way of teaching

They hardly focus on practical study of a law student
Apart from law school the rest university is very cool, great infrastructure and great opportunities in extra curriculum

I am 1st year Btech CSE student In LPU . security in lpu is something else forget about the the drugs you can't even allowed to take outside food items inside the university , if someone caught doing any suspicious thing whole team of security guards interrogates him.
Most of the guards are retired from military or police service and they extremely professional .
University feels like some corporate organization and operate at a scale you can't even imagine their near-about 12,000 Btech CSE student only in first year . fun fact my hostel : Boys hostel 6(bh 6) has 3000 students alone . their are so many things to talk about but i can't wrap them in a single comment .for girls university is extremely safe, girls are not allowed to roam around in the university campus after 7pm. A team of female security guards walks with girls students who wants to study in central library after 7pm . no time limit for boys as such but sometime guards tells you to go inside the hostels after 12pm.
you have to apply for online receipt : approved by hostel warden to go outside the university campus which you again have to show to the guard at the main gate . the receipt has the timing of your entry and exist from the main gate ,which automatically gets sent to your parents.
University has it own flaws but food,security where not the issues inside the university campus.

New folks who are planning to consider LPU shouldn't get trapped by looking at the infrastructure or the lives of students on campus. LPU is not at all a value-for-money option; you will get trapped in 9-5 classes and unnecessary course curriculums.
