I have been scouring every Dollar Tree in my area, and have not found any. Haven’t thought about Five Below. Found comics there just one time, so I might swing by the ones in my area this week. Thanks for the heads up!
5below is where I found my Star Wars #1 variants. And Vader #1. I think a Atar Wars Annual #1 also. Took them all to NYCC that year and had them signed. This was years ago now. Maybe 2016?
Dollar Tree has had Star Wars Adventures and SW: The High Republic Advs. reprints from Peachtree Playthings; 2 of each came out around 2022. The have really nice glossy cardstock covers. Nice deal at $1.25, I hope they publish more.
This sort of reminded me of back in the day (before comic shops were a thing) being lucky enough to come across Gold Key Comics/Whitman comics 3 packs in odd places like a stationary store and a jewelry store. After that i was always more than happy to go with my mom wherever she shopped so I could search every inch of the places for those comic bags. Pretty good peicing too. 3 comics for the price of 2, with the drawback usually being that it wasn't any series known to me (i.e. DC, Marvel, Archie or Harvey). The other. Ig drawback was once you found a good story or character, hood luck ever finding them again, let alone the very next issue.
I have NEVER seen comics at Dollar Tree (except for one that was created in tandem with a miniature action toy line). 5BELOW doesn't usually have any either. OLLIE'S always have tons of multi-issue bags of comics, along with graphic novels, but iknow MY local one SUXX! They used to have tons of them, but lately, its all the same old stuff. But, i live in hope. I'll be checking today.
Last time I bought comics at dollar tree was frozen and some Disney comics I work at dollar tree never found any comics except for that exclusive toy comic in section they is no issue 2 yet over years since it was released
It's a shame Walmart did such a bad job displaying the DC super sized comics a few years back. They were a good value, and had a new story to go with the reprints. Still, you saved three dollars as long as you were going out anyway.
One of the dollar trees I frequent on my commute had a custom cardboard standee display right at the entrance, looked like DC Rebirth series, each comic had a cheap clear plastic bag on it
The Ollie's here in Dunkirk has very little comics anymore. I'll have to check the Dollar Tree here for comics. Love the custom Pops. Just did one for our son. It came out perfect. Good luck on your hunt.
Five Below did Marvel one year then DC the next. They were mystery packs. They currently aren't doing them but that doesn't mean their aren't remnants at stores somewhere still. Looks like u found some of those DC packs. Some of those had convention exclusives. Dollar trees are expecting the shippers of 1.25 DC Comics but they aren't yet in stores here in the south east. I'm a manager in retail so i have a manager friend at Dollar Tree that is suppose to call me when they arrive on the truck.
One of the northern Indiana stores has them out for sale; at least 33 different issues are in the freestanding cardboard display. Let me know if you want me to try to supply details. They are mostly reprints from Rebirth and Dawn of DC. I bought 32 of them (passed on BM Adventures #1 because I have the FCBD edition along with the original).
Get em Goth! Hit em with the Glam! If Dollar tree does have comics its are duty to save them. The way they just stack shit in piles makes me cringe if comics are there. We need some Sabrina.
@robertquinlan4269 Most DCU issues in the 1990s were not reprints, they were variants printed at the same time as the base issues. And those variants are more collectible by all accounts.
@@A100-ND They are only more collectible now (30 years later) because the print run of the DCU logo isn't as big as regular issues and that's what collectors flock to....scarcity. Even though no one truly knows how many of those are out there. Could be a thousand, could be 10k. So, hold on to these 2024 variants for 30 years and, maybe, you can entice the new generation of comic readers to buy them off you for $10 each.
At my Dollar Tree the comics were usually in the section with the kids books
I've found plenty of trade paperbacks at Ollie's, Dollar Tree used to have back issues four to a package. Five Below sometimes has reprint manga.
they made a deal recently with dc to get reprints of their books
@collinschoenfelder677 Yeah, I learned that since making my statement. This reeks of desperation from DC, Warner Bros. & Discovery.
7:03 Ollie's is UNBELIEVABLY hit or miss, sometimes it's a gold mine, sometimes nada

Gotta respect the smooth jazz with the whammy buzzer soundtrack.

What a great video, so coll exploring these aisles. Congrats on the cool pickups!
One of my Dollar Trees had a DC rack. I just did a video showing the ones I came home with. The Batman and Harley you got were two of the ones I got.
Best place to look for comics is the Flea market and Pawn shops 😎👍

I like Ollie's, but what bugs me the most about them is their stickers are always a pain
Dear lord, the amount of time I've spent in the past six years getting them damn price stickers off their tpbs . . . 🙄
Maybe goof off will take off the stickers.

@A100-ND that's alot more than I expected them to reprint. Awesome!
UA-cam recommended your channel to me, so as a fellow metalhead and huge comic book head I had to give you a sub! 🤘
I know Wegmans has had some of the grab bag style of out of print comics
I live near a Wegmans. I never thought they would sell comics but they might as well.
@@kevinkelley3906they have them on the bottom shelf by some of the registers.
@kevinkelley3906 it's up by the registers in the magazine section last time I saw it
We used to have a store exactly like Ollie's named Building 19...I miss them. No cool stores here like you have
I stopped at 3 Dollar Tree Stores and found one single Harley Quinn Rebirth issue.
Columbus Dollar Tree got some comics finally...got some a few days ago...
Walmart has comics near the sports cards.
My ollies always looks like it was recently hit by a tornado.
I haven't had any luck. I'm my area trying to find the DC comics grab bags at all
Maybe try a comic shop instead of dollar tree...
Man, that magazine rack was ROUGH. I'd hate to see their comics.
At my Ollies, it's the other way, they basically only have DC stuff and barely any Marvel.
I went to 3 Dollar Tree stores and only one had comics which i was happy i found
Ollies where I live by had a pack of comics that are mixed DC/marvel/ independent , I went crazy bought few packs and I found few gems❤
They got comics at my Dollar tree also but none of them are any good. It’s all DC stuff.

Half Price Books yo.
New sub. Enjoyed this 😊
Funny its always marvel on the shelfs but dc goes fast mmmm wander what the fans love 😊
Nice score!
8:00 Ugh. Why do they have to put labels right on the books?? You should leave them in the unopened pack. It'll be worth more 30 years from now.
DC rocks!!!
I just seen these in my dollar tree lol.
6:12-Sounds a little....saucy 😅
I think the legalization of marinara has spread a lot from state to state.🤔
Please Rank all your Favourit DC heroes and Explain why you Like Them
Love to see your favourit Dc heroes and your thoughts on them
Wonder Woman is my favorite

🤘🤘
Why do you want this reprint crap from DC? Because they have different ads.?
I remember passing on DC reprint crap back in the 90s. Had that stupid DCU logo on them
Personally, I just want to get a few packs to see what they are like.
