Farewell Test Track! Our final ride before a major refurb and I think it needs it! 4K!

We took one last ride on the current version of Test Track at EPCOT in Walt Disney World before it closes for a long refurbishment. The ride did have some issues with screens not showing up the car we built, stopping for an extended period of time, and the exit doors staying open all the time.

My husband actually had an awesome idea to remake this ride into a Cars themed ride.

That would be a great idea! I think they could make this into a great Cars ride. They could put the town inside and maybe have you ride through Luigi's tire store or Ramone's shop and then go outside for a race through the red clay mountains!

Nah. I'd prefer less themed IP attractions at Epcot. It's against the spirit of the park. There's already a great Cars ride at the other Disney parks in California.

I do agree that Epcot was not originally designed for IP type attractions, and I am definitely old enough to say that I did experience, and do miss the original Future World attractions! Supposedly the new Test Track 3.0 is going to have inspiration coming from the World of Motion and that sounds really exciting!
