Gosh it's hard to pick because I like all these girls. But, I think i'd like to see Jordan Chiles return for a 2nd Olympics. I don't really view any of these choices as extremely consistent. Kayla had some scores that can contribute at Winter Cup, but I doubt those routines would produce those scores internationally.
If the USA could "man" (excuse the expression !) three full women's teams of five gymnasts each to go to Paris, they would, quite possibly, win the Gold, the Silver and the Bronze medals for the team event. That's how incredibly talented and deep the gymnastics pool is here in the US. I have no idea how just five women can be selected ....
Shilese. I didn’t hear you mention her. Maybe I missed it but she is a lock. It’s Simone, Shilese then the rest are up for debate. But Shilese has a spot.
1000% skye Blakey! We are desperate for people on beam and bars, and that’s her specialty! They have to think about the team and what it needs and not the gymnast itself.
I don't see Skye anywhere near the team, nor Konnor...I think it'll be a coin toss between Jordan and Leanne to see who is best at Nationals and Trials...should Jordan have her Cheng or Amanar back then she'll have the edge over Leanne, I don't see Kayla on the team but an alternate maybe we'll have to see how har Kelli pushes her and what upgrades she makes!!!
I wouldn’t put Skye on a team at all! She’s fallen at the last two worlds on her specialty. I need a team with consistent athletes that will hit and bring home medals.
The girls that get on the Olympic team should not have any stutter steps, balance checks or that horrible look of ‘what am I suppose to do now’. We want the best team. Let’s look at Simone, Gabby, and the rest of the field that was not mentioned. During the next couple of gymnastic events and then of course, the Olympic trials. Because looking at this compilation, I can’t tell. They are all about the same.
i don’t really agree with the scoring range that you listed for kayla…i completely agreed with gymlandias rescoring of kayla’s winter cup routine, which lowered her score by almost a point i believe. she’s more capable of scoring a 12.5-13.2 id say.
None of these young ladies mentioned are above any one. They all will be competing against each other for a spot on the team that will represent the USA in Paris. All of these athletes are talented it’s putting it together when it counts. That’s my unprofessional opinion. ❤
If that is the assumption then I think the person who is going to take that last spot is someone who you don't have on here and that is JADE CAREY. Because she has not been posting any videos people seem to think she is concentrating solely on college and have no plans to really fight for a place on the team but it is because she is NOT posting anything is why I am confident that the next time she competes she will be bringing it. Outside of Jade, there is a good chance that Skye will make the team if she comes with a Cheng. If Jordan is interested in making the team then I think she too will be coming hard when next she competes and can make the team with an Amanar. Essentially, ANYONE who can come with a vault better than a DTY has the best chance of all these girls to make the team.
@@makaylalovesgymnastics i dont think suni or gabby are lock for the olympics. The only locks are simone and shilese, thats just my opinion. I believe the fiercest competition would be among Kayla, Leanne and Skyle.
@@3GensOfVictory Nobody in my view is a lock except Simone. I think this is going to be the most FIERCELY contested team to make in the HISTORY of USAG and I believe most of the gymnasts will be separated by mere tenths and hundredths.

I dont think Suni is a lock, just because of her illness. Simone, Shilese, Gabby, Jordan & Jade, Konnor or Skye for me. Either way, go Team USA.
