Welcome to our comments! We've had lots of fact-checkers here pointing out that the 2nd largest barrier reef is in Belize. Just want to clarify it's the same reef! The reef is so large it covers 3 countries, extending nearly 1,000 km (620 miles) from the northern tip of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula toward the Bay Islands in northern Honduras. Cozumel is so pretty. I had a friend that taught scuba driving .She told me they would go to Cozumel every year for their deep dive.. She was termally ill. before she died.I.met her at church.she was a character. She called me and told me was dying and he died a few days later.Y’all diving made me think of her. That dive was so pretty. The starfish and the fish just awesome.Thank you so much for sharing your journey in Mexico. I just love watching your videos.
So glad you enjoyed the video Laura! I'm happy it brought you warm memories of your dear friend! We really enjoy hearing from you in the comments. Thank you for traveling with us! - Dennis
Cozumel is my dream location...we couldn't go this year cuz of covid..we've been there 12 years in a row...the diving is beyond amazing...we fly straight to cozumel and stay for 2 weeks at a time..enjoy.
That sounds like the right way to do it! I'm sorry your tradition was broken this year. Maybe next year you can go for three weeks to make up for it. Or twice lol
El Cielo means "Heaven", and is the most spectacular location in the Caribbean Sea. Its very shallow and is located right off of Cozumel in the center of the Caribbean, and only accesible by boat, in which we have a special boat that can take you to the most shallow spots of El Cielo.
What......a Mexico video and it isn’t even Monday. My wife, Chris, says this would be right up her alley. I guess it comes from her Key West childhood.
Wow those ferry lines are crazy. I have not been in over a year but have taken the ferry several times and never seen it like that. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I hope all the people that rely on the tourist industry make it through.
@@EatSeeRV both ferry companies used to run every hour during the day. The line would start on the upper deck after you went up the escalater. A few years ago there were 3 companies but that is another story
@@EatSeeRV As epic as it sounds yes! Two episodes shot and in the can. Trying to clear my plate to edit them and follow in your footsteps to YT success. Thanks for being an inspiration.
Hello thanks for the video, so for booking the snorkeling tour do we need to book in advance online? Or we find the shop in playa de Camino one day in advance and book there?
I love Mexico, especially the people, however you should try Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, first rate snorkelling off the beach over the coral reef and snorkel Ras Mohamed and White Island, I would also recommend the desert safari which includes quad bikes; camel ride, dance show, food, star gazing and make bread how the tribal people have done for centuries an excellent excursion.
Hey guys great video. We are here in Oaxaca at el Rancho rv park. We spotted your sticker on the fridge. It was also at our last stop in Puebla. Must have been from last year I think. Anyway it made my wife and I very happy to spot your mark. Hope everything is going well for you guys. One question where do you find coco fiber for your toilet down here? Haven't ran out yet but it will happen. Next area for us will be Puerto Escondido. Maybe we'll see you there.
That's AWESOME! Haha do glad your down here exploring and you saw our stickers! So fun 🙂 we are headed that way actually! Reach out to us on social media (instagram preferably). We can try to coordinate! - Liz
My wife Candice, and I are heading on our first ever cruise, first ever vacation together, and are heading on the Carnival Valor out of New Orleans to Cozumel. We want to snorkel while there and are researching which snorkeing excursion we should purchase. We came across your channel here, and wanted to ask you which of the snorkel excursions would you personally recommend? -Nick
The images are beautiful. Your comment about Cozumel at the beginning though not so much. You’re a tourist there just like everyone else. I love snorkeling there too but it’s also a part of what took this beautiful place away from the natives who lived there in peace not that long ago.
Fly direct to Coz, spend 3,4, 5, 6 days there. scuba or snorkeling the local reefs. you don't have to do the tourist scene. and you can fly direct there then home.
Wow that looked very empty and unspectacular underwater, compared to other tropical destinations like Thailand or the Philippines… good to know. We will not go snorkeling or diving in Cozumel.
The "fake" side is perfectly tailored for the tourist visiting and doesn't give an authentic representation of Mexico. It's all real and I'm not denying it's reality. But if you see only one side of the coin, the coin they want you to see, you may never knew the other side exists. - Liz

That looked like so much fun. The waves looked a little strong and the white sand at the bottom looked like it would be so soft. ❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!
Yes it was pretty choppy that day but still wonderful. The sand is extra soft here! - Liz

That was gorgeous! I love snorkeling.... I haven't snorkeled yet in Cozumel, but I have in Belize and Roatan. Have a great weekend!

That water... was in this area years and years ago. I want warm water!
😀Hope you can find warm water soon! Thanks for watching - Liz
Coz changes as soon as the cruise ships leave each early evening. It feels like the entire island exhales.
Hello thanks for the video, so for booking the snorkeling tour do we need to book in advance online? Or we find the shop in playa de Camino one day in advance and book there?
There are tons of tour companies all throughout the main strip. Mexico doesn't book tours in advance too often, but I would book it the day I arrive.
Hi! I am visiting Playa del Carmen and would love to have a day like this at Cozumel. Which company did you book the tour spend the day with?
What type of camera did you use to film the underwater portion?
A go pro with a water case and snorkel and diving filters!
"sea tortugas" lol
That’s some beautiful diving scenery. Liz you starting to sound Latina. 😁👍
Haha 😂 I'm working on it! #goals

Do you not use fins when you snorkel?
Not normally. Sometimes it helps sometimes it's more of a burden.

Not sure what you mean by which part of the snorkeling tour would I recommend, we liked it all.
@@EatSeeRV Oh, I meant which snorkeling tour? I know the ship has a couple, as well as a few local excursions....

Do you have a website for the tour company or the name , I couldn’t understand it .
No I'm sorry. It's like a stall you can find on the street. I wish Mexico's tourism sites we're better but many #s and sites don't work.
@@EatSeeRV thanks
Wow that looked very empty and unspectacular underwater, compared to other tropical destinations like Thailand or the Philippines… good to know. We will not go snorkeling or diving in Cozumel.
IF one only knows how to snorkel from the surface and not know how to (or is scared to) dive downward, can you see anything in El Cielo?
Yes your definitely can you just wouldn't enjoy the other spots very much
I vacationed a week in Isla Mujeres a couple years ago. It was heaven! Forget Cozumel, way to touristy.
Both are beautiful but we agree we liked isla mujeres a lot! Felt more local
The second largest barrier reef is in Belize. I Love Cozumel.
This barrier connects to the one in belize. It's so large it goes through 3 countries! 👍
2nd Largest reef is in Belize.
This is the same reef. It covers three countries. Thanks for watching - Liz
Why you always say the real México is there a fake one,?
