Oliver has been talking about flow for so long.. One of those things, talked about it before it was cool or people understood! That 2015 video is epic!
Visionary. If you haven't go back and Listen episode #189 with Ollie. That was the one that hooked me on the 1v1 concept. Seeing it in person at the grand finale made it all click for me. There is so much potential in the format for growing this sport. Get on board and show up. That's how we grow this thing.
BKW Paintball field in Tucson Arizona in the beginning of the year or later October, November weather is nice. Love to have a 1 v 1. Ty guys for what you done for the sport shot out from the Tucson Punishers Paintball Team.
Obviously Ryan has played longer, but Ollie is the GOAT, because he did everything..retired...came back...won it all AGAIN, and then retired. It's mental. He was the ballistic missile that people couldn't comprehend. I remember Mardi Gras 2001. I was playing right after him, he was the only one to bomb down to field and go under the car wash and shoot 4 guys. No one played the field like he did.
Had our local airball field burn down a few year ago here in Boise, ID. Only place thats close is an old head woods ball type place. Still super fun, but not the same. Thinkin one of yall would like the vibes up here😉..... got meh drift lol. Love the show guys!
1v1 at the field is sick way less paint and won't have to be left out when people are only playing 5v5 or 3v3s or whatever it may be. And way less paint will be used making it more affordable. WE LOVE THE 1v1 FORMAT!!!!
Dude love this sport and hopefully able to make it in the level they are . Bring paintball into the world for it can be an Olympics and I can play in it for USA
We need DVD like montages from every pro event uploaded to UA-cam to bring back the memories for the OGs and put the young people coming up on game how it used to be while growing the audience of paintball UA-cam has so much reach in the world sometimes all it takes it one huge viral battle of a DVD style montage for the sport to just take off and create the wave the OGs have to create the wave for people to ride there’s enough money in this world for everyone they print money everyday the last 4 years so when everyone is doing good going up together as one is the best way not trying to out sell companies and destroy them not carry other companies products promoting everyone with all the paintball stores being one big ass company makes everyone successful not just one
I have shirts from back in the day “cow paddy field paintball”. Ladies shirts. Sunday paintball, got balls, no crying in paintball. General paintball shirts as well as team logo.
I dont play but i support the sport. Make ladies wear and i will more paintball attire! Lets get the wives and Mom’s some cute shirts. This is an untapped market!
I think the playing format needs some overhaul. If there was a way to have players start with a restricted number of pods per team and have ways that players can earn more pods in the game and toss them to team mates... this produces a lot of statistics in games. It is crucial find the right ways of rewarding different positions on the field with the right numbers of pods that correlate with playing their respective positions well. Players playing for paint is a metaphor that all lower level teams can relate to and the visual of procuring more paint in the game makes the televised game very intuitive to fallow for layman's without a lot of need to have the game explained to them. If a new or casual player goes to field they can brag shooting players or how many pods they got and how many pods they tossed to other players. The business of averaging and counting how much paint it costs to play games at different levels could become more comprehensive and with some good math skills the game could be made more accessible to a greater customer base. Games could be described as being a 10 case game, 5 case game, 2 case game etc. Your favorite player averages certain numbers of pods per game, tosses so many pods per game or per minute. There is also a need for points to be earned on player digital profiles starting at the lowest levels you earn points by playing on teams a certain levels and for various stats and results and beginners for paying entries at local fields and equipment purchases, volunteering and ref-ing... every aspect of participation in the game should be monitored via a point system that feeds all the way up to professional level. Once all of these sorts of stats and points are comprehensively incorporated into the game and scale intuitively from beginner points and stats up to pro stats and points the game can be made into a career video game that is bigger than Tony Hawk Pro Skater etc. The game can be fun to play still and incentives can be managed with points from beginners to pro and fun for fantasy manager game folks, stats can be a way of building your reputation just as much as being able to kills players and win 3 on 1's etc. As is Paintball is a gem of a game that is not at all maximizing on plugging into conventional entertainment, business or games. Points for ALL spending of money in the industry, points for ALL forms of commitment in the sport, points for ALL teams and players at EVERY LEVEL. As a complete beginner you might get a few hundred points and local players have so many thousands of points and pros on TV have hundreds of thousands or are million points players or play on million point teams etc. Pods are restricted numbers to begin with but bunkers have pods located on any or all sides of a bunker. Point system needs to be designed to CORRELATE as high as possible with the path to pro (consult with an expert in mathematics like economists, statitions, mathematicians who have briefed in order to fluidly empathize with the path from beginner to a pro championship) and the earning of pods needs to CORRELATE as high as possible with strong positioning on the field (consult with pro teams extensively). This could easily take a decade or more of planning and revisions, but the vision needs to be big and full of solution flexibility. Once it is all comprehensively ordered it can be scaled for maximum investment potential and endless video game iterations could perpetually supplement new player generations introduction and segway into the game. Everyone can know Paintball before they ever play once it's all in order as much as possible. Business players know points and analytics. Game players get magnetic cards and develop their cloud based profile of points and game/player stats all the way through their career...
