Very well done. I am especially encouraged by the unity between styles you exemplify. Keep up the good work focusing on the similarities instead of the differences.
Very well produced videos that are both informative and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to make them and to share them with us. Well done and keep up the good work.
Guys, I always watch your videos, they serve me a lot. I am dedicating much to KATA and I have greatly increased the strength with which I do them, but I lack much balance. They could do a video with exercises to improve balance. Regards, and they do a great job.
Hello Diego Rebelledo, thank you for your comment. What do you mean with balance? Is it the balance you need when you stand on one leg like for example in gangaku or the balance in kihon?
I struggle to keep my balance after the spins and stay for example in NEKO, in KATAS like NIPAIPO or MATSUMURA BASSAI. Thank you very much for answering.
Bitte hört nie mehr auf mit dem Projekt... Davon abgesehen das es sehr hilfreich ist motiviert es mich auch echt häufig ins Training zu gehen wenn ich mir vorher ein Video von euch zwei anschaue 🙈
Hello guys i love your channel and your videos too I practice shotokan and i have to admit that i am more incline to kumite and goshin jutsu but i love practice some shito ryu katas like superinpei and nipaipo . Could you make some videos on technical aspects of those katas it would be great.
Very good. But in karate the basic do not move the front foot. The body is on the Koshis, if you move the balance to Heels is not biomecanical correct. But. Very good video.
On these exercises you turn on the ball of the foot sometimes and in others you start on the heel and finish the turn on the ball of the foot . Why not always on the heel?
to me kata is like the western shadow boxing applying technique to an imagined opponent attacking in a certain way, and the one doing the kata or shadow boxing counters of his own. however, I think that wide stances in karate seems, to me, not realistic or pragmatic in actual fight. Take for example the JKA MMA man from Brazil, he high stance always during his fight in the UFC. High stance is more agile for moving fast. Thank you for your accommodation.
I think you have missed the point of the 2 stances, Ask yourself why they both exist and how they are used to disrupt the opponent such as knee and thigh attacks, if you think of them as a sideways stance your probably wrong, think of them as a frontal stance that attacks and moves the opponent to the rear (Shiko Daichi) and the front Kiba Daichi. The angle formed by the feet are trapping actions of the opponents feet/ankles allowing your knee to attack the opponents stance.
