We had the privilege to work with Willa for our #BeKind campaign. Meeting her was one of my joys as CEO of KindTail. The origin of Willa's name comes from her pawrent, Christel. She gave Willa her name as she was fighting to overcome an illness from a puppy mill and it was clear, this beautiful Frenchie had an enormous will to survive, and now, thrive.
Her pawrents remind us that love, kindness, and time are ingredients to a healthy lifestyle and those traits are what we hoped to showcase in the #BeKind campaign. And while we started the #BeKind campaign to highlight dogs who have overcome disabilities, we learned that the amazing pawrents next to them are also radiant examples of what love and kindness look like.
At KindTail, we believe that every dog and every human deserves love and kindness. That led to our latest campaign titled, 'Be Kind.’ We chose to use dogs with special needs as our models to bring awareness to these amazing pets and to also celebrate the love and kindness they bring to their pawrents and anyone who is able to meet them.
We also partnered with Road Dogs & Rescue, one of the most inspirational dog rescues we have come across. They rescue bulldog breeds, with the primary focus being special needs puppies, seniors, and complicated medical dogs that are, unfortunately, the most likely to be euthanized. Road Dogs & Rescue sees the dogs they rescue as just 'differently beautiful' and 'differently-abled' that deserve to live amazing lives!
We too believe in their mission, and for every medium-size PAWD pet crate sold, we are going to donate a percentage of our profits to help them achieve their mission of saving 'differently beautiful' pets.

This is Willa. She’s so happy, full of life. She has taught us to never give up. To just be happy with what you have right now. Special needs dogs get overlooked.
To me, KindTail is a great ambassador for special needs dogs.
In a world where we can be anything, be kind.
