Can't believe I missed this video, but I'm here now and have enjoyed every minute of those fabulous books, esp the dragons, I love dragons they are my favourite mythical creature. Was not happy that you have had some nasty comments, what is wrong with people, why do they have to be so nasty. You are such a lovely person and provide a very warm welcome and much needed social aspect to every one who visits your channel. Me, in particular, as I can't get out much due to various debilitating illnesses so you are a lifeline and a very dear friend. Well it was a little upsetting at the time but no I don't let these people get to me... Its their problem not mine and I will just carry on doing what I love, why they have to comment I don't know, just 'move on'..... I think jealousy is the biggest problem for them!!

I hate that people can be so nasty. I could listen to you chat for hours. So all the naysayers can just go be nasty to each other. I love the back pages of the images. I just got approved for my disability last week. One of my plans for my money is to get some cut & collage books. I’m so glad you’re showing all the pages so I know which ones I need to buy two of. 😊 that way I can have the images and the back pages. ❤

My cut and collage book has a special thanks of buying her book, so she gives an option of downloading the entire content of it in PDF format. All you do is scan the bar code square thing. The book is by Dreamcatcher publish. So that's way cool.

Trying to humbly address some of your questions (just my opinion).
Why would people put a background design on the other side of the image page?
Many people do not like that, but they often do not mind if it is a background design that can be used as such. People really hate it when authors double print the images themselves on both sides because they have to choose.
I think it might be due to printing costs. Once we print color images or just text, there is a cost per page, whether it is blank or not. One sheet of paper represents 2 pages, front and back.
Color printing, especially premium colors as opposed to standard, is very costly. A whole book with just one tiny graphic in color will make the book qualify for color printing. We can't do black & white for some pages and then color for a few.
Yes, authors could add those background pages separately but then the cost of printing would go up. There is a flat color printing fee up to 40 pages. After that, there is a charge per page.... costly!
I have noticed that more authors insert background pages in between image pages, but then it means fewer pages for images.
About not being able to see the inside of a book prior to buying.
Amazon used to have a 'look inside feature', now replaced by a 'read sample button'.
Unfortunately, this is not available to 'low content books', and collage books are considered low content. (I think).
It's up to the authors to put what is called A+ content, usually displayed lower on the sale page.
Authors can thus choose which pages to show from their books. Many simply dread the process, but it has been shown that A+ is crucial for sales, especially for books that are visual.
Thanks for your reviews. They are very helpful (they make up for missing A+) and for sharing tidbits of your family life.

People that leave these types of nasty comments have problems themselves, I believe they also could be a certain amount of jealousy involved too. Like not being able to afford purchasing these books etc. I just delete them and carry on doing what I want.
Printing on both side does make sense but it can be a lesser type of image, I have some with a faded image on the backs and that is pleasant and not really usable so that seems a good option.

It was a string of things which led me to the collages, far from where I started!
I love the more artistic and realistic books. Then this led me to all the cutsy stuff and honestly my toasts are burning, I am not a fan.
This was all part of my market study to see if the genre interested me for creating books, but first there was so much to learn about image sources and treatment.
No, I have not done any collage since I was very young, but I was a very creative child loving painting, collages, writing. I prefered that over playing outside.
Yes, I did order a few collage books. I needed to see the actual quality and interiors... and then, I found all the collage videos and I am binge watching.
I am not sure I found all yours but I will.
Sincerely, you are my favorite. The most popular ones are sometimes hard for me to watch, too much 'cutes' and 'squeaks'. If I were not binging, it might be easier to watch.
But... lots of interesting reviews out there, especially interesting are those reviewing less known books.
Yes, definitely steampunk, whatever strikes your fancy, I will watch, even if my toasts are burning!
I see other reviewers have books sent to them for free (the most popular even has a P.O.Box listed) or publishers send them, especially the British ones. Otherwise, it is a bit spendy!

I've been doing collage for a few years now, I started after having had an accident that laid me up for a couple of months and stopped me doing my then hobby of jewellery making and glass beadmaking.
I found Mixed media and art journalling, moved onto junk journal making and now I do a bit more gluebooking since last year when I was diagnosed with breast cancer... Gluebooks are much less planned than collaging. But I do still make journals but they are more like collage and gluebooks. I don't do the 'floofy' stuff so much 🤣🤣
Junk Journals are usually for myself as I enjoy making them and I don't sell anything so it's mainly glueing 😊😊😊
I do know what you mean about the 'cutes' and 'squeaks'. I do watch Nicole from Relax.Cut.Glue but others I do pick out ones I like but there's not many of them, at present I'm really only watching gluebooking videos.
