You'll be lucky to get there, sadly. Heavy weather has isolated glacier country, roads washed out.

Won't be possible, was there couple of weeks ago and it was closed off due to weather making the ice breaking more frequently, I was told the same story 5 years ago. It's been like that for a long time

Great info, I believe the locals have recently found the pink & white terraces exact location, there's a video on YT I believe. Under the lake now of course but finally located.
Pink terraces were uncovered a couple of years ago 👍
A little disappointed, video jumps around a lot covering the same thing... didn't really cover the widely diverse biomes within nz and how that's reflected in the geology
can you please make a video on the mt Ruapehu lahar and the Auckland volcanic field.
My Grandma only survived that because she was late to the train station and missed her train. She was supposed to be on the one that went off the bridge that got hit by the lahar.
and I believe that my countries Pacific ocean side once met up with California they have black sands and white sands, we have black sand ,white sands and pink sands they have the purply pink
as a teenager anyone could walk down ito the Mt tarawera crater and if you stamped your foot it sounded hollow..I thought recently that they had located the position of the terraces and found they hadnt been completly destroyed,just buried

KiaOra Ozgeo. South Island's vulcanism preceeded the North Island. (Dunedin, Christchurch, Akaroa & Chatham Islands) A further discussion on this topic would be appreciated, hardly anyone covers it.
Been working up on the Kaimanawa Mountain, Central North Island Alpine High Country, east of the TVZ. Uplifted sedimentary rock, incredible place. Will put up more videos in the future.
The Taihape to Napier road is one of my favourite motorcycling roads.
Amazing landscapes. A couple of years ago I went through it and one of the bridges near Taihape was being repaired and the road was closed to general traffic. I called a contact number on the notification sign and was told to talk to the guys on the bridge and they'll let me across.
Clickbait title. These cataclysmic changes are not new. They happened a long time ago. Maybe a better title would be New Understanding of Old Zealand Geology.

Seems new Zealand is much further along, it'd be interesting to see the difference in elevation between the countries
Um no. Iceland is on a oceanic plate boundary that is rifting apart, new Zealand is continental landmass that is mostly underwater with only 10% exposed. Subduction is occurring in the northern and very southern part of the plate boundary in different directions, but the middle part is sliding past each other at the Alpine fault section of the plate boundary. Two completely different processes which aren't occuring in Iceland. Sorry 😬

New Zealand is 500+ islands.
False three major islands and many minor islands. the major islands are the "creatively" named north, south and stuart islands in english, in te reo that would be te ika a maui: the fish of maui for the north island for the south that would te waka a maui: the waka (a boat usually a multi man canoe) of maui and te punga a maui or the anchor hook/ anchor stone of maui though it depends on which tribe you speak to.

Why do the outlines of the continents zealandia,Australia, africa look the same? Why do the continents of south America and antarctica look the same? Why do the continents of nth America and Eurasia look the same?
Because the picture of maps of continents land mass is wrong most continents on the map are wrong 1st off I can assure you the continent Antarctica does not look like South America it shows a land mass shaped liked South America but in reality Antarctica land mass surrounds every continent on the global map
Antarctica is a massive circle of ice and every continent you know of is within the perimeter of Antarctica

So there is this thing on the internet that everyone has free access to called google. If you type a question into google, it will give you an answer. This means you can ask it how to properly pronounce any word in any language or dialect and it should give the pronunciation to you.
