- Everyone - and kids in particular - loves the Ford Anglia, ever since it appeared in the Harry Potter series. Enchanted by Arthur Weasley to fly and be invisible, the Flying Car rescued Harry (more than once!) and enjoyed an amazing trip from King's Cross station in London to Hogwarts Castle, crashing into the Whomping Willow.
Back in Muggle cities, the Anglia was a slightly less exciting offering: a compact and reliable little car that provided affordable motoring to millions. It appeared in numerous variants from 1939 to 1967, and was often the cheapest new car on the market.

In NZ we liked Anglias without any input from the Harry Potter movies. My mother had a Morris 1100 and my mate's mum had a purple Anglia with a pale grey roof and they took turns driving us to Kindy. Was a pretty groovy car for sure. Mum's navy 1100 was pretty special too tbh
I guess you don't hear the Ford Kent engine's special firing order 1-2-4-3, but I get goose bumps from it. There is no V12 or other engine to make the same whoo-sound while accelerating at the 2nd gear.
No heater matrix. I know it used to be an option extra.
O meu Anglia é 1964 (continental - Portugal) e, para além do volante se encontrar no lado correto, existem algumas diferenças. a começar pelo motor (nem parece o mesmo - provavelmente por esse ter sido fabricado na Austrália), a grelha dianteira não tem nenhum logotipo e, para terminar, os cromados da parte traseira só apresentam uma linha. De resto é igual. Abraço de Portugal
