I am pretty sure I was one of the people commenting about the need for a 38mm variant. I tried the blue 41 on and while it fit my 7 inch wrist fine, I'd really prefer a bit smaller. It's good to see Longines finally came through. The champagne dial doesn't do much for me, but I like literally every other color available. This really is a good value in that dressy sport watch area. It's 1/3 the cost of the Aqua Terra, and certainly much more than 1/3 of that watch. The Aqua Terra is an excellent watch (my father has the 38mm variant), but the lack of micro adjust can be levied against that as well. Would it be nice if the lume was a bit better? Sure, but at least there is lume. This isn't the kind of watch where you're always depending on it after hours in the dark. Kudos to Longines for another release proving the brand is moving up in the watch world. Thanks for doing a video on this one, as I hadn't even heard about this release.

I had bought the 41mm version of this with the green dial before the 38mm came out. The size definitely was the only reservation I had about it, but it was still within an acceptable proportion to my 6.5 wrist and so I went for it. Turns out I quite liked the fullness of it and still to this day marvel at how amazing of a watch it is. All this being said, I'd get the 38mm 😂

Love this release, I would get the green dial. My only gripe is the lug width, why 19mm? I like to swap straps frequently and all of my other watches (all 38 or 39 mm), have 20mm lug width so I have probably 30 straps in that size, and zero 19mm.

It is great value when one considers the long term history of the brand. The lack of an on the fly adjustment on the bracelet (as executed so brilliantly with the IWC PILOT XX but at twice the price) might be a deal breaker for me....but I will certainly be visiting my local dealer to see and feel the watch on my wrist - that's the moment.
A 43mm version next would be nice :) especially for us with larger wrists since there aren't that many watches in that size if you're aiming for a dressier look, at least to my novice knowledge
Tbh, the main setback in my opinion on the new conquest is the water resistance, which has dramatically decreased compared to the previous version. Other than that, it's a gorgeous watch
Excellent video as always. This was helpful. I've been wearing watches for awhile but recently been looking at Hamiltons and Longines. It's kinda funny, when I've been wearing Seiko and Citizen for decades, I always found 40mm or 39mm watches which fits me perfectly. Now as I look at mid tier and above, I can never find the perfect size for me lol. Its always 38 or 41! That's ok though, I'll just have to try a 38, at least with Longines (since their lugs are SO long). Thank you for displaying the Silver dial. Didn't see it anywhere else on YT. I think it looks great. Also, hoping the ligher color looks bigger for my tastes. Though its a shame I can't get the Green or Blue in a 39mm! If only lol
I own three Longines watches currently and sold a fourth which I regretted doing. I can’t think of a single brand right now where there are so many different references that I want to own.
I knew Longines was going to release it in 38mm. Can’t wait to pick one up for myself if I continue to work as a Longines AD, if I get accepted to that new fancy job, maybe I won’t and just pay off my seiko first haha.
A very nice offering at a good size. My only issue is the butterfly clasp. Microadjustment is so important/useful, and to have to rely on removing half links is just too inconvenient. 19 mm lug width is not ideal, but sometimes the design warrants it. So, not that bothered by that.
I wish the oris big crown was in 38mm (with the metal bracelet). You can just get the 40mm with metal bracelet 😢. I am now more tempted to go for this, I just really don’t like going 39/40+
Ask and you shall receive... Green is the standout in my opinion. I do wish it had a normal clasp with on the fly adjustment though. Overall, these are fantastic watches.

yes. tissot powermatic 80 movement is 2824 based. longines L888 is 2892 based. different tiers. 2824 and SW200 are usually in 1-3k watches. 2892 and SW300 are usually in 3-8k watches. so it's quite a good value here.
@@richardlocke7264 no, the gentleman has the C07.811, not the C07.111. the .811 has traditional escapement and silicon balance spring. Only the .111 has the "high tech escapement" (i.e. plastic)
@@sagoamicably6486 Thanks good to know.
This is a very good Polerouter alternative if they have omitted the crown guards and dateless??
I really enjoy learning from your videos. Would you cover the Longines Conquest Chronograph?
If only lol
How much of a difference in dial legibility is 41mm versus 38mm?
I own three Longines watches currently and sold a fourth which I regretted doing. I can’t think of a single brand right now where there are so many different references that I want to own.
I knew Longines was going to release it in 38mm. Can’t wait to pick one up for myself if I continue to work as a Longines AD, if I get accepted to that new fancy job, maybe I won’t and just pay off my seiko first haha.
I'm happy to rock the green 41mm. I do love 38mm size watches, but this watch act great in both sizes.
Good review again. Nice watch - love my 37mm Champagne Spirit. Get going 🚀
i have had the 41mm in white since the beginning of the year and i think it is simply beautiful. 😍
i have a diameter of 19.5
Okay Longines let's do a 38mm GMT next!!
There is Zulu 39mm
@@daboebay87 I meant a 39mm of the HydroConquest GMT
