Random Fun fact: the Reason JDAM's on US Naval aircraft (F-14B and the Later AV-8's in game) are "White" is Because they have some sort of special frost coating that Keeps them safe incase of a fire so They don't blow up and start a massive chain reaction.

it's crazy how much people cope abt the pantsir when it's so easy to dodge, you realized it once you use it youself and go against a skilled cas player and then i just copied them and found it so easy to dodge

Hunter, the new heli damage model is broken. All helis other than KAs and Apaches have a single control module. A single MG shot can damage it, resulting in the loss of flares, chaff, thermals, gunner sight and all weapons.
Yes in my opinion they made a mistake in adding those modules, there were other solutions
Going from heli absorbing Sabot to have your entire electronic malfunctioned by grazing the ground in just single update.
@@mich421 Not quite. The helis that got a remodel work fine. HOWEVER, the ones that didn't are in trouble, since the game still thinks those modules are there (they are, in fact, absent) and if the heli recieves ANY damage the game freaks out and disables every module that it thinks is "missing"

Been trying this tactic for a while, try flying the F15C with JDAMs for CAS while using a singular GBU-8 as a targeting pod :D

@@MrUsernameisinvalid If you really do not want to lose the gun, a "trick" with the crappy IR sight on the AGM-65D/G (and GBU-15(V)2/B, same sight) is to aim at potentional target spots (spawn region, marked targets) and click the lock button to activate the seeker, then wiggle around the seeker and it may automatically lock onto something. IF it looks like it locked onto a very bright spot, it's most likely a dead vehicle so unlock it and try again, if it's something somewhat faint it's probably a live target. This way you can still use the maximum range of these seekers without a pod. OR, use the daylight sight (black/white screen) and buy a 4K monitor (merely a small monetary investment...) or something to mitigate the bad zoom levels (like effectively playing on a 4K monitor makes your zoom 4x as good over 1080p, improving the max 5x zoom of the IR seeker to 20x, a usuable number).
I do 100% recommend you to still take the TGP over the gun though, it just makes a world of difference in targeting. You won't be dogfighting too often anyway. Instead if you want to have some self defense or pre-emptive strike ability, either lose 1 of the outer pylons for 2 9Ls or take AGM-65Gs instead, which can be combined with the shoulder pylons for 2 9Ls, one on each side. You can do similar with the laser guided bombs, but I do not recommend using them over the IR guided stuff for obvious reasons.
Yesterday me played 11.3 Germany in Air Sim.
My options was Event Tornado or F4F [both got dump bombs and a base gave 300 points (wtf)]
While someone used that AV88 to slaughter the AF AA and got 8500 points.

I really wish paveways would get fixed so we could use them properly on this. Makes me wish we could take the D Mavericks so we could have 6. Its insane that 4 mavericks costs the same as 6.

Very nice that they fixed its thrust vectoring bugging out. JDAMs have been surprisingly decent. I expected them to do less, but spaa players love being static and clueless.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be more efficient and easier to just take like a couple 1000lbs bombs and use the targeting pod to look and just drop from without having to wait for a specific target to be sitting still. I like the idea of the new bombs but it seems to be only good for maybe 2 scenarios.
What do you mean by "couple 1000lbs bombs", unguided bombs you mean or laser guided bombs? Because JDAM is an upgraded unguided bomb (Guided to a static point on the ground with maximum precision), you can dive bomb multiple targets precisely, and you can toss multiple bombs better than CCRP bombing with unguided bombs, more precise and also earlier release moment because JDAM gliding is amazing. I can't find a real reason to take an unguided bomb over JDAM.
If you mean laser guided bombs that's totally another story, because JDAM is under the category of fire and forget weapons, while laser GBUs are not.

@@Hunter_i86 yeah I had meant to add dumb bomb in the comment but I guess I forgot, but I feel like trying to precisely find targets for JDAM's leaves you out in the open for too long idk if it's just that I'm used to GBU's & AGM's or if i can't get anything done with pantsirs around. I guess it's just that I'm not used to it and don't find it useful 🤷♂️

@@PhantomVirus10 honestly it seems like the opposite. while unguided is better for close range since you can adjust the drop easier since you dont have to switch to camera view or spam the red square button, you can actually do the same thing but easier and safer with the jdams by doing what he did in the very last part of the video. With normal bombs you have to align and then nose up until release permission, with JDAMs you just have to nose towards the general direction for alignment and then fling it really quick and it self aligns on its own. Plus having lofting is helpful sometimes. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Mainly the disadvantage of the JDAM being a REQUIRED GPS point and them capping out at just 500lbs.
i've noticed in this update that the fire from destroyed vehicles doens't render until you get close enough, its kinda annoying when you're doing cas, anyways great video as usual hunter :D

Have you played this thing in air sim yet? You can take out 70% of a convoy in 1 bombing run and then go for a2a kills.
I've found using the thermal pod and great RWR honestly better then having a good radar, makes identifying targets much easier, and the gun has great accuracy.
Very good plane, I dropped 10x JDAM on 10x SPAA of the enemy airfield from 10,000m altitude, it was fantastic. Video soon :)

This plane is so cruel being able to see 10.3 down tiers while the tech tree one has the exact same CAS kit at a higher BR but it’s a cash grab from the snail to get the click bait cows to buy a top tier CAS plane to play GRB with. So much for split BR for air and ground
In my opinion, both Harrier NA & A-10C should be 11.7BR, at the same level of top tier SPAA. Harrier is lower than normal and A-10C at 12.0 is too much as well.
They're fine where they are and in all honesty the A-10 is even worse. There are plenty of SPAA that are more than capable of slapping both those aircraft out of the sky, especially the A-10. All you have to do is not play SPAA like an idiot like the people in the video he killed. Get out of spawn, dont sit still, use hard cover, and pay attention just like the planes have to. You are nothing but an easy target if you sit in spawn, first thing CAS MUST do is check for SPAA, when you sit in spawn you have a very visible, predictable, and set location you can be atl making it far easier to find you. I play both ground and CAS and the second a competent SPAA player is up, its nearly impossible to do anything.
Now unfortunately that also means open maps like sands of sinai are a prime hunting ground for CAS, but at the same time the opposite is true for more covered and CQC maps where SPAA have the advantage of protection and sheer amounts of clutter to hide in. Play smart and CAS isnt an issue, unless you also play a nation with terrible SPAA like USA.

Hello, lower BR is the most important advantage, 11.3BR in Ground RB. Also laser guided Mavericks. And it has JDAM.

Hello, there is no "easily" against Pantsir S1. The best method as I experienced is terrain masking and surprising attacks with multiple Mavericks or fire and forget bombs like TV or JDAM. Also bombs can be shot down with missiles now, so you might want to know that as well. Thanks :)
From my experience, the cheapest and easiest is to spawn AV-8B or F-14B, stay low, terrian masking, pop up at 5 miles and release the JDAMs in a spread pattern around the SPAAs, make sure to turn on counter measures, then turn away and dive down behind terrian

Better than A-10C LoL. Harrier is faster and great climber.
half the loadouts on both dont even work, but atleast the Harrier can dodge and get around. A-10C cant even dive to the deck before it gets a pantsir missile in the cockpit when it spawns. The A-10C is extremely over-br'd and its probably because of the 9Ms, they need to drop the 9Ms and drop its BR and just be straight with the players and say its for balance.
I'm rather disappointed the night attack got shoved into premium tree, feels a lot like A-6E TRAM, should've been tech tree. 🙁

$70 is too much for some people and too little for others, to buy or not is totally your call, if I wasn't in the partnership program for example I would wait to grind an event for two weeks, gain some GJNs and get the premium pack later basically for free, and as ground RB player I wouldn't care much about F-4S or F-20 but definitely will go for the Harrier NA. It is a beautiful plane at a good BR, and more efficient than A-10C.

My issue is with a family and kids I can really only play for an hour or less at night once everyone one is asleep, so grinding through the tech tree or even vehicles is pretty much out of the question.. and I have my whole American ground and heli tech trees completed, air is the only one I struggle with so I typically get premiums to have a chance and some who enjoy top tiers. Like I already have the F-4s and F-20. They're fun but it seems like the AV8B NA is a formittable GRB cas option for $70
hey hunter i have a question when i use the a10c with hydra rockets and i use sight stabilization the rectacle changes and it says next to rocket “auto” can you maybe explain how this works and if it is usefull and maybe beter then just the rocket balistic computer?
Hello, couldn't understand what is the use of it for unguided rockets, however with laser guided rockets after locking a target a new rocket sight will appear at around 1.5km range from the target to help you aim the laser rockets, but 1.5km is too short so it is not very useful I guess. The new sight appears too when unguided rockets are selected at 1.5km when a target is locked by the TGP but it is broken, it is aiming at some random spot. A new feature but broken, it needs a fix.

Trying but the situation is not good, Fox 3 spam is silly in top tier sim ground battles. Also my TGPs are not locking, and Maverick sometimes track and sometimes it doesn't today. I might do the "check file" thing and try again.
@@Hunter_i86 its happened to me in SAB with maverick, TPG, and even worst GBU doesn’t work properly, AGR-20 barely work without CCIP, you have to watch your TPG range, and Ccip are glitchy.
Is the premium one worth using in ground rb for the battle rating? Or does it have the same matchmaker as the AV-8B+?
Of course, 11.3 is a great BR, it is a sweetspot because you won't get matched with 12.7 Fox 3 monsters so you get a lot of down-tiers.
whats your ideal weapon layout for cas on this thing? rn im using 3x 65G + 3x JDAM and having relative success, but I'd like the experts opinion :D

Im confused do jdams track the target? i dropped them from 25,000ft and they missed all the targets.
Nope, they track the point which you looked at whilst dropping via gps. They have no optical / radar sensors to be corrected via laser / radar designator inflight or by tracking a target through emissions

JDAM do not track target, they lock on to coordinate by GNSS

@@shaunkelly9053 Spectating the missile is not accurate, there is desync, the real spot the missile hit is shown at the kill-feed camera, top right corner of the screen.
it wouldnt have to hit directly anyway, Mavericks are basically bombs, they have a ton of explosive in them. Not as much as a normal bomb of the same size, but its ALOT.
