It helped me to remove the latch before unplugging the cable on the back doors. It was a bit tight to try and remove the connection while the latch was still installed.
I dropped the latch down to pull that tab up too, so much easier! This video didn't show/mention removing/replacing the electrical plugs for the controls, but those will also have to be unplugged to remove your door to get the job done. All else, explained very well, thanks for posting for all of us DIY'ers! My rear Avalanche door hasn't worked since I bought it 7 years ago, now it works like a charm 😊
As a single female with 2007 Avalanche, I've watched many DIY videos to do repairs myself. This is first one I don't think I can do. A bit confusing for me😔

Is there a difference in the actuator for cadillac escalade?
I've replaced these on my truck 2 times also save all the orange clips that hold the metal rods they break and unsnap easily
Having a tough time on the drivers side door, getting the key lock mechanism rod reconnected to the actuator.

as a shop id expect you to at least replace the missing bolts for correct fitment...
Good video, but it's a tight squeeze.
